WEEK 6.

WEEK 6 You've lost a lot of people this week, haven't you? Katniss Everdeen and Weiss Schnee were killed for rule violations, while Chie Hori and Frank Archer were murdered by Mikoto Suoh and Yuuki Terumi. It doesn't really matter how they died, though, does it? After all, they're dead now and the only thing you can do is keep moving forward. It seems like there's no end in sight. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Changes were promised to you this week; while Sunday dawns seeming no different from the previous weeks, it seems one change is going to remain a constant - namely, a new floor has been opened up to you. Whether this is a promising sign or not is something that you're going to need to decide for yourself. The important thing, for now, is that you continue to do well. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 19

[ Yuri will come into the room properly now so that he's able to better see the results of her practicing up closer. ]

[She doesn't really know Luca well enough, she thinks, to suspect what kind of mood he's going to be in following the incentive, or how much space he might need. So unlike Hibiki he doesn't get a knock on his door, but a note slipped under it instead.]

It's Rin. Still alive in there?

[ When Luca had said that he didn't want his son to see the worst of it, Yuri had been stirring some of the Beef Stew so it would cook evenly. However, he didn't expect the man to make such a request, and almost lost the cooking spoon in the pot. That would've been a pain to fish it out, given how hot the food is.

He just stops instead and lies it carefully in the pot, and he shuts off the fire.

Yuri can tell that Luca needs his help, and he doesn't abandon his companions in need; plus he does have his own worries, though he won't voice them easily. He finds no problem reaching an answer. ]

Yeah, sure. Can't leave you out hanging to dry, you know?

[ Yuri's back is now facing the counter and he's back to leaning against it, as he's begun to let the stew cool. ]

[ Yuri holds back a snort. Oh Estelle, never change. ]

I'll find my own way out of jail; plus, it's just a game and it can be part of the fun. What's the point if there's no challenge?

[hesperos]

[ Oh. That's rough, buddy. ]

That sucks--so, sorry about that. If he was, you know, someone you liked.

And yet I've evaded being a target for this long. How lucky for me.

[Though really, he'd certainly like to see someone try.]

Really? I'd say it's more of a surprise you haven't made an attempt yourself. [Kyrie tilts her head a little] To be frank, Kotomine-san and you are the only people left I think would try to do anything, if offered the right motive.

[On Wednesday morning, Susan is in the kitchen, making a lot of pancakes again. She'll leave them piled on a plate and go to sit with her own and a cup of coffee when she's finished, though she hesitates a little over it:]

Does anybody still want to eat things left out anymore? [After, you know. Everything.

Later on, Wednesday Happens.

Susan didn't know Orihime especially well, but this...is this going to happen every week now? People dying for stupid reasons like that? It isn't her fault; there's no reason sleeping out of doors should carry such a heavy penalty. A week ago she'd thought of asking Alena about it, but...too late now.

In the evening, she drops off some more pictures at the memorial. It has everybody now. Rin was right - if she did Kimblee for Sayaka's sake, she had to do Walter just to not be an utter hypocrite. Those portraits may not be the most labored-over, but nobody can come after her for that. She relights any candles that have gone out as well, and then sits nearby for a while reading a book.]

[The sunshine that is Hibiki doesn't come to answer the door right away. When she does open the door, it's only wide enough to peek through. Once she sees it's Rin, she immediately opens the door wider, stepping back.]

H-hey! Rin! I wasn't expectin' ya to come by today. Is everything alright?

[brandnewday]

You're right! It's a lot better with the rock in the background.

[With a sigh, Hibiki steps closer to the front of the stage before sitting down, legs hanging off of it.]

How's it goin', Ushiromiya-san?

[It takes her a moment to reply. She wants to live in the afterglow of her pretend performance for just a few seconds longer before transitioning out from her idol self to that mixture of both her selves.]

Just 'not bad'? That's one of our company's greatest songs, y'know. But nope! I'm not the lyricist.

You're tellin' me. When I go for a walk, I like to go anywhere I can! Somewhere new every time, that's the goal. But here...I'm so sick of starin' at the same walls.

[But off they go! Sunday in the Murder House with Hibiki.]

[One doesn't just sing without knowing someone could walk in and interrupt them. Hibiki manages to look cool as she performs, but once she realizes it's her fellow idol watching her...she immediately gets flustered, holding her hands in front of her.]

Sayaka! I didn't know you were watchin'!

[She hops down off the stage and stands in front of it.]

I don't even know what to say! I was hopin' that if I ever sang in front of you, I'd be more prepared than I was just now.

[Susan took the motive...well, quietly, at least. She hasn't actually been out and about for most of the day since that. The bar is always an interesting place to check in on.]

[Ah...well, that's a thing. She can't remember anybody other than herself or Elda playing the one downstairs, but maybe that makes sense.]

Maybe he's running the whole thing. Maybe he's more like their boss than a partner. [ ... ] Maybe he's not a person, but like, a flying spaghetti monster. Wiggling his spaghetti arms while he watches us.

[He glances at Kyrie, eyebrows raised. His tone is one of complete surprise...but whether it is genuine surprise or not is up for debate.]

It's based on your behavior and personality, from what I have observed. Your profile hints it too, in my opinion. Someone who likes yourself, who strives for success, who hates when something doesn't go the way you want it to go...you're someone who knows what you want. If you see the chance and you truly want something I believe you'll try your hardest to get it.

It's the kind of behavior I have seen countless times before.

I think Kirei's the only religious person here anyway. And that's really stretching the definition.

Oh, don't look at me. All I know to play is the piano. [She looks around the room thoughtfully.] There's...well, there's drums.

[They're loud and she almost immediately regrets this statement, but hey, if it gives Alex a fun distraction in this hellhole.]

[ He has no idea what being an Idol mostly entails, actually. Well, now he knows it involves singing, but still. ]

So, what made you feel like singing that one? I'm guessing it's not just because it's one of the greatest songs from your company.

[ Or maybe it is, he wouldn't really know. ]
