It's time for an after party!
[About an hour after the trial and subsequent execution, Cabanela makes a decision.
They need to do something, keep the morale up, however little it may be.
Under each occupied room door people will find the following note written:
In difficult times such as this, it is important to carry on.
Don't give into despair; we must preservere.
If you don't want to be alone this evening, meet me in the dining hall.
-Cabanela
[Upon entering the dinning hall, you will find Cabanela sitting at one of the tables; he has lit two candles that are placed at the center of the table, but there's nothing else to note.
You'll have to supply your own food, since he doesn't have much of an appetite.]

First thing's first, though, is that she's going to the kitchen to make a cup of tea; one can bump into her in the process, since it'll take a while. She may not be too responsive, granted, but hey, it's better than being alone right now!
Otherwise? She's picking a spot near where the candles are, staring into them and simply going to sip her tea unless she's interacted with. She's...not up for being shounen and go-getting right now. Not after that.
Ken Kaneki did not deserve what happened to him.]

[Elise isn't looking at her, or anyone else, really.]
I can't believe somebody would actually do it. I'm sure you're vindicated now, but...
no subject
[Undyne isn't looking at her either, just right into her tea like it can tell some kind of future.
Maybe it could, all things considering, but she didn't care.]
He didn't deserve what happened to him--no matter what he was, or what he could have done, he didn't deserve that happening to him.

[...God, that really is a good question. One that...Undyne honestly doesn't have the answer to.]
...Maybe we can try to get people together to talk about things, though I don't know if that would work well--get people to be honest about things that are important to them to try and unite.
[Another sip. Really, that's just the best she can come up with at this point.]

[She sighs.]
I'm starting to wonder who the real monsters are, at this point.

But as she moves in the room occasionally, too drained to go back to her room but too restless to stay in one place, she decides to sit next to Undyne. If Hibiki feels all alone, than she must feel even more alone, right? What happened today was awful and she's still processing it, but.
Maybe sitting next to someone she's still a little afraid of will help both of them.]
Hey.
no subject
She's a little surprised, but she reacts pretty well, giving Hibiki a small smile.]
Hey. Are you doing a little better than earlier..?
[She was a little preoccupied with just how horrifying things got, earlier, but she wanted to make sure. It's better than just leaving it at that, right?]
no subject
[She laughs, but it's more of a nervous chuckle than anything, a sound to distract from how embarrassed she is.]
Mm. I'm a little better. What about you? Is that something...you're some kinda Guard, right? Do you...do that a lot?
[Watch people get killed. That's not too weird to ask, is it? Except Hibiki already kind of regrets asking.]

[She seems to have had a far better life, Undyne would wager. She must not have had to experience those things--she shouldn't have had to. She definitely seems like she hasn't done anything to deserve this place.
...Her question, however, causes Undyne to freeze up right then and there. That's...definitely something she wasn't expecting to be asked. Especially not here, of all places. She doesn't actually respond for a minute or so, taking at least half of that to even herself out and take a sip of tea before giving an answer.]
Not too often, but...yes. I'm glad to hear you're doing better, though. You don't seem like the type of person who's dealt with that before.
[There's definitely a fair bit left unsaid with that simple response, but she's trying to get the subject away from that by any means necessary.]

[Hibiki pouts a little. She might be angry at Reaver, but she's doing her best to keep her focus on the real reason they're all here—the Conductor. That's who she's angry at, he's the one forcing all of them to do this.
It's all his fault, even if Reaver made it worse.]
I've never really dealt with anything like it. I'm just an idol. I dance and I sing, I don't...solve murders unless it's for a show. I really miss goin' to work and seeing everyone.
no subject
I thought maybe we could all get out of here alive. Maybe I was just being naïve.
How are you holding up?
no subject
Still, she just kind of chuckles--it's a little hollow.] Fuhuhu...I'm holding, that's for sure. We can't be blamed for having a little hope, can we? I thought we might have had a chance.
[She takes another sip of tea and goes back to a more neutral expression.] What about you? You were on fire in that trial--I'm sure if you weren't around, we would have made the wrong choice.
no subject
[Maybe. He's not nearly as confident about this as he was just yesterday.
He manage a smile, though it's rather forced.]
I did what I could to help; I wasn't about to let Kaneki's killer get away with it.
[It's lucky that he had been right, if he hadn't been, well... it would have been ugly.]
no subject
Still, she gives him a tired smile in kind.]
You still nailed him to the wall with everything, though--it's the best anyone could've asked for in this situation.
I'm sure Kaneki's vindicated, wherever he is now. [She swishes the tea in her cup and shakes her head.] I wish I got to know him more.
no subject
Well. All he can hope is that there's no such thing as ghosts, vengeful or otherwise.]
I didn't speak with him much. It's a shame, now.
Spending an entire week unable to eat, he was probably worried he was going to attack someone at some point.
no subject
And as far as she's concerned, people like him should be rotting in hell.]
...Do you think if he asked, anyone would've tried to help him out?
[Undyne knows it likely sounds absurd, but...she wants to believe that this could've easily been solved had Reaver been. You know. Not Reaver.]

she spots Undyne, and, after a moment, she wanders over with her own teacup.]
...Hi.

She'd love to believe that today was some weird nightmare, though. That...would be the best sort of thing to wake up from.
Still, Undyne turns and nods her head to Rakka.]
Hey. Some day it's been today, huh?
no subject
...Mm hmm. Not a very good one, either.

[Everyone seemed affected, one way or another. It's a giant ripple effect in the end; one person's actions have broken the trust of the entire establishment.
...It's a wonder they're even in here at all, and yet...]
I don't think anyone was prepared for that, honestly.

She moved into a seat and leaned forward, resting her arms on the table. The warmth of her tea was spreading to her hands; a soothing sensation, if a fading one.]
...We're really stuck here.
no subject
...But now...]
He can't keep us here forever. We have to keep believing that, if nothing else.
