WEEK 5 Tabitha Smith, Sigrun Eide, and Solf J Kimblee are all dead. Regardless of what you think of the trial or the events leading up to it, there's no denying that you can feel the dent in your numbers now. After all, ten people are gone now. It may be hard, but all you can do is keep going. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... What with Jericho's excitement at the last trial, it's evident now more than ever that the new floor that's opened up to you is a gift, a reward for a job well-done. Because while surviving is something that you'll continue to try to do of your own merit...well. Let's say that he's so, so very proud of you. Is there anything weighty enough here to do so?

It looks like there's tools in that new woodworking room? We could try some of those.

[bloodbiter]

I will admit that I do not recognize most of the items there, but... I suppose when swung with enough power, they could be very damaging, correct?

[A pause.]

Which is worrying in it's own right, quite honestly.

[ninehundredlives]

Yeah. Between that and the poison room...

[Even some of these art things could be used for murder, probably.]

Wasn't the infirmary already basically a poison room, at this point?

[bloodbiter]

I suppose if someone was determined enough, they could use anything, but...

[A frown.]

It still isn't comforting to have so many harmful items around.

No. Not really. There's probably not any point in trying to hide them, either - I'm sure they'd just put more in here.

[bloodbiter]

Similar to how the kitchen functions, I imagine. They certainly have the power to do so.

[A sigh.]

[ninehundredlives]

Yeah, exactly. They’re not going to take murder weapons away from us. They might even make it worse somehow...

[bloodbiter]

Worse somehow? How do you mean?

[ninehundredlives]

I don't know. Maybe they'd add snakes.

[bloodbiter]

[She pauses, but then she can't help but laugh.]

That does seem up Jericho's alley, somehow.

Why not? Oh, except Hibiki would probably like that. So maybe not...scorpions?

[bloodbiter]

[A pause.]

What is a scorpion?

[ninehundredlives]

Oh. It's like...a stinging poisonous bug. They live in the desert. People are afraid of them, but...I don't think they're really poison enough to kill a human?

[bloodbiter]

Oh... I imagine they must be very harmful, even if they aren't deadly. Otherwise, I don't see why anyone would fear them.

[ninehundredlives]

People are scared of lots of things that aren't dangerous, though. Like most spiders.

[bloodbiter]

That does not mean they should be. I was frightened of spiders when I was younger, but... When I realized they meant no harm, it was easy to escape that fear.

[ninehundredlives]

Yeah, but they still are. It doesn't matter if they should be or not.

[bloodbiter]

I don't know. I would say that it does matter, in a certain sense.
