WEEK 3.
You all got to witness Yosuke Hanamura's death earlier this past week. You know what the punishment for breaking the rules is. With Chitoge Kirisaki and Blue's deaths, you're painfully aware of just how little trust this group really has. How long until someone kills again? What about that time limit the Coordinators imposed? Will there be another incentive? There are so many questions, but not a whole lot of answers. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... And when you wake up, you'll discover that a pattern seems to be emerging, at least as far as the building itself goes; a new floor is available to you, a stairwell across a short hallway from the one on the second floor having unlocked itself. There's not too much of a question about it as a result - at least, as far as what it means. It's definitely a reward. |

[OOC: Welcome to week three of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Coordinators, you can do so through private meetings with Alena!]

When Alex opens it up, it reads the following;]
"Sayaka Maizono has ruined the careers of 14 budding idols to keep her place in the idol industry."
[For her part, she waits. She's waiting for something--maybe disgust, maybe anger, maybe just having her bolt out of the room with the envelope and telling people she can't be trusted. But...well, she'll accept it.
She always has, after all.]
no subject
Alex walks over and sits next to Sayaka on the bed, the paper still in her hand. When she speaks, her voice is soft. ]
What happened? What...why'd it happen?
no subject
[Sayaka's calm when she speaks, but she isn't looking at Alex. She looks...ashamed, honestly.]
They weren't all at once, though, I can tell you that much. It's...more that these things happened over time--our business is naturally a very competitive place, with so many people coming in to try and make a name for themselves. In a perfect world, we'd all be able to share the top and all of the praise that comes with it.
It's not all sunshine, though. [...Sayaka's hand goes into some of her hair, wrapping it in her fingers.] The first time it happened, it was a smaller group than us that accused us of plagiarizing one of their songs, when as it turns out, it was the other way around. We didn't know what to do at the time, and they basically threatened to make it a scandal if we didn't do as they told us to. So...our managers told us to make a scene, and how to do it. A couple of us, we managed to plant cigarettes in their bags, and tipped off one of their teachers to it. Once that got the attention of the media, our managers brought to light their plagiarism, and they were forced to disband. Our managers praised us, after, telling us what a good job we did...
[Despite the tone she states that in, she...doesn't seem very happy about it.]
Idols are supposed to maintain a squeaky clean image to be good examples, after all. We can't smoke, we can't drink, we can't...well, do anything that would get rid of that sense of 'goodness' that we're supposed to have. We're to be friendly and kind...but due to the way the business works, if you want to get anywhere, you...have to accept that everyone around you is a rival. Even the people in your own group, if they want to pursue something on their own...you have to be willing to accept that.
You can't take your eyes off it for a second. The second you do, you can be left behind, forgotten, replaced, and erased. You have to keep going no matter what. That's...that's the way the world works.
no subject
For a few moments, she's quiet, trying to find words. ]
Jesus. It sounds...awful. How old were you? I mean, when you...when all this started?
no subject
[She's...not going to disagree with Alex, honestly. She's really just waiting for the vocal disapproval at this point.]
no subject
[ ... ]
For them to be pushing you to do something like that. [ There's...this small anger in her voice. ] That's- and they just praised you?! They didn't...after all that, they didn't think about how it'd screw with you?
no subject
...They got what they needed. Why...why would that matter...? We just...we followed what they said. If we didn't, that...that would've been us. We would've been done for.
[She grips her hair and yanks on it a bit.]
We would've been liabilities. They wouldn't want us, and we'd be let go...and...
It's...just the way the world works...isn't it...?
no subject
You're supposed to be the ones that matter, not them! And that BS phrasing- you being blamed for- for all that? You're the ones with the...the talent, they're the ones just pulling the damn strings!
[ ...oh she really is angry, isn't she? Alex tries to get Sayaka's attention, to look at her, something. ]
Sayaka, this is messed up, can't you see?
no subject
[This isn't going according to plan at all, holy shit? Holy shit. She yanks harder on her hair, averting her gaze even more.]
I-It's--it's still my fault. It's still my fault--t-those incidents after, even if--even if the second was the managers, it's...it's still...I still...I still did it, it just...you have to, to stay there, you have to, you have to--it's them or you, and if you don't then there's nothing left--
[Sayaka starts to tear up a bit.]
