WEEK 5.

WEEK 5

Tabitha Smith, Sigrun Eide, and Solf J Kimblee are all dead. Regardless of what you think of the trial or the events leading up to it, there's no denying that you can feel the dent in your numbers now. After all, ten people are gone now.

It may be hard, but all you can do is keep going.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

What with Jericho's excitement at the last trial, it's evident now more than ever that the new floor that's opened up to you is a gift, a reward for a job well-done. Because while surviving is something that you'll continue to try to do of your own merit...well.

Let's say that he's so, so very proud of you.

Shooting Range

[Susan comes to the doorway and just sort of...stands and watches for a little bit. She doesn't say anything to indicate her presence, so oops.

Eventually, though, she will speak up. Archer isn't someone she's especially close to, but she doesn't know if those people could help her with this. Anyway, they're both here right now.]

Could you show me how to shoot one of these?

[Thanks, Susan. That startles him a bit when she does speak up, but he sets the bow down before turning to her.]

I can try. I've never been a very good teacher.

[Come over here, then.]

[Okay, let's go. She approaches, taking a bow down off the rack herself as she comes.]

That's fair. I'd rather not need it for...anything urgent, here.

You'd be better off with another weapon. That machine drops quite a few of them, from what I've seen.

[since i have never shot a bow before, we'll just handwave the lessons!! Archer knows what he's doing but it's easier for him to show than it is to explain.]

It wouldn't be my first choice. [Even after these super-great lessons!] But that's no reason not to even learn the basics. I haven't got anything else that can work at a distance.

Fair enough. It's always been something I've found relaxing, even if it isn't particularly useful in most situations.

I can see that. I've only fired a gun once before, but I understand why people might do that for sport. It can be satisfying...
