WEEK 6 Losing three people in one week isn't very nice, is it? Morty Smith, Rakka, and Dio Brando have all joined the deceased. It will be hard to forget them. It will be even harder to forget that execution and Dio's flying, screaming head. Life must go on though and as usual, the group has at least a little bit of time to recover. Saturday can be dedicated to rest and sleep; on Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock. The stairwells are clear of bodies; there's no more death to be dealt with for the time being. Unless, of course, you happened to recover something particularly unfortunate in your dreams... Once again, there's a new floor to explore; your reward for doing your job well. Some of your antics have resulted in more rule changes, effective immediately. You might want to avoid breaking those if you're fond of staying alive. But then again, there are ghosts. Maybe dying wouldn't be so bad after all. [ Guess who hasn't been paying attention to CHICKEN RIOT? Yeah, this guy. ]

— That's. A lot more chickens than I remember there being?

Heya, Bakugou!

[The chickens all turn in perfect unison to look at Bakugou entering the room. That's how enraptured they are by Hibiki's animal whispering.]

Mm, it looks like we've been gettin' four a day lately. Isn't it wonderful?

[Including Hibiki's, there are now thirty-four eyes on Mr. Volatile. Isn't it amazing.]

[ That was... actually really freaky oh god he has to remember from now on that if he pisses Hibiki off (again), she could set a whole flock of chickens on him. And it'd probably go just as well as chicken attacks in Legend of Zelda go. ]

Wonderful. Sure. That's a word you could use in this situation.

[ ... ]

You don't happen to know why the chickens seem to be multiplying, do you?

Huh? Why?

[She gives him a blank stare as the chickens go back about their business (still centering around Hibiki as she stands up. Clearly, Hibiki has never thought about the "why" here. Why would she. This is wonderful.]

I have no idea. Dorika's a little jealous of all the hens, but otherwise they seem to be doin' alright.

So we're just getting more chickens for the shits and giggles? That's... definitely weird.

[ Conductor what are you doing. ]

What about the chicken feed and stuff like that, has that been increasing too?

[ Is it time for him to finally stop hoarding that bag of sunflower seeds... ]

It's probably the nicest thing the conductor's ever done. It's makin' my week a little better after everything's that happened, but I'd rather have Rakka and Morty...

[She's still very upset.]

Chickens can eat all sorts of things, so I usually feed 'em scraps from the kitchen after everyone's done cookin'. They love it!

Yeah, it would be... I mean, unless there's some kind of nefarious chicken plot at hand? Where is he even getting chickens, for that matter.

[ ... Is the Conductor losing it... ]

I mean, I'll take birds over the stuff he normally gives us, but this is... really weird.

[nankurunaisa]

It's not that weird, is it? I mean...considerin' the...everythin' else we've seen.

[Ghosts of the dead. Shadow monsters. Executions.]

I think things are finally gonna get a little better! These chickens are a good sign.
