trustfell | Week 5.

WEEK 5
Two more are gone this week. Luna and Chie Hori have joined those who are present only in memory now, and their passing seems to have left a lot of emotions raw and exposed.

But as usual, the group has at least a little bit of time to recover. Saturday can be dedicated to rest and sleep; on Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock. The stairwells are clear of bodies; there's no more death to be dealt with for the time being. Unless, of course, you happened to recover something particularly unfortunate in your dreams...

Once again, there's a new floor to explore; your reward for doing your job well.

And since you've survived for a month now, you are doing your job well.

However, the new floor isn't the only thing that's changed; there are a few things about the building that seem a little...off. A few things that weren't there before might be, or a few things that should be there aren't; you'll just have to see what the week brings, won't you? That is, if you're not going to be investigating all the goings-on personally...

We can do that! Wanna start today, or set up a meetin' time? At least we can use the piano here instead of the one in the ballroom...

We can start now, if you want! [ Since he has nothing else to do, and he wants to spend more time with Sol anyway. ]

Yeah... I'm glad we have this piano now. [ There's no way he'd want to play that other one now. ]

God, me too...and okay, let me just put this away. [ She'll break the flute down and stow it in the case... ]

An' we may as well start out simple - we're gonna have you master "twinkle twinkle little star", 'kay?

[ He nods, sitting down at the piano. ]

Okay. Let's get started! [ Yuuri presses a couple of keys, like he's testing the piano. ] What's first?

Your fingerin' position. Here - [ Just going to take his hands and arrange them. ] ...Well, I guess we should also teach you, uh, how to read music and shit...but it's not like we have sheet music for what I'm teachin' you, so we'll just have to wing that...

[ He lets her guide his hands, resting them on the keys. ]

I can kind of read it, but I guess we don't need it right now. [ Plus he hasn't tried reading sheet music since elementary school. ]

Maybe we should bug him for more music. [ HE'S...OBLIGING SOMETIMES... ] This feel okay? I guess we should get you doin' some scales so the movements feel natural...kinda like learnin' to type on a computer, right?

I can write a letter for him if you want. [ He doesn't know what he'll put though. Maybe "give us more sheet music" will work? ]

Yeah, it feels fine. It's a little weird, though. [ Since he's not used to having his fingers in this position. ] How do you do a scale?

Sure. You're loads more polite than me...

[ She grins, and begins to show him, moving a little down the piano to take up a different side. The high notes. ]

It's pretty simple. Just about workin' your fingers...

[ handwaves mini lesson on scales................ ]

So... Like this? [ He slowly but surely plays out a scale, only missing one note as his finger slips and hits one of the black keys. ]

Ah, minus that mistake, though.

...Minus the mistake, yeah. But one mistake? That's pretty good for a fresh newbie.

[ She grins. ]

Maybe you learned to play but forgot?

I hope not. But that might be possible, since I don't know how many memories I'm missing.

[ He plays the scale again, still going just as slowly as before. ]

Yeah...most of my memories haven't been so far apart, but then, I actually remember bein' fourteen like my profile says, so...

[ He nods. ]

My age is right too, so it couldn't be missing too many memories. All of mine are so confusing, though, I have no idea how far apart they are.

Mine seem to be only weeks apart at most...or days, recently. They're...a little confusin', but basically I guess I'd be just as kidnapped back home as I am here...fuck my life, basically.

[ He pauses in thought, looking down at the piano keys. ]

If it's possible... Would you like to go with me to my country? [ They were already all brought here there's no reason why they can't go to each other's worlds, right... After all, Hibiki was already making plans for a few of them to go to Okinawa. ]

You'd...ask me to go back there?

[ Somehow, this is a surprise to her. And for a second, she imagines it. Yuuri's world - his castle, or whatever, and a place where she presumably wouldn't be imprisoned or hunted to kill.

Goz. The South. Satoru, Jin, the rest of that group... ]

...I've always wanted to live in a world where livin' wouldn't be considered a sin. But even so - even so, I promised to protect those guys, and...without at least one person to use Song, what would happen to them...?

Of course I would.

[ But he's not surprised that Sol doesn't immediately agree to it—she's not the kind of person that would. ]

It's okay if you decide to go back home, since you have people to go back to. But you would be welcome in Shin Makoku too.

[ She has obligations and responsibilities! Like Yuuri does...but even so, she looks a little happier.

...Have a Sol leaning against you, Yuuri. It's not a hug, but hey. ]

Thanks, Yuuri. I definitely don't suggest it, but...you'd be welcome in the Southern District, too.

[ BUT. JAIL ISLAND, SO. ]

[ He appreciates the sentiment at least! And he'll just put an arm around her shoulders, in a little half hug. ]

It would be a little hard to explain but... Everyone would really like you. Especially Greta.

[ He only had a brother, so she couldn't be that... ]

Yeah, she's my daughter. She's a couple of years younger than you, though.

[ And he should probably elaborate on that a little. ]

[ SHE ASSUMES THIS MEANS = ADOPTED, BUT WHY ARE YOU ADOPTING AT 15???? ]
