WEEK 6.

WEEK 6 You've lost a lot of people this week, haven't you? Katniss Everdeen and Weiss Schnee were killed for rule violations, while Chie Hori and Frank Archer were murdered by Mikoto Suoh and Yuuki Terumi. It doesn't really matter how they died, though, does it? After all, they're dead now and the only thing you can do is keep moving forward. It seems like there's no end in sight. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Changes were promised to you this week; while Sunday dawns seeming no different from the previous weeks, it seems one change is going to remain a constant - namely, a new floor has been opened up to you. Whether this is a promising sign or not is something that you're going to need to decide for yourself. The important thing, for now, is that you continue to do well. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 19

[It's a lie. It's such a lie, but she's gotten so good at lies over the years that she doesn't even seem to twitch, or give a tell.]

I...realized it sooner, though. When I got the memory of that motive, when...Kimblee-san was still here. Those thoughts poked at my head, even then...that's when I knew, but I...still wanted to try to be happy, you know...? Because...I'm still here, and have a purpose...

[The idea isn't objectionable, really, except that they'd get killed without accomplishing anything.]

[ Her concentration here probably looks a little bit comical, here with her long nails just... hand mixing this. But at the same time she's... still not quite smiling, but she does seem pleased.

It's an effort, to be sure, but this is a world she wants to at least try to understand. So she'll keep it up, pouring in the water and such - should have worn an apron. ]

He never has seemed to care much about her. And, to be fair, you can't really tell if she cares about him, either. I don't know if people like that can really have friends.

[...She is actually gonna cheer a bit, and bounce in her spot, but also try not to be too hands on? She just wants to keep an eye on Elda, maybe help her if she's struggling, but...Elda seems to have a good direction already?

Maybe that's why they bothered to let us have it at all. But she sort of seems like she'd be more...enthusiastic about killing us than Alena was. I never cared much for Alena, but at least you couldn't say she...

[Now what is she trying to say? She's not even entirely sure, in the wake of Alena's death, how she ultimately feels about the girl.]

...if the roles were reversed, I don't know that she would have killed Hilda.

[ Well she's following directions, at least. Getting called out like this? It makes her smile a little, getting into a confident smirk as she sets to work showing it who's boss! She's probably got this! !!

[...Sayaka averts her gaze at that. It's...entirely because of Alena, but Susan doesn't need to know that she went soft on one of their Coordinators.

...She still would've done it, but...she definitely wouldn't have been happy about it. She wouldn't have been as cruel as that girl, too. Alena-san wasn't the best person, but...I don't think we're going to like what that girl can do.

[ She attempts to dig the knife in deeper, wiggling it down. ]

My people were killed in the name of the God of my homeland. Is it better to have that been noting?

She didn't have to. She didn't have to have any sympathy toward the situation, and...yet...

That's--that's why I hate that other girl so much, you know? She couldn't...she's her sister, and she couldn't let her go out with some shred of dignity.

Okay! Now, we need to split the dough and roll it into balls...you can usually make them as small or big as you want to, but they should be able to fit on a stick. I usually go for about...nine per batch, so they'll be the perfect size. They don't have to be perfect, though.

[Split it into nine chunks, basically--Sayaka makes motions with her hands, kind of like cutting a pizza? So Elda can get the idea to cut the dough like that.]

Does it really matter how she would have felt if she would have done it anyway?

[Susan felt...bad, maybe? She'd been willing to offer a little tiny bit of doubt after seeing how Alena reacted to Weiss's death, and how she'd comforted Tabby instead of killing her right away. Frankly, that last isn't what Susan would have done, but the fact that it was in defiance of Jericho's commands puts a little more shine on it.

But feelings are meaningless if they aren't matched with action.]

But you're right, she would have been less of an ass about it. I guess that's worth a little something.

Oh, right. I mean... yeah, that's a hard question. Either a God who doesn't care or just... the ignorance and hatred of humanity.

[ That's a strange qualifier. Elda ... doesn't understand it at all. Why one would want that connection, why one would need that connection? It's something she can't even begin to understand, to will that into existence out of your enemy. But then, the situation is a little bit more complex than that, isn't it? To be validated by that...?

She hums, continuing to drum her fingers.

To feel jealousy under the circumstances is a little bit... tacky. ]

[It's clearly meant to be a bit of an acquiescing statement, but it's kind of rushed and forced out, like she doesn't agree with it. Sayaka's quick to move on, though.]

...I should probably start cleaning these up, if they're all trainwrecks. But...is there anything I could try to mix up for you? I can actually do that if given the instructions. I should make up for all of that horrible stuff...

Hey, have you gotten anything to drink yet?

Like the Greek gods. I think religions used to be more like that in general, but I don't know enough about them to guess when it changed. People find it easier to hide all their bullshit under the mantle of one god anyway. He's perfect, so obviously whatever they say is true.

...I didn't realize Terumi was a figure people had actually heard of.

[Susan, if she noticed, doesn't say anything about it. Just picks up a couple of the glasses to pour them out herself. She can help clean up a bit.]

This really probably isn't the best thing to do every time something happens. Even if staying sharp doesn't seem to matter much, outside of Thursday nights.

[ She hesitates for a moment. ]

[Oh! That...actually gets Sayaka to smile a bit--she'll grab some glasses too.]

Once these are taken care of, I'll pour some a glass for you and make sure you get back to your room, if you'd like.

I know. I don't...think I'll make a habit of it, during the week. I probably shouldn't make a habit of it after trials either, but... [She shrugs.] ...Just as long as people don't get too careless, it'll be fine, I think.
