WEEK 2.
Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means. No more excuses from here on out. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain? |

[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Coordinators, you can do so through private meetings with Alena!]

Nngh. [When the door swings open, it's to a bleary-eyed teen who flinches at the light in the halls like she's a vampire herself. Rin rubs at one eye and frowns confusedly at her visitor.] So it's you. What are you hollering about...?
[She heard the knocking, but wasn't awake enough to parse the words coming through the door.
...it's also worth noting, what with Elda's sensitive nose, that there's something absolutely rank smelling in here, like something that was left at the back of the fridge and should have been thrown out a year ago.]

[ She says as she... shoves Rin aside so that she can come inside and shut the door behind her. Which. Isn't pleasant, let her tell you, because this smells awful and it's making her tear up? But that's sure something she's going to attempt to do. ]

Rin is only half awake and not feeling the best besides, so Elda's able to push her aside easily, actually. Ow ow ow, that was the door? Rin makes a low sound in the back of her throat like that hurt a lot, or she hit her funny bone, and grips the doorknob tightly to steady herself. If she wasn't, she'd probably be marching after Elda to grab her by the arm or something, but as it is vampire grandma has full reign.]
Agh! [Biting her tongue, Rin glares in Elda's direction. If Elda's following her nose, that'll be in the direction of the desk.] Don't just barge in like you own the place, you brute! This is my room!
[Alas, no bodies, just a bunch of mixing bowls and jars filled with weird ingredients on top of the desk. The bowls are taken from the kitchen, along with a mortar and pestle Rin found there, which has a dusting of ground-up powder at its base. The odor, however, is coming from one of the larger bowls containing a wooden spoon. There's a blackish-purple residue sticking to its sides, and a drinking cup next to it that's otherwise empty, save for the same residue.]

[ Logical? That's why she intended to come in and close the door...? But seeing the other girl looking so annoyed Elda shoots back her own red eyed look, catlike through grit teeth. That's not all anger though it's mostly just how bad it smells in here. She's not really looking for the source (though she does smell where it's coming from), instead intending just to sit on the end of Rin's bed. ]

Rin makes a noise like ugh and massages at her the bridge of her nose, still steadying herself with the closed door. She's too tired and weak from pain for whatever Elda is after, even if she'll only admit it to herself. And furthermore...
What was that dream? Was it really a dream...?
Whatever it was, Elda's not going to give her any peace to process it, so the quickest way to get rid of her is to give her what she wants quickly. Rin simply doesn't have the means to kick her out. Wobbling away from the door back to the bed, she grumbles petulantly under her breath.]
I don't know what you were barking about; it smells fine in here.
[The bed dips just slightly as Rin climbs back into bed, sitting up but digging her feet under the covers and holding them around herself. Sit on the end all you like, Elda; it's cold and she's dizzy, so she's going to be over here.]

[ :T
Sh's going to kick her legs and like.
Man. ]
Did you die in a dream or something?
no subject
Dream corpses don't leave behind stench in reality, dummy.
[She has no idea what Elda could be getting at with that question besides that, it's so silly.]

[ Gesturing at... her... appearance. ]
no subject
This and that are unrelated. I'll be better soon, with rest.
[Hint, hint.]
no subject
[ . . . She either missed or ignored the point. ]
no subject
No, you can only treat its symptoms. Curing the common cold would be more miracle than magic.
[And again not related. There are no sniffles or coughing here; the only flu-like symptom Rin has is a fever. Actually, if she ever drops the pillow, she's holding herself more like someone would if they had a severe bone fracture in their arm. She kind of has to resist the urge to faceplant into the bed for fear of jostling it.]
Can your kind even get the flu?
no subject
[ More miracle than magic... so magic has limits? ]

[Rin closes her eyes as if centering herself, and waves a hand.] It was an obvious connection to make, even as I noticed inconsistencies with the genuine vampires of my world. We can file this away as Inconsistency #3.
no subject
Well, hoey. If yours are closer to those old stories, that's unfortunate.

[...well, True Ancestors are, but they're rare and have more to do with Tsukihime anyways. We get the scrub vampires in Fate who were bitten.]
no subject
[ . . . That's a lot more lame. She deflates. ]
no subject
[She says this with a little smirk though, like she doesn't find that a bad thing.]
no subject
You going to make it more clear what that even is that you said wizards are so different?
no subject
no subject
[ . . . Or maybe she said that?
... But yes, that's why she forced herself into a sick girl's smelly room. ]
no subject
What am I receiving in exchange for this information? You made a big deal about your secrets when you barged in uninvited.
