Week 7.

WEEK 7 Orihime Inoue, Estellise Sidos Heurassein, and Kirei Kotomine all died this past week. One of your Coordinators died as well, leaving you with a new face but still no end to this. Several of you are finding yourselves at a crossroads: either keep moving forward, or accept the inevitability of fate. It's your own choice, your own decision; no one's going to make it for you. Over half of you are gone now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, a new floor has been opened to you; unfortunately, either this is a particularly strange reward or Jericho is starting to get downright sarcastic. Perhaps there's something in it for you despite the setup; who knows, though there's really only one way to find out. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 16

[Sometime shortly after noon today, Jericho's voice can be heard once more over the public-address system; perhaps it's a good sign that he hasn't been heard from until now, as hearing from him anytime before Tuesday is never really an indication that the week is going to go well.

On the other hand, hearing from him on Tuesdays never really bodes well, either.]

Hey, guys! As always, foyer in ten - I've got something else to discuss with you.

[As usual, it doesn't especially matter whether you go or not; he can still be heard regardless of where you are in the building, and the foyer is empty for those who do show up - no envelopes or demonstrations for anyone today, it seems.]

You guys have been doing great so far - after all, you're three out of four on those people that I've mentioned, and I see you've found one of our pets. Try not to break it, yeah? It's not like it did anything to you. Playing with it's fine, though.

But anyway, while you're all being precious down there, I've noticed you've got a few other things that you happen to like - or, well, people that you happen to like is probably more accurate, but who's counting? So I'll be brief and let you get back to building up your little relationships with each other, because who the hell knows?

Maybe that'll end up saving your ass if someone pulls off Rule Seven.

The offer I've got for you today is a sort of two-for-one deal - get out of this place alive and I'll let you bring someone with you. Anyone else from this exercise is fair game - living or dead. You've seen that we have the power to do that last one, after all; we'll let you use that power just once, if it's what you want.

You guys are still operating under the timer too, don't forget that; it's pretty likely somebody's going to die this week. So if nothing else, I'd suggest kissing ass if you want a better chance at getting out alive - if somebody snaps, you want to be the one that goes with them, right?

[ Huh. As compared to all the other ones, this one's positive reinforcement, not as much of a threat, makes sense, would be really convenient...

Elda's shoulders actually sag a little bit as she hears this out some tension she didn't know she had releasing, and she nods to herself before heading on out, looking thoughtful more than anything. Huh.

... This is going to one hell of a trial. (anyone can like... tap on her shoulder if they want) ]

[Wow. Kyrie knows enough about reading the people around after all these weeks, she's aware there are several bonds this motive could take advantage of. She doesn't have anyone she would put herself at risk for, but...everyone else?

[...You know. For all of Sayaka's talk and general dislike of everything Jericho and Hilda have decided to be, this...actually manages to give her a significant pause. God, that's...it's a horrible thing, that one could save another person's life while sacrificing everyone else. It's...

Sayaka hates that she's actually having to think, rather than just denouncing the motive as it is.

[ Yuri's listening, and unsurprisingly he rolls his eyes. Nothing has changed in regards of his opinion of Jericho, nor would it ever.

Whatever, when he's done he's off. ]

Unlike last week though, Luca doesn't show much of a reaction beyond being unimpressed. He listens to what Jericho has to say, and then he just leaves.]

[Hm. She's glad this incentive wasn't offered at an earlier time. It might have given her some trouble. If it weren't for one thing, she'd say anyone who takes it now is an asshole, but as always...]

As always, it comes down to that damn timer.

[There's only 16 of them left now. The chances are a lot higher than they used to be for any of them to be randomly selected. Guaranteeing one person's safety as well as your own seems like a pretty sweet deal when compared to that. It's like Jericho had certain people in mind too, actually, tacking on that even the dead are viable.

Rin calmly watches everyone's reactions in the room, hanging out for a little longer before leaving.]

MEETING

[welp. he's still having some misgivings about his role as leader here, but... you know. Meetings. He can do meetings. Notices go up in the same places, then.]

Meeting in the conference room at 6:00 p.m. Bring food if you wish.

[and he'll be there at the appointed time, obviously! He's not doing too bad, at least.]

So, I know we've met our new friend in the new library, but is there anything else of note that people have uncovered?

[ You know, she had been holding this back for the meeting and all but now... huh, the mood's a little different so it takes her a minute for the big reveal, playing with Ditty on the table.

