WEEK 5.
Tabitha Smith, Sigrun Eide, and Solf J Kimblee are all dead. Regardless of what you think of the trial or the events leading up to it, there's no denying that you can feel the dent in your numbers now. After all, ten people are gone now. It may be hard, but all you can do is keep going. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... What with Jericho's excitement at the last trial, it's evident now more than ever that the new floor that's opened up to you is a gift, a reward for a job well-done. Because while surviving is something that you'll continue to try to do of your own merit...well. Let's say that he's so, so very proud of you. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 23 |

...Yet I wouldn't want that one thing to completely ruin my memory of them.

When I killed Maxwell I vowed that I would protect spirit and human alike, no matter the cost.

It would be lovely if we were in a situation where forgiving those who seek to cause harm would be safe for any of us. But... I have never known such a world.

I believe that is the reason that we are still able to form bonds and foster trust even in this situation.

It is certainly disappointing that some have bowed to the wishes of our captors, but truth be told, it is something I expected. However... It truly does make me hopeful to see so many people here growing close to one another. That is not something I strictly anticipated.

Even so, I think it's only natural that we would seek companionship with one another as time goes on. After all we are, right now the only allies that we can hope for.

[A small, slightly sad smile.]
I had thought, initially, that fear and distrust would turn us against each other after we discovered the terms of this twisted situation. I am glad to see that many here are stronger than I gave them credit for, though.

But you are correct. Even now we are all finding our own ways to fight back. It makes me happy to see so many refusing to lose heart.

[She nods.]
I only wish it were more effective at stopping all of this.
