WEEK 5 Tabitha Smith, Sigrun Eide, and Solf J Kimblee are all dead. Regardless of what you think of the trial or the events leading up to it, there's no denying that you can feel the dent in your numbers now. After all, ten people are gone now. It may be hard, but all you can do is keep going. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... What with Jericho's excitement at the last trial, it's evident now more than ever that the new floor that's opened up to you is a gift, a reward for a job well-done. Because while surviving is something that you'll continue to try to do of your own merit...well. Let's say that he's so, so very proud of you. Actually, the same. I was pretty surprised about that myself.

[ Last week seems to have just been bad memory week. Or at least from what Yuri could tell, anyway. ]

I guess we're finally getting something like a break. It's probably not going to last. But...at least we have a little while. Until Tuesday, maybe.

Yeah. In the meanwhile we might as well take the chance while we still can, huh?

I guess so. It's a shame when I have to help fill in for the people who are going through shit.

[Finishing up, she turns off the stove and goes to join him with her own plate.]

Have you seen the new floor yet?

Heh.

[ Wow. Must be a week already then if that's happening--not that he thinks Susan doing that in particular is a bad thing. ]

I'm gonna say not just yet--I just got up and I need something to wake me up, you know? [ Like food. ] Wouldn't want to walk straight into a wall in the middle of some exploration.

[ ...Also because he's not a morning person. ]

Yeah, I haven't either. One thing at a time. As long as there's nothing awful up there, I'm sure it can wait.

[ He takes a moment to stuff his face. ]

You cook a lot back home? This isn't bad.

Not at all, really. But pancakes aren’t hard. And I remembered my new...lodger, I guess, making some for us, so I guess I was in the mood.

For most people it isn't.

[ 'Pancakes aren't hard'—Yuri snorts as he recalls saying that to Flynn once when he goofed those up. Repeatedly. ]

Huh. That person who just moved in a good friend of yours too or nah?

I guess we got to be friends. I didn't know her when she first turned up - I'd forgotten I even offered the room for rent. But I guess it was...good to have someone around.

Yeah, having a friend around can brighten things up--even when I hadn't met the people I did while traveling around, I'd usually have Repede by my side at least.

Repede? [Sounds like a pet, maybe, the way he phrases it?]

[hesperos]

Yeah, he's my faithful and loyal companion. If you've seen my profile, he's right there with me.

[ So, you know, yes he is his pet. ]

Oh, yeah...what sort of animal is he? [he looks like a fucking cartoon]

He's a dog, actually. Though maybe it might be hard to tell.

[ And not because Yuri is thinking Repede looks like a cartoon (which he does, ofc), but because he thinks some people might mistake Repede for a wolf. ]
