WEEK 5 Tabitha Smith, Sigrun Eide, and Solf J Kimblee are all dead. Regardless of what you think of the trial or the events leading up to it, there's no denying that you can feel the dent in your numbers now. After all, ten people are gone now. It may be hard, but all you can do is keep going. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... What with Jericho's excitement at the last trial, it's evident now more than ever that the new floor that's opened up to you is a gift, a reward for a job well-done. Because while surviving is something that you'll continue to try to do of your own merit...well. Let's say that he's so, so very proud of you. Actually, this is a really nice setup they have. [Rin turns her head to admire the cabinets and everything again.] I'd say they like it a lot!

In hindsight, I can see it. If there was another secret door behind one of these cabinets, everything might fall off moving it.

So how is everything else going? Have you decided if you're going to talk to Kirei or not?

I've um...been a little preoccupied lately. [ alex- ] But- you know, maybe? ...Uggh, I don't know still.

Seeking out Kirei should always be a last resort, anyways. [Said with a sage nod. Rin, plz...] If you've been preoccupied, I take it they haven't been giving you as much trouble.

[Right? She's guessing there, but not writing the problem off, looking to Alex for confirmation one way or the other.]

You...know, they haven't, really. A few headaches here and there, but like...now that I know they're there, it's just like having some...really annoying kind of inconsiderate roommates.

[ ...Little wince. ]

Okay. Kind of annoying. The point is, it seems they're...not as bad here, without the environment we were in.

[Was that feedback just now, she wonders?]

That's good. Maybe they're just as baffled by the situation as we are. For ninety-seven of them, they're surprisingly cooperative.

Well...they're kind of...not great at acting like something other than a single entity.

But they do have opinions they voice all the same? Is it thoughts, or just a feeling?

Sometimes it's just a feeling, but they've mostly got thoughts. They're just all unified.

[Alex compared them to inconsiderate roommates before, so...]

Then it's like dealing with a peanut gallery. At least it's not fifty opinions that don't agree with yours.

Ha. Yeah, that's...true. It'd be worse then... [ ... ] I still kind of... It's sad that they're just sort of...one thing now. Not themselves.

[ Alex feels bad for the things in her head, in other words. ]

...Geez, I'm starting to see why they're stuck with you. [It's a vibe she's getting. They've been with her for too long.] Your relationship is so weird, a term doesn't exist for it yet. It's like Stockholm Syndrome, but with more possession.

[ She snorts. ]

Look, you spend a lot of time with the ghost-things trapped in the same dimension as you, you start to get to know what's left of them. ...Wouldn't it freak you out, just...losing things, memories and stuff?

[ ...This is gonna be funny, come tomorrow. ]

[Rin looks away. Despite the pause that follows, she responds like she didn't really need to think about it.]
