Week 9.

WEEK 9

With another death to the timer and another double murder - accidental though that last part may have been - your numbers have been cut even further. Hibiki Ganaha, Sayaka Maizono, Alex, and Kyrie Ushiromiya are all dead, bringing those left alive from twelve down to eight. It's almost hard to believe this started with thirty-five people.

There are so few of you now.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

It seems that the pattern from last week is holding; there is no new floor to occupy yourselves with. It doesn't seem much else has changed, either - leading to questions that are uncomfortable but must be confronted. Namely, where do you go from here?

Is there anything you can do?

PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 8

[OOC: Welcome to week nine of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Coordinators, you can do so through private meetings with Hilda!]

[It gets Rideaux to chuckle, at least. He turns back to finish up with the curtains.]

As entertaining as I am sure it would be, I'd rather not have a party in my room that involves setting things on fire.

[That's not necessarily a "no" on the pinata idea at least. Too bad they don't have the illustrated interpretations anymore.

Party ideas aside...]

Yuri, do you mind if we talk for a bit?

[It's good timing that Yuri stopped by, honestly. After their exchange in the new room, Rideaux has found himself thinking again. There is probably no better time than now to voice those thoughts.]

new room!

[Luca has been spending quite a bit of time up there as well. Mostly because it's a change of view, and Luca is all too happy to have something new to look at.

So it's not too surprising to him when he goes up there and sees someone else. And since it's Elda, he'll try to talk to her.
]

Still the same view?

...I see. I'll bring it to you, then.

[It's really not like he's going to say anything regardless.]

....If you need anything else, before I go....

I get the feeling that it was not a baking competition.

[Yuri why are you like this?]

Given that we have been gradually receiving memories each week, I would not be surprised if we had experienced other games and had our memories of such events erased.

But the question is, why? If we are here and alive, then that means we much have survived other games. Isn't a condition of winning that we get to leave?

[Unless those games ended in some other way besides 'winning', maybe.]

[personal profile] perpend 2017-11-12 05:14 am (UTC)(link)
Jericho has been taunting us for weeks about other games, about titles being reused...

If we all survived our previous games, that doesn't help clear up the mystery. Unless the intention all along has been to ensure there aren't any survivors.
perpend: (☂ on that famous thoroughfare)

[personal profile] perpend 2017-11-12 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
That's exactly it. We can't allow Jericho to defeat us, not now. Not when we have so few of our original number.

It is. The night sky never seems to shift to day.

[ I had to ask Dal about that Which, you know, awesome? She says this with a small grin, pushing off from the window. ]

[personal profile] notaccurate 2017-11-12 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
Mmm, that could be the case. Though from the sounds of it, at least a few people here in this game have been killed before?

[Archer comes to mind, after reading that file. But that might also mean that some of the people here also did not survive their rounds too, maybe?]

I wonder if we could get any information out of Hilda about it.
notaccurate: (05)

[personal profile] notaccurate 2017-11-12 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
Mmm, that certainly seems strange. I wonder how anything can grow here if there is no sunlight.

[Then again, maybe they are just in a dark spot on this planet, and food is grown elsewhere. Or he's just overthinking things again.

But if Elda is moving back from the window, Luca will walk over to look out it again, spending a few moments just looking at the city.
]

I wonder if the people there even know about this place. We're so close, but it seems so far away at the same time.

I'm not sure, but there is some part of me that thinks that they perhaps do.

[ she says, getting over to the pool table and picking up one of the cues, giving it a little poke and making sure she's got it weighted right. ]

[personal profile] notaccurate 2017-11-12 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
Perhaps that is where Jericho and Hilda come from. A home of sorts, for the people involved in games like these.

[Which is a scary thought, because it might mean that the people there won't help them.

Luca looks away from the window, and to Elda instead.
]

Do you want to play a game?

[Luca has been scarce for most of the week, opting to pass the time by himself and do some personal soul-searching (outside of the little investigation to find the new room, of course). His talk with Alex from over a week ago is heavy on his mind, and he still doesn't really have an answer for it. Where will he go when this is done? His world is gone, if Jericho is to be believed, and the only tie he has left to his old life needs to be rescued too. But once that is handled, where will he and his son go? And, more importantly, who will he go with?

Days pass, and Luca still doesn't have an answer. And the 'if they even get out' is weighing even more heavily on his mind now too.

When Friday passes with no death and no trial, Luca starts to come out again. But Saturday is probably the day he is really seen, as he spends a good part of that day in the new room, watching for changes. A rising sun, changing lights in the city, anything. Eventually he grows bored with watching, though, and makes his way down to the lower floors to take care of other business.

At some point he will be in the infirmary to change the bandages on his arm, and the kitchen to try and make himself some food. But besides that, a good part of the evening is spent in the art room, where he is practicing writing and sketching with his left hand. It's nowhere near as neat and nice as his right-handed work is, but he's trying. And it's actually readable!

I wouldn't mind, but if you're as roguish as you can sometimes seem I won't be a good challenge.

It's possible, but I have a feeling she'd tell us something along the lines of "figure it out for yourself."
notaccurate: (13)

I just want to say that I googled this and this is actually what they called 'pool sharks' back then

[personal profile] notaccurate 2017-11-12 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
What do you take me for, a hustler?

[He is also teasing, but mostly the teasing is because he absolutely is a pool shark/card shark but he won't do that to Elda. Because das rood]

Almost certainly, by appearance! But then, you're also one of the most moralizing men I've ever met, so who knows.

[ She nods all the same. Let's play, she'll even start to set up the balls. ]
notaccurate: (67)

[personal profile] notaccurate 2017-11-12 06:21 am (UTC)(link)
[He is going to go ahead and pick up a pool stick then.]

Ah. I suppose that is true, I have been pretty moralizing here.

But- since we are such good friends and all- would you like to know a secret?

[personal profile] notaccurate 2017-11-12 06:26 am (UTC)(link)
Most of the moralizing was to set a good example for the teenagers here. After a while, it just sort of stuck.

How should I know. At least you have some years on you. She wasn't too far removed from a child herself, if she was going to call the likes of Blue a girl.

[ It's what always pissed her off about Fern. ]