Why, why, why aren't you angry with me...?! I'm--I'm disgusting, for everything I did! I'm horrid! I didn't want this, but I still did it, and I'm disgusting!
no subject
[ Alex hands shoot to Sayaka's, to keep her from pulling on her hair anymore. ]
It's 'cause you're my friend, you big dummy! You're my friend, and your business is absolutely messed up! Why do you sing, 'cause you wanna ruin people's lives? No, it's to make people feel like they're not alone!
[ That's what she'd told her, that very first day. ]
It's like they gave you a gun and said- to pull the trigger on those girls or yourself, that doesn't make you disgusting for it!
1/2
[Oh, that's--that's not what she expected, and her eyes just go side with shock. She's...honestly struck as hell? Like...she was used to the fact that Elda was probably just. Weird as hell around her, but she expected anyone else, anyone else with morals to just...
...Discard her like the doll she was. The rotten, terrible doll she was.
She never wanted this. She just wanted to ease the loneliness from her home life and make people smile, make people happy, and maybe just...get that love that she missed from everywhere else, but...]
...Alex...
[What does she even do with this? She expected Alex to just...well, she honestly expected to be punched, or to get something about feeling betrayed, or something about how she's just like Blue, not...not any of this.]
2/2
She's still her friend. Elda told her, earlier, that she wasn't a doll, but Alex is...probably one of the first people to explicitly tell her that the business is messed up. Sayaka thought it too, when the glitter and glitz of the business rubbed off to reveal everything underneath, but...
That was the way of the world, wasn't it? Wasn't it?
Sayaka's trembling, and there's a few tears starting to trickle down, slowly. But when it rains, it pours, and Sayaka wasn't sure if she deserved those words--she'd probably never be sure, but knowing that Alex is still there for her, and she's standing up to all of that--]
I...I'm...I'm so sorry. I'm sorry, I'm sorry--
[What else can she say?]
I didn't...I thought...I thought you were gonna hate me...
no subject
She settles for holding her hands a little tighter. Offer a wavering smile. ]
Why the hell would I do that...? No, it's... No way. From something like this? No way.
[ (How could she, honestly... When she, what she's done, it's so much worse...?)
no subject
She doesn't understand it, but god, knowing she's not going to be alone here is...freeing, to say the least.]
...Thank you. I...I can't...
[...]
This...is what I meant, you know? That you do so much for me...and I don't...know if I deserve it, Alex. You're such a good person...
no subject
Don't... You don't have to say something like that, I'm not- ...I'm not the kind of person you think I am.
no subject
[They just got over this for her, didn't they? Sayaka gets Alex's grip off of one of her hands, just...gently putting it on her shoulder and trying to look at her.]
Then...I'm going to say that about you. You're my friend, Alex, and...I swear that won't change.
no subject
I- I've done- there's something I can't fully understand, but it's- Sayaka, it's really bad.
[ ...She's trembling. ]
no subject
[She doesn't have to tell her if she doesn't want to, but Sayaka isn't going to leave Alex alone. That's a promise. The girl extended that much of an offer to her, so it's the least she can do in kind, right?
...She'll let go of Alex and hold out her pinkie.]
no subject
Wordlessly, she places it on the bed between them. ]
no subject
no subject
"Alex has doomed a girl to nonexistence multiple times."
no subject
Of all the things she expected, that sure as hell wasn't one of them. Sayaka...puts it back in the envelope, then, and passes it back before just...
Kind of gripping onto one of Alex's hands.]
...You don't have to explain it, but it doesn't change anything.
no subject
[ Her voice is light and breathy. ]
I mean, I- I can, kind of, but- I-I don't want...to put the pieces together, I don't want to. [ Staring at the floor. ] I told you, I- I made a choice, in that dream, but- I-I- it happened again, and I made a different choice, and n- no one...
No one remembered her.
[ Again. Multiple times. Does that mean...? God, what has she done? ]
no subject
[God, what a mess this is. Sayaka's not sure she wants to know how such a thing can happen, but she shakes her head and tries to kind of...keep Alex tethered here.]
You don't have to explain it. You don't have to think about it. Don't--don't put yourself through that, Alex.
no subject
S- Sayaka... You really...even though I chose to let her be taken-
[ Don't think about it. Don't. She breathes out and slowly looks at Sayaka. ]
