WEEK 3.

WEEK 3 You all got to witness Yosuke Hanamura's death earlier this past week. You know what the punishment for breaking the rules is. With Chitoge Kirisaki and Blue's deaths, you're painfully aware of just how little trust this group really has. How long until someone kills again? What about that time limit the Coordinators imposed? Will there be another incentive? There are so many questions, but not a whole lot of answers. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... And when you wake up, you'll discover that a pattern seems to be emerging, at least as far as the building itself goes; a new floor is available to you, a stairwell across a short hallway from the one on the second floor having unlocked itself. There's not too much of a question about it as a result - at least, as far as what it means. It's definitely a reward. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 30

I'll take your word for it. [Rin speaks placidly today, crisply polite, but aloof.] Halure is your homeland, then?

[firstaid]

It's a city from my world. Usually it's the first place knights visit on a pilgrimmage, so it's famous for that as well as the giant tree that protects everyone. Everyone there is so friendly and well, once my journey is over, I'd like to live there.

[That's how fond she is of that city.]

[heritrix]

Wouldn't they have to build a new castle?

[firstaid]

Why would they have to? I would just live in a house. If I couldn't, then I would just stay at the inn.

[She's confused by this.]

[heritrix]

I'm just surprised that would be permitted, for a princess. But I guess when you're royalty, they allow you to do anything you want.

[She says this with a bit of a handwave, as if to say nevermind, she's letting the subject go.]

[firstaid]

Not quite-- I'm not allowed to do what I want, but at this point I'm learning to make my own choices and find the lifestyle I wish to live, not what the council wishes of me.

[The council and knights chased after her (and Yuri) for quite a bit when she left the castle...]

[heritrix]

They're still a thorn in your side, then?

[That's what she was getting at before, when she said she was surprised. If Estelle is able to settle in another city for that simple lifestyle, she assumed the council had to be out of the picture.]

[firstaid]

They probably will be until they pick an Emperor or until I return.

[Well, as long as she's a candidate to the throne, it's probably best she's not wandering around.]

[heritrix]

I see.

[Gently setting the crystal horse figure down, Rin reaches out to gather the petals back up in whatever capsule they came out in.]

You'll probably want this back, then. Pardon my clumsiness; the petals spilled every which way when I opened it to see what was inside.

[firstaid]

If you wanted it then I wouldn't mind if you kept it.

[Of course she wants it, but Rin was the one who got it so she has no right to take it away from her if she so wishes to keep it.]

[heritrix]

It's yours, isn't it? [While her diction itself isn't, Rin's tone is polite to a fault today.] The petals are pretty, but they don't hold the same meaning to me.

[firstaid]

I suppose in a sense it is.

[She holds out her hands to take it.]

I'll take it off of your hands then.

[heritrix]

[Well, there she has it then! Sans maybe one or two petals that got scattered and are under things. There's a lot of stuff here, and she should really put more of it away.]

I hope you see it again, someday.

[firstaid]

It do, too. It's a very special place to me.

[It's clear by that as Estelle holds the capsule in her hands wearing a gentle expression on her face.]

[heritrix]

[Stuffing a vinyl album into the mouth of a shark-shaped sleeping bag (...what a weird day), Rin's ministrations slow a bit, but... No, she doesn't want to ask.]

Have you received anything else belonging to you from this machine?

[firstaid]

I received my mother's memento.

[Which is the best thing she could have gotten, really. It's very special to her and she's glad to have it here.]

[heritrix]

The one you told me about?

[At speed dating.]

[firstaid]

[Estelle smiles that Rin remembers.]

Yes, that one.

[heritrix]

You spoke of it fondly. [She could tell how precious it was then.] I'm glad you got it back.

[This is the closest Rin's come to smiling throughout this conversation. It's brief, but genuinely touches her eyes.]
