WEEK 6.

WEEK 6 You've lost a lot of people this week, haven't you? Katniss Everdeen and Weiss Schnee were killed for rule violations, while Chie Hori and Frank Archer were murdered by Mikoto Suoh and Yuuki Terumi. It doesn't really matter how they died, though, does it? After all, they're dead now and the only thing you can do is keep moving forward. It seems like there's no end in sight. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Changes were promised to you this week; while Sunday dawns seeming no different from the previous weeks, it seems one change is going to remain a constant - namely, a new floor has been opened up to you. Whether this is a promising sign or not is something that you're going to need to decide for yourself. The important thing, for now, is that you continue to do well. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 19

[Estelle is a bygones kind of person. She knows she did wrong, but it's at the point where it no longer bothers her. It's a strange kind of resilience she has, really...]

It technically was true. We just found a way to control my powers so it was no longer harming myself or the world.

I still don't understand how one girl threatens a whole world. The world's a lot bigger than any one person.

Ah, I see. Well, it's certainly something you pull off very well--they must keep you very busy, then, for you to pull such things off.

[Sayaka doesn't necessarily smile at that--the smile she does give, after he gives her confirmation, feels...really, really forced. Almost forcibly sickening, and she's kind of lowkey vibrating like hell while she walks over another part of the dojo to grab some mats.]

You don't have to worry about that. I just have some...stress to get out, really. I'll do anything I can not to disturb you, though, promise!

[Just let her get these mats set up, this'll take a bit...]

[ Is that paint dry? Either way, she's hovering one of her nails closer, as if she were going to touch it??? that isn't smart but ok. ]

I'm not sure there's a god that'll answer that, here? I guess you could ask that Milla woman.

[So yesterday sure was something. Her dream left her with a lot of conflicted feelings when she woke up, and the dream within a dream with a heaviness in her chest, and tears on her face.

But the dream wasn't without its good excitements, too. Rin spent most of Sunday in the art studio, working on her painting from last week, but she did a little artwork on herself as well. Thanks to a permanent red marker, this symbol has been emblazoned onto the back of Rin's right hand, and will be there all week. Focusing on the positives like that, even with the foreboding atmosphere hanging in the air, Rin started feeling more like her energetic self again.

It was a marked changed after Alena's execution in the foyer. After a short but calm conversation with Hilda, she retreated to Room 14 for the rest of the night. It might be a result of that, then, which sees Rin in the kitchen bright and early not long after it opens. Falling short of an apocalyptic event, this is the first time she's actually gone to breakfast since they awoke here all those weeks ago. She looks more awake, too, when she wanders in than she usually does when she stops in to make a morning up of tea.

Rin takes her breakfast to eat in the dining room, sitting across from the secrets wall and enjoying her food. But even after eating, empty plate slid away from her, she's content to stay a little longer. If you pass her by or come to sit too, she might ask you a question.]

Do you have siblings?

[Later in the day, she'll briefly hit up the art studio again, to pick up her painting. She'd just finished it when they were told to meet at the foyer, so it should be dry now. This is what she gets for putting it on a canvas, tbh, she should have just stuck to a sketch. Time to carry it down four flights of stairs I guess, and back to Room 14!]

...I don't think that's callous. If you can live for yourself, that's good, but if you can live for them too, that's even better. It's certainly not wrong to want that, you know?

[Sayaka smiles when she says that.]

For your sake--your own, I mean--I hope that they'll be well, Ushiromiya-san. Your son will be happy to have his mother back in his life, I'm sure of it!

[...That's adorable, what the hell--Sayaka walks up to give Ditty some petting, despite the apparent gooeyness of the new friend. He's so fuckin' cute?]

No, I haven't yet! He's so cute...it's so nice to meet you, Ditty-san. I bet Elda's been taking good care of you, hasn't she, little guy?

[Who's a cute gooey friend, yes you are, yes you are--]

[...Ah, that...just causes her to start vibrating, a bit. She regrets the fact she didn't bring those shades with her, because her smile is very, very forced.]

