WEEK 6.

WEEK 6 You've lost a lot of people this week, haven't you? Katniss Everdeen and Weiss Schnee were killed for rule violations, while Chie Hori and Frank Archer were murdered by Mikoto Suoh and Yuuki Terumi. It doesn't really matter how they died, though, does it? After all, they're dead now and the only thing you can do is keep moving forward. It seems like there's no end in sight. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Changes were promised to you this week; while Sunday dawns seeming no different from the previous weeks, it seems one change is going to remain a constant - namely, a new floor has been opened up to you. Whether this is a promising sign or not is something that you're going to need to decide for yourself. The important thing, for now, is that you continue to do well. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 19

[Huh! That's actually kind of cool to think about.]

Yeah, though! I actually really like it here...I've never played another instrument in my life, though. What about you?

...I wouldn't have expected.

[Cabanela...]

You always seem so firm, and chipper...like it's hard to get you down. It's really admirable, you know?

[destage]

...Yeah. I have faith in mine to...be okay, honestly. But...he was in that game with me, back home. He deserves better than this. So much better...

That's a surprise, right? But there's always weird stuff goin' on back home that I have to point out. Like, like, one time Iori was all..."Well, if there's a cockroach problem, Hibiki will handle it~!" And I told her "I may love all animals but cockroaches are obviously excluded."

[It's not the funniest joke she's ever told, but it still brings a smile to her face.]

I can play...oh, instead of me tellin' you, how about you guess? What kinda instrument do you think I play?

Oh my gosh. [That gets Sayaka to laugh a bit.] Honestly, I can hardly blame you, but insects of all kinds give me the creeps! Those ones are just more so...

[Sayaka thinks for a second, though, tilting her head a bit in thought.]

Hmm...my first thought is the guitar, actually? You seem like the sort of casual person who'd play it!

I dunno what goddess' are like or anything but she looks pretty prime and proper, so if they're anything like that, I'm going to just say I agree.

[ He does have a feeling Repede might like her, but he supposes he can't really be sure.

... He snorts when she mentions the whole naming of dogs by 'Duke'. ]

Why do you it's so popular? Is it just a current trend or something?

...Yeah. I imagine it's not.

[And yet she said it anyway. Go her, the master of tact. She'll nod her head in agreement at that, though, until the end...until something happens. There's a lot of different ways someone could go about murdering someone, and she hates thinking like that.

...So she won't. Sayaka sighs a bit.]

You'll get no disagreement, honestly. If we had more luck with finding stuff, I'd say that our time was being used wisely, but...I have to wonder if they're getting crafty, now. They obviously have more access to the place than we do, right? So if they make us restless...

[Who knows what'll happen? Maybe someone'll be shoved in the incinerator.]

...We've already got two of them down, though. He just...seems so happy, every time they die. Like they're the intended targets of this, and we're just...here for the sake of it.

Right, right? Maybe a cute ladybug or butterfly'd be fine, but it's not like I'm gonna go around collectin' flies and worms and cockroaches.

[Hibiki blinks at Sayaka's answer before breaking into a big grin.]

That's amazin'! You figured it out in one guess! I really wanted to play somethin' fun and loud. I feel sorry for anyone who was around when I was just startin' to learn.

I think they're supposed to be prim and proper, anyway. Like ya just want to do everythin' they say and worship them. I've never met one, but they're probably real.

[More real than Terumi being Susanoo. It's a good thing she never spoke to him, she'd have called him a fake and a liar every time they met.]

Maybe! It's more of an American thing...ah, that's a different country...to name 'em after titles. Like a cat named Duchess! It's sorta cute!

[bloodbiter]

I think it would be best to begin with methods to fend off someone who begins attacking you, rather than initiating combat yourself. Self defense tactics, and the like.

[heritrix]

Ah, good idea. [She shifts a bit, looking at the canvases and various supplies laid out in the room.] These types of paints aren't the kind you'd see used by professional interior decorators, but they should still do the job.

[destage]

Exactly! Butterflies are the best, though, if you want me to be honest...but ladybugs are cute, too. I wonder if it's true that if one lands on you of it's own accord, you're blessed with luck...

[...Ohhhhh oh oh oh, Sayaka looks positively delighted when Hibiki says that--she giggles a bit before beaming right at her.]

