Week 6.

WEEK 6 Losing three people in one week isn't very nice, is it? Morty Smith, Rakka, and Dio Brando have all joined the deceased. It will be hard to forget them. It will be even harder to forget that execution and Dio's flying, screaming head. Life must go on though and as usual, the group has at least a little bit of time to recover. Saturday can be dedicated to rest and sleep; on Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock. The stairwells are clear of bodies; there's no more death to be dealt with for the time being. Unless, of course, you happened to recover something particularly unfortunate in your dreams... Once again, there's a new floor to explore; your reward for doing your job well. Some of your antics have resulted in more rule changes, effective immediately. You might want to avoid breaking those if you're fond of staying alive. But then again, there are ghosts. Maybe dying wouldn't be so bad after all. Is this what Ashley was going on about, too, about there only being one god in the entire world? I don't know about you, but I'd think they would be somewhat overworked.

I'm not religious. But the biggest religions in our world do believe in just one.

You're not? You mean, you've never seen proof they exist?

No. No one has really, they just say they have.

I'll admit that I haven't personally seen any gods or spirits, but really, that just sounds odd.

Which part?

[Dryly. She's really not religious.]

Every part. There's no real question on whether gods are real or not where I come from, and different places have different gods. You go to a town or a settlement and it's probably got its own, and some people can even see them, even if it isn't the most common gift. That's just how it is.

Really? That sounds odd to me.

What do they do?

Manage the weather, I suppose, bless the crops? They say our goddess keeps the weather fairly nice, too. It isn't perfect, of course, but it isn't fifty below, either.

Do they ever talk to anyone?

Of course they would, why wouldn't they? It would probably be far too dull for them otherwise. It's rare for someone to see one, though, or even a minor spirit.

So...what do you do with them? Like, are there churches and things?

[announcemyvictory]

Yes, though our town doesn't have one. It's a little small. We've also got festivals, though those are usually more about a specific thing, like things that happen at certain times of the year. But it's all about appreciating what we're given.