[--WAIT, WHAT. Hi, Elda, Sayaka practically jolts a bit at that.]

What? How--who are they? Are they anyone we can recognize?

[For a moment Kyrie says nothing. This is...unexpected. Ghosts? In this place? What other crazy stuff is going to exist here? Is there no limit?]

Were they trying to get in contact with you?

...oh. Ghosts now? That's... that's fantastic. I'm so glad this keeps happening.

[ So here he is with his feet up on the table and legs crossed as he leans back in his chair. ]

So if this hadn't been mentioned before, the reason why Jericho hides away like a loser all the time is because he's been attacked before in the past--like Alenas has. So that's why he has more of an obervatory role now. You know, because he can't handle doing otherwise.

[ This is totally not an excuse to drag Jericho at all. Nope.

Okay maybe it is a little. ]

[...So, today can quite frankly go to hell, all things considered.

Sayaka didn't really speak up too much at the motive today, though if the smile on her face is any indication, she's probably not thinking about it too much. Totally not. Her expression isn't quite the genuine warmth that she usually manages now, but her smile is...far more trained, honestly. Like the sort of smiles that she gave during the first week.

Never the less, she's not trying to hide herself this time; she's going to be hanging around the Bar until the meeting, and she's got her notes out again. Her array (which is a little better than this because I have no artistic skill to speak of) seems to finally be coming together, even if Sayaka seems to have added the hexagon in recently. And she's. Not entirely sure it's supposed to be like this, but she's memorizing it? It's a distraction, just kind of drawing the same thing over and over again.

After the meeting, though...Sayaka's gonna be in the Dojo, promptly kicking in some mats like they've managed to wrong her in some way? She's much more jittery, here--she doesn't figure anyone's going to come in, so she can just kick until her legs get tired. One might find her sitting off to the side when that happens, just...breathing and trying her best to calm down.

Much later, though, well into night time? One can find her in the infirmary, digging through the pills to find something. She's got a few different things out already, mostly stuff that seems like it'll be good for sleep, and she...honestly looks both tired and entirely too jittery, just reading the labels to make sure she doesn't. You know. Knock herself out by accident.]

Oh - Sayaka. [Susan relaxes; she trusts that Sayaka's not going to try to poison someone, and is also sensible enough to not overdose like an idiot.] I'm glad I ran into you. I've been trying to keep a closer eye on those, after everything.

Oh, I didn't know you were doing this sort of strength training!

[ If Elda has a care in the world despite what uh, today is like, it's not showing on her face. But then, between the meeting and her reaction at the incentive she very, very clearly does. Still, she's got a pleasant enough smile on her face as she pops her head into the room. ]

After the incentive's been thrown out there, Aligula can be found in the kitchen; there's batter and stuff, she's obviously making more cake (or a multi-tier cake?), but while she's waiting for things to bake, she's making... crossword puzzles. Come by for a good time!! You'll probably be able to solve them.

Once everything's baked up, it'll be going to the dining room. There's no big party or anything, but she is writing a note and setting it by the cake!! And having a slice or two of it for herself, which she'll be enjoying by the door. It's four tiers, a little uneven, and covered in whipped cream frosting because that's her favorite. Incidentally, it's also strawberry-flavored because that's her favorite. Guess what else is her favorite and also on it? That's right, pretty swirls and a bunch of cut fruit.

...How reassuring, Aligula? Only here she'd ever have to make sure people know stuff isn't poisoned, jeez. After the meeting, she can be found wandering around—sort of just poking her head into rooms and sizing things up, humming softly. Framing it with her fingers like she's a photographer or something like that. If you're in one, she'll give a wave and then... another wave, a shoo-shoo sort of motion. ]

If you're not gonna act like you're at a party, then you can sit down somewhere out of sight, okay?

[ you didn't even ask if they'd act like they were at a party oh my god aligula— okay, given the fact it's incentive day, she's sort of assuming people aren't gonna be in the mood. ]

[...You know, at this point in the day sign her the hell up for some goddamn cake. She doesn't care if it's not her birthday. She will have a very merry unbirthday as far as she's concerned.

Hope you don't mind some company, Aligula, because Sayaka will take a seat nearby, smiling just a bit.]

You've really outdone yourself, Aligula. I have to wonder if there's any sweet that you simply can't make!
