Resistance Meeting 4: Live Free or Resist Hard
[ Early Saturday morning, long before the meeting could reasonably be expected to take place, there's a fresh note slipped under everyone's doors:
Wow, that must have been a pain to write 10 times... let alone 26, just in case anyone else has been playing musical rooms. Or maybe Youko had insomnia last night. Who knows? What matters is that she'll be in the Conference Room from 9AM onwards, nursing a cup of that Anteiku Coffee and writing things sporadically into a notebook from time to time. She's... also still wearing Logan's spare goddamn clothes, because apparently that is going to be a thing.
But hey: at least there's two large plates piled with biscuits/cookies and the fancy candies from the kitchen! As well as 11 plates because we are not savages, oh my god. ]
Please bring as many letters from the Conductor as you saved. Not only yours, but those of the deceased, if you have them/COULD find them. We NEED to compile what we know.
In the hopes of easing any understandable reluctance, every letter brought grants you the right to hear one of my secrets/embarrassing stories at your leisure.

In fact, he doesn't bring much at all. He does, however, have the first journal belonging to 'Rachel', a sheet of handwritten notes, and sketchbook filled with maps, landscapes, and Russian letters.
... He also, after a moment of hesitation, lays out Mordecai's collection of fanfiction, though if asked... ]
I'm not really sure what that all is.
[ You were a weird one, space dad. ]

I wonder if we could trick the Conductor into translating for us.

Maybe we can ask him for a dictionary.

... And why's everything in, uh... that's something Eastern European, I think.
[ strategically putting off the fanfic ICly for now but it'll happen, it'll happen ]

[ Also just gonna strategically ignore the fissures... ]

[ Fissures, what fissures. Those are just lines on a map. Maybe those lines don't want us assuming anything about their identity. ]
Actually, isn't it kind of weird we can't read it? I mean, you and I are talking just fine, but I kinda doubt we have the same native language.

[ That's a good point. And reminds him of something. ]
Hey. Does the name 'Mikasa' sound familiar to you?
no subject
Oh! That's the story he said he'd write for me... [;n;]
no subject
[ Damnit, space dad, don't hide things from him! ]
... Do you know if he usually made up stories about people he knew?
no subject
[...he begins skimming the fanfiction.]
It's art. That's what it is.

You think so?
no subject
...the artistic value may not be entirely intentional, but it's still art.