Well, of course I found it out! I can read minds, you know? [Grin!] It's okay, though, I'm sure they understood! We all were beginners at one point. If they do hold it against you, I'd like to see them play it as great as you.

It looks like a diabetic wonderland, right? [Regarding the cover art there, which she laughs at as it's set aside.] Even I wouldn't be able to walk through such a place unscathed; I'd definitely give in to temptation and have a bite along the way.

[And getting a look at the cute playing pieces:] Ah, how cute! They're little gingerbread men.

I love 'em! They're always so gentle, and the way they move through the air isn't anythin' like a bird. And I'm sure ladybugs are all kinds of good luck. They don't eat leaves, so they're great for gardens!

[Hibiki thinks pneumonia is a chemical, but she can remember what every insect eats. But now she's looking surprised at Sayaka.]

Y-you can!? Have ya told anyone? The next time there's an incident, you can totally read our minds to find out who did it!

[She can't handle talking about the guitar now that she momentarily thinks Sayaka has superpowers.]

I guess ya could call it that! [It's so cynical she can't help but laugh nervously.] Hmm...but don't ya think bugs would just land in everythin'? Or do you think bugs are made of candy, too? Like little rock candy beetles.

[Her expression briefly reads as "aww, cute" as she looks for a place to put the board. She eventually decides to put it on her bed. The sheets are clean and the mattress isn't very fluffy, so they should be able to play a game sitting there if they don't bounce around too much.]

Have you played it before, Rin?

[At this, Rin laughs lightly and shakes her head.]

No way. I wouldn't be able to deal with the headache. [She looks back up at Elda from where she is on the landing.] They're the memories of a certain person I summoned to fight by my side. It happens sometimes. As a spirit, he had no physical body, so I provided mana for him to stay in this world. When a connection like that is made between two people, sometimes other things pass through, like memories.

[heritrix]

No, this will be my first time, but the directions look simple.

[She's reading them on the back of the box. Ah, they're moving to the bed then? Rin will claim the spot at the foot then, folding her legs beneath her. She's calling the red piece, of course, setting that on the board.]

Hey, see all the characters on the board? They look like they're made of candy, too. Maybe the bugs and even the animals are as well, if that's the case.

[destage]

I just like how gorgeous they are...have you ever seen a swallowtail butterfly, Hibiki? I've seen them online once, but they're just the most beautiful things I've ever seen...

[...oh no, she almost feels bad to tell her now, but...]

Just kidding! I just have good intuitions. ...Honestly, I don't know if I've been doing a good enough job during the trials, but I could probably stand to tune 'em a little more in that direction. It'd help us a lot...

Swallowtails are so pretty! I could follow one for hours...if I ever met one. In Okinawa, there are a lot of paper kite butterflies! They're only black and white, but they look so delicate...they're my fave!

[At least that isn't enough to make her deflate? Their entire conversation so far has been good, and she's glad to see Sayaka outside of her room.]

I guess that'd make things too easy, huh? But we're still doin' alright! No one's gotten the best of us yet, so you could even say we're undefeated!

[Hibiki sits cross-legged near the pillows, then!]

That'd be a nice world to live in. Probably a nicer one than whatever it looks like outside of the buildin'.

[She's spoken about it with Tarrlok, and the more she thinks about it, the easier it is to just assume this entire world is gross.]

I'll be this one, okay? [Unsurprisingly, she picks the blue gingerbread kid. After a second, she grabs the red one, too, and sets them both at start.] I think alligators would be made of watermelon icing and fondant...with white chocolate teeth.

[heritrix]

[This is just a spar, so Rin's not going all out. When she feels her arm get grabbed, she opts not to try to get away. Instead she slides her feet, trying to minimize the brunt of that kick as best as she can while attempting to trip Adelina up as well.]

Nice, Adelina! You have quick reactions.

[If her arm is grabbed, she'll jerk it up suddenly in the hopes Adelina will hold on as well, for a light palm strike just below her chest. As a strategist, Adelina might note her motions are quick and comfortable in this close proximity.]

[Rin nods. Blue suits Hibiki, of course!] So would dogs and cats have fur made out of cotton candy?

Right. I was hoping that the workshop would have some paint that's actually better-suited for painting walls, but alas. [And he says "alas" with a bit of a dramatic flair.] If these work, then that's fine. II don't plan to make a permanent home out of that room, anyway.

[He's making it his, but...in the end, it's temporary.]
