WEEK 5.

WEEK 5

Tabitha Smith, Sigrun Eide, and Solf J Kimblee are all dead. Regardless of what you think of the trial or the events leading up to it, there's no denying that you can feel the dent in your numbers now. After all, ten people are gone now.

It may be hard, but all you can do is keep going.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

What with Jericho's excitement at the last trial, it's evident now more than ever that the new floor that's opened up to you is a gift, a reward for a job well-done. Because while surviving is something that you'll continue to try to do of your own merit...well.

Let's say that he's so, so very proud of you.

[That sure was an interesting night that will warrant some investigation later. Luca didn't catch all of it, because sleeping, but he did get at least the last half of it. And that distress in Jericho's voice had been particularly interesting.

But until he can do his stuff later, Luca goes about his day doing other things. After a breakfast in the kitchen, where he is willing to share eggs, sausage, and toast with anyone who stops by, he ends up at the chemistry lab for a while. While chemistry isn't his strong suit, it is still a science, and it is one of the few he can actually do anything with right now. Anyone who comes across him there will find him in the process of trying to set up a burner of sorts using spare parts and a bit of wood to make fire.

Later he can be found at the vending machine, where he gets... Well. It certainly is a thing at least.
]

Why is something like this in there?

vending machine

[personal profile] hesperos 2017-10-13 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
Why is something like what in there?

[ From what Yuri can tell, Luca's looking at a pile of stuff from the vending machine and there are an assortment of questionable items out for view. ]
notaccurate: (09)

[personal profile] notaccurate 2017-10-13 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
[There are indeed many questionable things here. Thankfully none are too embarrassing.]

This outfit here. This was in my closet back home, why is it here all of a sudden?

[...yeah he owns that. Can you picture him wearing that, Yuri? Because he does.]
hesperos: (144)

[personal profile] hesperos 2017-10-13 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe someone wants you to wear it?

[ Yuri can picture him wearing it. He's seen people wear worse, to be fair (like for example, Cumore). ]

Is it supposed to be some kinda party outfit or something?
notaccurate: (21)

[personal profile] notaccurate 2017-10-13 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
That...may require a bit of an explanation.

[The fact that he looks a little embarrassed by it is probably a sign that it is not something easy to talk about.]

Do you have time for it?
hesperos: (23)

[personal profile] hesperos 2017-10-13 12:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I always have time for awkward explanations.

[ Once Yuri is done with the teasing though he'll lean against one of the walls nearby. ]

Alright, you can go ahead.
notaccurate: (76)

[personal profile] notaccurate 2017-10-13 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Alright then.

[This was probably a conversation they were going to have to have at some point, so.]

Well. Have you heard of a 'confirmed bachelor' before?
hesperos: (139)

[personal profile] hesperos 2017-10-13 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Kinda? If you mean just a regular bachelor or something.

[ ... Aka no he probably doesn't get what Luca means by that. ]
notaccurate: (52)

[personal profile] notaccurate 2017-10-14 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh lordy this is going to be even worse than he thought.]

That is...well, there are some similarities, I suppose. But, mmm...A 'confirmed bachelor' is someone who will obviously always be a bachelor, because he will never marry a woman.

[A pause.]

For the, ah, most obvious reasons, that is.

... Is your magic science-y too?

[ she asks as she... wanders in...

Hi Luca... ]
notaccurate: (22)

[personal profile] notaccurate 2017-10-14 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
[Hi Elda]

It is not merely 'scence-y', it is a legitimate field of science.
matchbreaker: (MY NUTS)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-10-14 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
Well then it's not really magic, is it?

[ L O G I C ]
notaccurate: (29)

[personal profile] notaccurate 2017-10-14 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly, it's not. The only reason I have been referring to it as 'magic' is because I dislike having that long conversation of 'it is a science but it may resemble magic to you' every time I bring it up.
matchbreaker: (WITH CRUEL INTENTIONS)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-10-14 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
How many times has that actually come up?

[ Like. Yeah ]
notaccurate: (51)

[personal profile] notaccurate 2017-10-14 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
At least four times.

[At least.]
matchbreaker: (In ADOBODOBODOBO)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-10-14 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
[ . . . ]

Well, whatever! Even Jericho seems to think it's called magic so who can blame 'em?
notaccurate: (74)

[personal profile] notaccurate 2017-10-15 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly.

Besides, it's probably for the best that nobody here really understands how it works. Sfeer Theory can be used for some very frightening things, and I would hate to see it show up at a trial.

[personal profile] didntgetdadslooks 2017-10-14 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
It's not the weirdest outfit I've ever seen!

[ You know, assuming this is just another case of "ew vending machine junk" ]
notaccurate: (04)

[personal profile] notaccurate 2017-10-14 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
[It's not, but details.]

No, I would not call it that weird. I just never expected to find it in here of all places. And recently cleaned too, I just wore it recently and I haven't had time to have it washed.
didntgetdadslooks: (10)

[personal profile] didntgetdadslooks 2017-10-14 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, that kind of... right, sorry. They really do have some weird picks from our stuff in here, huh?
notaccurate: (09)

[personal profile] notaccurate 2017-10-14 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
Indeed. I don't think I like the idea of Jericho rummaging through my closet.
didntgetdadslooks: (17)

[personal profile] didntgetdadslooks 2017-10-14 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
If I had a closet, I'm pretty sure I'd feel the same way. As it is, I don't like thinking about him being around the people close to me back home.

[ he's gonna give her dad Ideas ]
notaccurate: (31)

[personal profile] notaccurate 2017-10-14 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think I like that idea much either.

[And he hadn't been thinking of that before, but boy he sure is now. Jericho better not hurt his kid.]
didntgetdadslooks: (29)

[personal profile] didntgetdadslooks 2017-10-14 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
I think it all comes back to Jericho being... kind of the worst? That's a thing people say, right?
notaccurate: (16)

[personal profile] notaccurate 2017-10-15 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
I think so, perhaps. I am not up to date on current slang, though.
