RESISTANCE MEETING 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO
[Like last week, the conference room is set up with enough chairs for everyone (two less than last week) but there isn't any food provided because of the uh... dinner party. Hopefully that didn't go so poorly that the entire group has been split or anything, that would certainly suck.
But once again it's time to discuss the state of things here. Logan's in the same seat he was last time at one end of the table. He's particularly distracted today and he can't seem to focus on that book he's been carrying around, so he'll start things a little earlier today.]
As I'm sure you all know, this week's incentive could easily motivate someone to attempt to murder someone. We need to discuss the state of things here - has anyone found anything since the last meeting? Nighttime patrols have been discussed and I believe Giovanni was handling that. Do we have any other ideas for how we could prevent any more deaths?
(OOC: Like last time, treat this post like a trial - threadjack and go crazy!)

But what about that glass panel behind the thirtieth podium?

[There will be another trial, there's no avoiding that. But maybe they can use that to their advantage.]

Of course, now that I've said as much out loud I don't doubt the Conductor's scrambling to take precautions against exactly this. Even so, I trust some of us are intelligent enough to plan for that as well.

[...unless you have magical vampire powers or something. Do you have magical vampire powers? That might be useful to know.]

[He gestured towards a crack in the conference room wall.]
As it is, that appears to be the best that I'm capable of now. So either we throw everything we have at our disposal at it all at once, or come up with another method.

I somehow doubt we'll be able to get that door down with anything we've been given. He's most likely prepared for that possibility and taken precautions to ensure we will not be successful in attempting to break it down.

[And here comes Hibiki with a wild theory of her own.]

[But she's going to look to the king for confirmation. Logan, help.]
What do ya think I should do? Schemin' isn't really my strong point, so I'm fine with whatever you want me to do.

[but who knows, he has no idea how the conductor is keeping track of them at all times, so]

[And, so, Hibiki starts writing on one of the provided pieces of paper. She leans over the paper in hopes of obscuring it...the concept isn't that hard, and it's something that she's been thinking about since her first time meeting Logan. Her handwriting is rough but with harsh lines, like someone writing quickly but still pressing down hard on the pen.
"What about the kitchen? Does anyone really know what happens there during night time? I know it's against the rules to go in after dark, but someone has to be physically putting things in the cupboard and fridge, right? And we all have access to the kitchen during the day. Isn't that the Conductor, too?"
For all the secrecy, it's probably a really bad idea, but it's clear she's trying harder, right? Right? She'll pass it to Logan first, but she doesn't have her hopes set too high. If she's the one coming up with the idea, it can't be that great.]

While I do believe that may be the easiest way to confront him, I have no doubt that this would count as breaking his rules - we do not know what the punishment is for breaking the rules. It may very well be death.
While I do believe it is a possibility, it may not provide any results.
[Outside of someone else dying.]

I've considered it as well. It would be simple to be locked into the kitchen or mail room, but I also think Logan may be correct. He's likely to kill us outright for breaking his precious rules, and 'some areas of the facility are off-limits to Participants' seems unfortunately difficult for even me to argue around.
So that plan comes down to 'can the one locked in kill him before they're killed themselves', and I don't think the odds would be in our favor unless all of us were in the same room. Even then, there's a real risk of failure.

When you put it like that, it sounds impossible. But what if we could see into the kitchen without being inside of it? Is something like that possible? Sometimes, when you give someone a rule, there are creative ways around it, right?
no subject
I could argue that banning us from either room at night contradicts 'Participants are encouraged to investigate and utilize the facility to their liking', but he's just as likely to come back and say the former takes precedence due to being higher on the list.
[Law school graduate, folks.]
That said, there must be something. A creatively arranged system of mirrors in the mail room and under the door seems overly elaborate, not to mention easily destroyed.
What if we just dismantled the door entirely? Take it off its hinges and put it in the incinerator? I don't recall any rule against that.
no subject
She quickly wants to add something onto that, so she tries to get it before Logan does.]
There's also the storage room. It's right next to the kitchen, but it's not locked at night. I don't know if making a hole in the wall would work at all and peeping isn't really something I approve of, but it wouldn't be the worst thing, right?
no subject
Dio, as long as there isn't a rule against it he shouldn't be able to punish us for that.
[...]
Do you believe we could convince Rick to do it, just in case?

If we're turning to the alcoholic fool for assistance, someone else is going to have to do it. He and I are not on speaking terms for the sake of his own continued health.