...I was, yeah. She may have been one of the people who ran this, but...I don't know. She reminded me of me, but...the 'me' before I came here.

Alright, looks like we take turns and then throw the dice. Based on the numbers of dice, that's how far we get, and then there's these slips of paper that you pick up after you're finished moving your piece. There's some spots on the game board that can send you straight to jail or give bonuses if you're that lucky.

You got everything?

[perpend]

That's right. And it usually comes with some sort of spicy maple sauce, or something like that.

Faaar from the only thing on the menu, though. They have baked chicken, roast chicken... Yakitori... Ahh, it's a good joint!

[ That...sounds like it was definitely a thing. In the sense of 'not being able to catch a break', and that's putting it lightly, because that's certainly a lot. There's a lot to think about--first, there's the whole sealing off thing and then there was the fact that she's dead.

Because she was in a similar situation like this and acted...

Yuri's considering his words carefully here. ]

Yeah, I can see why that wouldn't make any sense at all. You'd think you'd want to try to get out of there instead of seal yourself right in.

...But, alright. I think I understand. You don't need to elaborate on that or anything, since I figure it's a lot you're telling me in the first place.

Oh, and Sayaka?

[ He is gooey and has a consistently not unlike something between jelly and play-dough? But he doesn't really leave a slime residue. Which is interesting. His texture becomes soft as Sayaka is petting him, changing from the star to the more amorphous blob state that it's base form. ]

Well, I mean, I've been trying to. Surprisingly enough the guy tends to like eating nuts and ruffage.

[ Which is... weird, but whatever. He's smiling now, the petting is nice and your hair is... interesting! ]

Guess it's also something to do too.

[ Hmm... ]

You need any help carrying some of those around?

[ If he's going to like, take more than just two things of paint anyway. He figures he'd ask since it'd decrease the amounts of trips. ]

...It really is. It's...yeah.

[It definitely is a lot. It's a lot of weight that's been on her mind and shoulders, that's she's carrying around. In a sense, she doesn't even know why she's telling him this--why she's telling anyone, really. It makes her suspect, doesn't it?

...It should. She knows it should, just like the secret should have, just like the possibility of being Chitoge's murderer should've--]

...Yes, Yuri-san?

[She's not quite looking up--she didn't know when her gaze averted, really, but it was somewhere in those thoughts, and it'll...stay that way, for a bit.]

More or less, yes. It happened years ago; most people on the force are already aware of it.

But it would cause a big problem for you, wouldn't it?

[Sayaka smiles a bit at that. It's...actually kind of sweet, this little guy is all that's good in the world as far as she's concerned. All the world's good, in blob form.]

He's just like an animal in that sense. That makes sense--it at least means he's easy to feed and take care of.

[...Ah, that's right, though.]

I don't suppose you have time now, Elda? I meant to get back to you yesterday, but...well... [...Everything kind of happened, and her worst fear was confirmed, and she kind of lowkey vibrates a bit before forcing herself to settle.] Anyway, you said you wanted to learn to cook something, right?

[matchbreaker]

Sayaka, when do I not have time for you?

[ In fact, do you want to hold Ditty? She'll offer it over to her, smiling a little in spite of herself. She can sense the mood isn't the best, but... ]

[matchbreaker]

You mean mine? No, we'll be able to handle it. My Henry is a little slouch, but he's no incompetent. We'll have to erase the memories of everyone in Shihaba, but that's doable.

[ Mostly. ]

You know, that would make the trip all the easier. So if you're up for it, yes.

[He's got several things of black and red paint, along with some brushes and whatnot. It would definitely be a multiple trip deal if he couldn't find a box or something to carry them in on his own.

He starts doling out a pile for each of them.]

But yes, that is how I see it. Any type of distraction is warmly welcomed at this point.

Ahh, scrambled eggs are fantastic.

I like omelettes, too, but I can never make them, I have to go to the diner for that.
