Week 8.

WEEK 8 Regardless of what you think of the most recent deaths, four more people have died this week. Milla Maxwell, Angel, Susan Ashworth, and Aligula are gone now, leaving you with about a quarter of your original number. Thirty-five down to twelve - this can't keep going for much longer, can it? Is there anything you can do? Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Unlike the previous weeks, however, it seems that either you've reached the end of the line or Jericho has decided to stop rewarding you for your effort; where there would usually be a stairwell to a new floor, you're met with nothing but solid wall. Perhaps it's distressing; perhaps it's a good sign. Only time will tell, and time isn't something you have a lot of around here. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 12

I’ll have to try. There is much more at stake here than how I feel.

This and that. Queen? Her sister, her job... I'm not sure I particularly like her all that much if I'm honest.

[She looks down for a moment, takes a breath, than looks back to Alex.]

But in any circumstance, it’s selfish to see people suffering and not do anything to help them. That’s what will continue to happen if I don’t assume leadership.

... Eesh, they're actually well known, aren't they?

[Snerk. Between giggles, Rin tries to deepen her voice to more closely resemble a man's.]

I get the vibe that's about where Hilda's at with them. [ She shrugs again, glancing around the library ] Her sister loved them, though.

[ And now it's time to grab Rin by her shoulders and shake. ]

[asdfghj, okay that was fun, but after some shaking Rin (still smiling) is going to motion for Alex to take it easy.]

Ahh, hold on, hold on... [Snicker. Ohhh, it would probably help if she caught her breath.] Dizzy.

[ Fine. Fine! She won't abuse the poor drunk mage, hmph! Alex stops but...doesn't take her hands off Rin's shoulders, mostly to try and steady her. ]

That's what you get. [ Hmph!! ] How much did you even drink?

...Oh. [ Back at the uncomfortable subject!! ] What'd... What's she say about her? Alena.

Honestly, not all that much. She's understandably close to the chest about her.

[ Though something is clear from Elda's wording and tone - it's actually, albeit hesitantly, sympathetic. ]

[ Yuri turns to look over at the man beside him for a moment and then back in front of him, placing his hands casually behind the back of his head. ]

What can I say? I'm a man of many surprises.

It's good to hear that what I did has helped out, though.

If it wasn't for all the murder and psychological trauma, it'd be a great way to meet people.

Well, I figured that much. [She doesn't sound sarcastic when she says it, though.

She'll listen while he speaks, though--it makes enough sense in her head, at least, and it's probably why she likes drinking with Luca and Alex. They at least can probably keep her limits in mind--everyone else could too, though, couldn't they? Maybe it'd be nice to drink with everyone else...]

I understand that much. If I can be honest, I doubt it's something I'd be maintaining as much as I do here, when we go our separate ways, but...I have to admit, it's nice to rebel a bit.
