Week 6.
Losing three people in one week isn't very nice, is it? Morty Smith, Rakka, and Dio Brando have all joined the deceased. It will be hard to forget them. It will be even harder to forget that execution and Dio's flying, screaming head. Life must go on though and as usual, the group has at least a little bit of time to recover. Saturday can be dedicated to rest and sleep; on Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock. The stairwells are clear of bodies; there's no more death to be dealt with for the time being. Unless, of course, you happened to recover something particularly unfortunate in your dreams... Once again, there's a new floor to explore; your reward for doing your job well. Some of your antics have resulted in more rule changes, effective immediately. You might want to avoid breaking those if you're fond of staying alive. But then again, there are ghosts. Maybe dying wouldn't be so bad after all. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 17 |

Which is why I was tellin' Logan...we should find a way to make 'em turn against each other. Either have the shadows fight him or--
[He stops himself mid-syllable, mouth open.]
Better yet, bring the Conductor on our side.

[ And Bakugou feels like he kind of understands some things about the Conductor. Enough to make him think it's a no-brainer, if he has to pick between going up against the Conductor or those shadow things. ]
But you might be right about that. Observant kept telling me he's definitely a human being, by which I think he meant he's a mundane human being. Unless he knows those shadows' weaknesses, then he's probably just as defenseless against them as we are.

There's a lot to him that give me the hint that he ain't completely on board with all this. He worked from the bottom up to get to his position, as terrible as it may be. He mentioned a sacrifice. He's been in love before, sorta, all failed relationships. He risked his life while on the job, he wanted to try some of my cookin' if I ever got out alive, and he did say it's possible for us to escape.
I-it doesn't make him free of guilt, he's definitely gettin' tried, but he ain't our biggest enemy here.

[ So he's definitely capable of normal human emotions and all that. Well, he's probably at least as capable of them as Bakugou is... ]
Can't say I like him, but like I said. If he can help us, I'll take it. Those shadow things... man, fuck that, I would literally rather set this place on fire than... ugh.

[It's like the the guy is actively trying to not care about anything.]
Yeah, there's gotta be a reason he's doin' all this besides for entertainment. I wouldn't wanna cross those shadows no matter what we were workin' on. You have to wonder why they're even teamin' up with a regular human who just happens to be a mad scientist.

[ That was definitely a weird conversation about family members the two of them had... ]
And you got me, but he also told me that he's probably a... and these are his words, not mine... "an abomination unto God". So I'm guessing that and those shadows have something to do with each other.

He told me he wasn't like "normal" humans, as he put it. That there was something wrong with him, something that makes him feel practically nothing about others. He doesn't know a lot of people, but from his wordin', I believe he's mostly in contact with creatures like those shadows. It's like...he only picks whoever's most useful to him and that research of his.
