Final Investigation.

Friday morning dawns like the rest of the week before it, with the chiming of the clock and the doors to the kitchen unlocking; once again, there's no announcement from Jericho, and everything seems to be largely quiet. Noticeably quiet, really, given that there are only eight of you left. However, quiet tends to be a good thing around here, overall; it means you're free to go about your business like you usually would. There are a couple of things to note, however, as your morning proceeds onward and begins to creep into afternoon. The first is that Rin's unlockable box has started making a strange mechanical whirring sound. The second is that sometime slightly after noon, the power to the building suddenly and abruptly goes out, casting everything into darkness. Interesting.

[The stairs continue upwards for a very long time, longer than it probably should be given the space you're in. But I'm assuming you guys want to keep going, so eventually the stairs will end and you'll find yourself in a room.

The wall is lined with windows looking outside that you can check out, or you could check out the beds - it looks like you've found yourselves a bedroom!

Since this room isn't split up like the others, you guys can both explore here at your leisure.]

The view is indeed the same! There's the large city and lots of snow. It's sort of peaceful here.]

Well, at least the sunlight doesn't burn.

[Luca is going to inspect the window he is at. Are there any latches or buttons, any clear ways of opening it?]

It is odd. Who ever heard of a place with no sun?

[ ... Well, I mean, time for her to look around the rest of the room? The most obvious other place to look at was that bed, right? Or does the room have other furniture? ... Or was it actually beds plural? ]

[Beds, plural! There's also other furniture - a vanity and there's also a closet.]

... Let's look at these beds (2?) and... are they identical? Made? Anything up with them on top of them? ]

[There's two twin beds in the room, but they're far from identical. One of them is decorated with fluffy pillows and stuffed animals (cats and bunnies, cute things like that) while the other bed has covers in black, white, and red with some sort of abstract design on them. It's very modern and stylish!]

She frowns a little bit, wishing that she had a camera before just shaking her head. Just to be on the safe side she's going to make the probably futile gesture of pulling back/up the covers and shaking a couple of the stuffed animals. No traps and/or ghosts? ]

[No traps or ghosts here! There doesn't seem to be anything off about the beds either.]

Might as well be a good adventurer before moving on, get all of that fucking nothing. ]

[Looking underneath stuff and looking up are both excellent ideas, but unfortunately there isn't anything to find here today!

...Though while you're looking down you might notice something in the corner of the room.]

[ . . . Well, Ditty, you can just play with the stuffed animals for now. Just in case there's ghosts.

But she'll be walking/crawling over to that corner of the room. ]

Are these adult beds, or are they for kids?]

[They're twin-sized, so they're for adults!]

While Elda's over doing that thing, Luca's going to check out the vanity. First he'll look at the top of it, to see if anything's been left on it.]

[Good call! There's plenty of jewelry sitting out on the vanity, though it looks cheaply-made. Necklaces, bracelets, that sort of thing.

There is one necklace that stands out a bit though - do you want to check that out?]

[Of course he does. He will go ahead and pick up the necklace that stands out so he can inspect it more closely.

Now let's just hope there's no machete hidden anywhere in the vanity.]

By the way while they go over there, are there any lights on in this area? Or is it as dark as the stairs were?]

[The view from the windows is the same as the other area, so there's not too much going on here.

As for the lights, there are some but they're pretty dim. You can still see once your eyes adjust though, so don't worry about that!]
