WEEK 5 Tabitha Smith, Sigrun Eide, and Solf J Kimblee are all dead. Regardless of what you think of the trial or the events leading up to it, there's no denying that you can feel the dent in your numbers now. After all, ten people are gone now. It may be hard, but all you can do is keep going. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... What with Jericho's excitement at the last trial, it's evident now more than ever that the new floor that's opened up to you is a gift, a reward for a job well-done. Because while surviving is something that you'll continue to try to do of your own merit...well. Let's say that he's so, so very proud of you. No, I don't think that's it at all. It wouldn't exactly be very physical if it was, I think. It's probably some kind of jewel...I almost want to say it's a garnet, just based off of looks.

[These are just very pretty red stones made of...probably some kind of jewel, just from the way they feel in Sayaka's hand.]

[ Yuri's not been able to keep track of everything in the meetings..so he'll just listen to that, yep. ]

Yeah, it is. I dunno what's gonna be really behind them, but I imagine it'd probably be something useful.

[ Oh well, he'll just try to take it one day at a time for now. Everyone's trying their best, so it's bound to have something come of it sooner or later... ]

So, you felt like trying to get in some practice over there or something? I noticed you were going at it pretty hard for a bit.

Anyone can run a meeting. [She folds her arms in her lap.] That's what I'd tell you if you had left it at that, anyways, instead of saying words like "from now on". Isn't an indefinite hiatus extreme?

Aha...yeah, actually. I had a little bit of frustration to vent out, but I did at least want to practice a bit.

[She just. Keeps rubbing her hand a bit. She's not quite looking when she speaks, but her face seems almost kind of stormy? It's barely held back by a smile.]

Dreams, you know? They're a pain in the butt at best, but kind of bothersome at worst.

Not much. I saw you scoping out this place and thought you might've needed help looking for stuff.

[ So Yuri basically just stepped into a place like this without much thinking. He'll step forward to look at one of the jars here. ]

... Do you actually recognize what some of these things are?

[ Besides 'they're probably toxic' and 'they're chemicals', because he sure doesn't. ]

Without altering memories? Probably not. If you want to forget something, it's a given that's because it left a deep mark.

[She could be completely off base since his response was so unhelpful, but that's her guess at what he means.]

[ From what Yuri can tell, Luca's looking at a pile of stuff from the vending machine and there are an assortment of questionable items out for view. ]

Mm. [Likewise here.] Anyways, I just wanted to say that. You've seemed happier lately, so... It would be a waste, is all.

[She won't bug Susan any more about it.]

[ WHOOPS slipped his mind to inform Estelle earlier. Okay no it actually didn't because he wanted to not worry her just in case but looks like it worked out just fine. ]

Hey, that's not bad at all. You know, if anyone could come up with something brilliant that worked, it'd sure be Rita, and it's about time things started to look up.

[ Yuri feels relief, though if they weren't here that amount of relief would be greater. Still, it's a considerable amount considering all the grief that has resulted because of there seeming to be little options to control Estelle's power. ]

...You got a plush of her, huh? Looks pretty adorable.

Yeah. I don't suppose you have any ideas about that?

I don't see why there needs to be a competition, personally. They do have qualities that make them attractive to different people, admittedly, but they're both good companions.

And I'm glad to hear it. ...I'm sure that's more than just dead small things he managed to hunt down.

Yeah, though...if we let ourselves fall that far, someone's gonna wind up winning.

[...She takes another peer at what Susan's drawing, idly, just kind of stopping her writing for a moment.]

Or...well, all of us could end up like that, if no one decides to act. It'd be about...200 hours, if I've got it right.

They are. But you can manipulate them just like you can with fire and electricity. Same thing with how you can put fire in a lantern to light shit and all. Souls are the same thing, cept they're one of the best power sources.

And you know what's a good medium for storing souls? Jewels!

[ Well, Yuri might've been waiting for a question like that. ]

Yeah, I have one loyal companion. His name's Repede, and he's even by my side on the profile they have stuck up there. He's been with me ever since he was a pup, and he's always been wherever I've gone--including the battlefield. He's pretty tough and reliable too--can't say I can ask for a better one.

And the girl who doesn't like murder is taking part in some sort of systematic attempt to get people to kill each other. They're quite a pair, aren't they?

[ Wandering around is a thing he does too, and this is why he makes his way into the ballroom. Or maybe it was the sound of someone playing that drew him in. ]

[...She stares at the stones for a little while, just kind of...considering, for a moment, with the most quirked expression.

She then, after this while, goes to roll the spherical stone in her hand a bit.]

Well, at least they'll be well taken care of, if they are.

[Sayaka has no desire to access her reaction to the possibility that this stone is made of people, but you know what, she made a promise.]

I'd be more concerned if it were made of the same stuff that came from Fern-san, but just...hardened.
