[Throughout the day on Monday, everyone still left in the building will find a handwritten invitation delivered to them at some point or another, along with a bonus sheet of paper.

Hey, everyone. It's been quiet around here lately, so let's keep our spirits up and have some fun! The sun might not be shining, but we still have a great view of the stars, and somewhere warm to watch them from. Food and drink will be provided, so just bring yourself (and your bingo sheet!), and we'll enjoy each other's company.

There aren't any decorations upstairs, but there will be food and drink as promised, and lots of variety. Curry, soup and sandwiches, parfaits, homemade potato chips, a cheese plate; Rin went all out. For sweets, there's chocolate chip cookies and a lemon meringue pie, with milk or juice (that looks like it was made from scratch) to wash it down with. Alcohol too, if that's your thing. There's even a bloody mary for Elda, somehow.

As you might guess from the invitation, the bonus piece of paper delivered with the invites is a blank bingo sheet! Whether it's when the invites are delivered or when they come to the party, Rin will give everyone instructions on how to fill it out, and how the game is played.

HUMAN GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER BINGO

1. Fill out the sheet with 24 simple facts about yourself! They should be anything you're comfortable sharing with others, and most importantly they must be true
2. Share sheets with one another! If you have something in common with what's on another person's sheet, you can sign off on that square.
3. Players may sign up to two squares on one another's sheets, but only two! Normally you'd only collect a single signature, but this is a small group.
4. When one row has five signatures horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, that's a BINGO!
5. Whoever has the most BINGOs at the end of the night wins!

That should about cover it. But yeah, it's a game designed for the group to maybe get to know each other a little better. Discussion is encouraged, not just for what you have in common, but what you don't! What's most important is everyone have fun.]

[This is the sort of icebreaker that Rideaux can get behind, honestly. He does like learning things about people, but it was just kind of awkward when framed in a speed-dating theme. And even after two months, he feels like he can still learn a lot from those who are also still here.

It doesn't take him too long to get himself settled into a spot. He's got a sandwich and some potato chips, along with a drink. And oh, his card is here too of course! Written in red, because of course it is. He did his best to print clearly (he's not the cleanest writer, stereotypical of a doctor).]

This should be good. I do wonder what we'll end up having as matches.

[Oooh, color her interested. Looking over the page, Rin signs on "has an inherited ability" almost right away and looks back up at Rideaux.]

Okay, if you were comfortable enough writing it down, I have to hear about this one.

[Rideaux's own ability is still a sore spot, but it's something he doesn't mind discussing on the base level. He's also very intrigued to find out that Rin is able to sign off on it!]

[He figures Rin won't have an issue with it, so he goes on.]

It is called the Chromatus. It's what allows me to traverse dimensions. That is why I asked if the person you painted had a similar ability. I am obviously very familiar with it.

You can just do that innately? Since it was connected to your job, I thought all this time it must have been something achieved by a group who studied the process!

[Rin looks a mix of excited and flabbergasted here, honestly, like Rideaux just casually said he could turn water into wine. Maybe that's not the best comparison, tbh; Rin would find that to be a mere parlor trick in comparison.]

[He's not exactly surprised by Rin's reaction. It's pretty out there even for his own world, which is why it was always so top secret.]

Yeah, it's something that I was born with. Most agents in Dimensional Affairs have it as well. It's obviously necessary for the central part of the job.

In my world, it would be considered a miracle. Travel between dimensions isn't something any mage can produce, but falls under the banner of True Magic.

The Second Magic, to be precise, which is definitely in my wheelhouse of interests. The man who introduced magecraft to my family all those centuries ago is the only known wielder of it in the modern world.

... Physical changes?

[ How does that even happen? She says this curiously as she taps her pen on the table. Man, there's not a lot of crossover here... ]

[Boy would he like to know!!!]

Yes, though I do not yet know the extent of them. [...how does he put this.] My health has actually been rather poor for much of my life. But after arriving here, for the first time I have been without pain. Needless to say it was rather startling at first.

What, so it's not just that you didn't catch up to your memories?

[ Elda didn't get a new one on Sunday, so she assumes not? Everyone probably is caught up now, right? ]

I am very decidedly caught up as well. [Very...decidedly...] But no, this particular one has been one that I have been aware of the entire time here.

Huh, that's weird they would fix that up for you, then. I mean mage-girl over there still has her arm aching every other day.

[ . . . Was that meant to be a secret?

Oh, here's one. She'll sign off on Has a Decorated Room. ]

[ Well, you know..."can perform artes/magic", he'll sign that off even considering everything (i.e., being here and the way things panned out back home.) ]

'Dyes hair'...? That's not all natural?

[They're actually pretty similar in that regard...it's not like he can do artes without spyrix. But still!

Rideaux chuckles at the question.]

No. [He runs his fingers through one of his bangs.] I dye this part.

[...and since it's been like two months, it has probably faded considerably. But the only color dye he's come across is teal-colored, and even when Alex was alive he was absolutely not going to share a style with her. Teal's nowhere near his color anyway.]

[ They do have a few things in common, huh. ]

... Huh. Does it take very long to do something like that?

[ Wait, he did recall that part being more evident at some point -- the color, anyway. Oh well. He knows jack about actually dying hair himself, so. ]

Not terribly long, since I only do my bangs. Now if I dyed all of my hair, it would be en entirely different story.

[ Next one he'll move to 'likes to party'. Now, he wouldn't set up a big one back home or anything, but y'know, he actually likes them more now that he's been spending time in a place like this. ]

...So, you can dance? Is it the formal kind that people can do?

I think 'can cook' might be the only one we both have. Some of yours fit me as well, but I did not think to include them on my card.

[He likes the way Luca dresses! And let's be real he totally understands the vanity...they've both got shades of it in their profiles.

How did you find living there? Did you enjoy it?

It had it's pluses and minuses. I never had trouble finding a bar, for example, and it was very easy to blend in to the crowd there. But it can get overwhelming sometimes, being around so many people.

By all means. I do have to agree, though. Yuri would be the only other one that I could see it being true for.

Ah, that's true... I remember Estelle mentioned something about it. It's strange that something that seems so common to me is so rare here, though.

Believe me, I get that. I've had that thought many times when it comes to the level of technological advancement that my world has compared to many of yours.
