Week 7.

WEEK 7 Orihime Inoue, Estellise Sidos Heurassein, and Kirei Kotomine all died this past week. One of your Coordinators died as well, leaving you with a new face but still no end to this. Several of you are finding yourselves at a crossroads: either keep moving forward, or accept the inevitability of fate. It's your own choice, your own decision; no one's going to make it for you. Over half of you are gone now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, a new floor has been opened to you; unfortunately, either this is a particularly strange reward or Jericho is starting to get downright sarcastic. Perhaps there's something in it for you despite the setup; who knows, though there's really only one way to find out. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 16

...The most I've done in the past is blue with pink, so I'll take your word for it, there. It...just looks really nice.

Oh. A parlor trick, is it?

[He'll humor Elda, though. He reaches down and picks up a few cards. Assuming that they are everyday playing cards, he ends up with a 9 of Hearts, a Jack of Clubs, and a 4 of Spades.]

Do you want more than three, or will this suffice?

Surely I've told you about Blood Affinities before? The emotions that taste best to us?

[ It's always been that way for him--though Yuri's hardly thought about it. He does notice the look, but he doesn't make a comment on it.

Soon, he's being handed a bouquet of the flowers, and he's taking them. A smile of sorts easily comes across his face again as he holds them securely. ]

...Yeah, it is a pretty interesting coincidence. Let's get going.

[ With that said, they presumably make their way over to Yuri's door. Dobedobedo...and here they are! Yuri fiddles with the key, almost dropping it because of butterfingers, and then he gets it in, before opening up his room successfully.

It is immediately obvious where his stuff has been placed because -- some of it's all along one of the walls and also the desk. Things like the Mysterious Bead and the Blue Orb have been placed on said desk for reference. ]

And here we are. My stuff's over wherever, with some of it on the desk.

[ Yuri has the audacity to dip the brush into the paint, and then begins to raise said brush up close to the wall. He stops, still looking at Luca while he does this thing. Somehow. ]

...I think you did, but you never went into your grandchildren's...

[Mom she has Concerns, is she gonna be a snack for the whole family--]

[Rin draws a card herself, the Jack of Clubs.]

Ugh. And we're getting paid jack.

[Oh hey Luca. ...yeah, he has no idea what to even do with that thing.]

Believe me, I have wondered about it myself. Have they been in there the entire time, or is the machine restocked semi-regularly...?

Oh, okay, I'll spell it out more clearly then:

Mine's that tired, middle aged feeling that a man like Tarrlok has.
James used to be attracted to youth - so those feelings you have with Alex.
Henry's is pride, so he'd have a field day with Rin.
Calera's attracted to liars, so... well, I mean, a lot of people. Kirei?
Then Ren's is stress, so he'd just have an attraction to everyone here.
Anju's only recently awakened, but hers is loneliness.
And then finally... well, I've spelled it out before Karin's hardly a normal vampire as she doesn't take blood or extract emotion, but she still has one that makes her blood surge to go into someone: Misfortune.

[Rin's counting on that, tbh. She wishes she could be around when Sayaka sees the red ribbon in Alex's hair and gets the joke, that would make her day. MAYBE SHE'LL BUG ALEX LATER.]

Sorry, did I take my teasing too far?

[Rin waves a hand as if to say "let's just move past that then".]

I'm really glad you like it. I wanted to do a good job, as a thank you for humoring me, but it came out better than I expected. You look really pretty, and I'm happy you think so too.

I would hope it is just restocked, otherwise those flowers would be wilting.

Well, at most they might need to get some rest. But if they do manage to do any of that, it's probably not for very long, since people seem to be able to even drop by the office pretty late.

[ Going by a certain week's, uh. Fiasco anyway. ]

...That's certainly interesting to know. I just hope not too much of a stir is caused...

[ Elda bursts out laughing at that, flipping over her next card but not showing it to Rin. ]

Where do you think she's bound to?

Basil and Bartlebee, what a pair! But okay, so we've got the tall one and the stout hearted small one, so... what's their quest? I'm thinking something with thievery.

I mean...I'll be meeting them, won't I? I just don't want to cause a stir and...uh...

[google, how is there a polite way to say "i'm worried your family is going to bleed me dry"]

[ She's... actually mildly surprised the girl spoke. But. ]

Oh, not a one will harm you, if that's your concern. I'll break Ren's arms first if he so much as flirts in your direction.

[ ... You know the funny thing about Yuri and opening his big damn mouth? It seems to be a reoccurring element that happens and ends with him thinking it bit him in the ass somehow, because that is certainly what is happening right now!!

The grabbing of the wrist is successful, but Yuri is also going to try to see about trying to give a low kick at one of Rideaux's leg in an attempt to make him let go. You know, because he's trying to avoid whatever Rideaux has in store for him...which probably might be another go at throwing him into the mats, isn't it. ]

[ Scientist... she considers and then holds out the Scope to him. ]

You can wear it in this room. It's also a momento of Ditty's departed master.

[ Shit, when he picks cards like that she can't clearly see the backs of all of them, as is the nature of it. But she nods either way, motioning for him to hold them out. She saw the first two and... based on the marks on them?

(for this is a normal playing card deck! It's actually the old ratty one from the machine, marked up and scuffed in numerous places. She's realized that the marks and scuffs and folded corners actually are a way to count the deck.) ]

That first one's the nine of heats, to be sure.

Ah...it is nothing. But I will take care of these, thank you.

[He actually is taking good care of them too, he's not really a careless person anyway but he's being extra-cautious with them right now.]

[ Um sorry Luca no one can stop Yuri when he's decided to make a go for something he is like a force of nature.

Case in point as Yuri paints one very long line, slowly down the wall, looking at Luca the whole entire time. ]
