RESISTANCE MEETING

[The clock chimes at 10PM as it always does, and if you're one of the people who decided to go to the meeting, you'll find the conference room is properly set up to accommodate all 27 remaining students. If you were expecting refreshments or anything then tough luck. Logan can't cook and the kitchen's closed now.

Logan has taken the chair at one end of the table because of course he has, but he'll wait until most people are gathered before speaking up.]

I'm sure you're all aware of why this meeting is absolutely necessary after that... announcement. What we need to do is share any information we have about this place and our captor. The Conductor will answer letters, but I have not gotten anything particularly useful from him.

Calm down. The guns don't have any bullets that fit. The bullets I've received have been for Reaver's gun, which is exceptionally rare. As I said, the guns don't work to begin with. There are other, more pressing things to worry about.

[Like the fact that this machine drops swords, pickaxes, poison...]

Like what? You mean in the machine?

Yes. The machine has dropped a sword, a pickaxe, and poison. Those are the ones I'm aware of, at least.

Why can't we just use that shit to help us get out? The pickaxe anyway. Don't people use those to dig holes and shit?

Mining, I believe. Perhaps it could be useful, but I'm certain the Conductor has prepared for that if he put it in the machine in the first place.

Why don't we use these against him? Try and find the Conductor and take him out with the stuff?

As much as I'd like that, there is the rule in place about how we can't harm him unless he invites us to.

Besides, when would we have an opportunity to get at him? He locks the kitchen and the mail room at night.

[ He shrugs, stuffing his hands in his pockets. ] Nothing wrong with breaking a few rules, right?

When he is in complete control of our situation like this, we need to be cautious. We don't know what will happen if we break his rules. I'm sure he'll want us to "take responsibility" for our actions, but there's no telling what that will involve.

I would appreciate that, yes. He would have been furious if his bullets went missing. If anyone receives an incredibly large gun from that machine, please let me know.

[He holds his hands out to indicate the size of the gun which is REALLY FUCKING LARGE.]

I sincerely doubt any of us could handle that.

He was the Hero of Skill, guns were his specialty. I suspect he was just showing off, honestly.

[EYEROLL but that's said in a surprisingly soft tone. As angry as he is about everyone prying into his personal life, he really does have a soft spot for his stupid dead friend.]

...It's alright. The point is that if that drops from the machine, none of us will be able to use it. The recoil alone would most likely dislocate your shoulders, if you're lucky.

[Maybe someone like Dio could use it. Maybe. But if Dio isn't any good with guns then that'd be a shitshow.]

Jesus. [ Marty shakes his head. ] Not sure why the Conductor would give us a bunch of weird shit if half of us can't even use it.
