Week 7.

WEEK 7 Orihime Inoue, Estellise Sidos Heurassein, and Kirei Kotomine all died this past week. One of your Coordinators died as well, leaving you with a new face but still no end to this. Several of you are finding yourselves at a crossroads: either keep moving forward, or accept the inevitability of fate. It's your own choice, your own decision; no one's going to make it for you. Over half of you are gone now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, a new floor has been opened to you; unfortunately, either this is a particularly strange reward or Jericho is starting to get downright sarcastic. Perhaps there's something in it for you despite the setup; who knows, though there's really only one way to find out. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 16

[ ... Also, dogs can be reliable enough to join you in battle, perform artes, and cook! Or maybe that's in Vesperia land. ]

And they're pretty reliable. You can count on them in a pinch.

There's practically no downsides to having one around.

[ Unless you count having to 'take care of' a pet as one. ]

Heh. I can't even imagine being worried about that sort of thing.

[ That said, messing around like this is one way to get back at their situation.

He's going to go for something purple (he plans on going for something like an electric blue right after because he does what he wants.) ]

I was thinking of mostly just doodling some animals and maybe adding some colorful phrases. Making stuff up as I go seems to end up with the best kinds of results.

That sounds useful. [RIN...] With the right tweaks, I bet you could make it like having your own personal butler.

[ she nods, and then she'll get to work, sitting cross-legged here on the counter. She pulls out a red pen and pretty quickly produces this off the easy ones ]

Allergies... huh...

Huh. I guess everyone saw more in her than I did, then...? I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised.

[matchbreaker]

[ Elda is around most of the day in the Foyer, actually, sketching things. People, objects in the room, Ditty (who is also there) and writing down some notes depending on when you run into her. The Silph Scope she used to see ghosts is also next to her on the couch. Basically, she's around?

But then... well, tonight, she's going to be in her room pretty early (so like... when it's actually "night" at 10PM, but that's because she's got a planned night here with Sayaka. She's cleaned up the room of a lot of her vending stuff, but it still uh. It's going to look like a thing, to be sure. ]

[evilfrenzy]

By all means, try to show me.

[And with that, he'll beckon Yuri forward just like last time. Let's do this thing.]

[hesperos]

[ Was that another pun in there-- ]

Give it some time. I need a bit of paws so I can come up with something good, if you know what I mean.

[ That was. Really bad, wow. ]

Elda's Room

[Well, Sayaka's a girl of her word--she's managed to get some stuff from both her room, the kitchen (just in the nick of time) and the infirmary, and with a little bit of packing in place, she'll come a knocking on the door when night time hits.

...She probably looks odd as hell with a pillow that's got quite a few things and a teapot in the hallway, but. You know. If it works, it works.]

Elda?

[hesperos]

I guess I will.

[ He'll lean against the counter. Hmm...he thinks of something simple to talk about since they're here. ]

So, you look like you're having a good morning, or am I wrong?

[evilfrenzy]

[Oh. Well, Rideaux certainly wasn't expecting that sort of reaction. He gives Susan a Look, though it's more out of confusion than anything.]

That is my intention. Though I have to say, I didn't expect to see such a visceral reaction. [...] You would tell me if they contained some sort of toxin, yes?

[He doesn't recognize these flowers, obviously.]

[Briefly, her fingers slow in their work there. Elda offered that? Rin's smile doesn't break. With all of her hang-ups, she decided to embrace her feelings whole-heartedly.

She picks up the pace again, sliding a thin strand of Sayaka's hair to the center of the braid. It's short, so it'll be done fairly quickly.]

Even in my world, the ability to do would be considered a miracle. A True Magic we couldn't hope to replicate, even if I know it can be done.

It still boggles me these people can pull it off well enough to bring us here. I definitely plan to steal the secret before I escape.

[evilfrenzy]

...What? Well, yes, it most certainly is. Can you elaborate...?

[He...takes a seat across from her, since he figures this might turn into quite the conversation.]

[hesperos]

That...looks like an interesting choice, I guess?

[ He didn't know what he was expecting. ]

Well, since we're all set, might as well start. How about something like "Long, long time ago, in a world filled with fantasy, and dragons, there was a kingdom that thrived on trade and all that good crap. Here, in that kingdom, is where the journey of our two heroes start"?

...Is this one of those days where you wake up and hate everything?

You bet I will!

[ Let's rock and roll!

Yuri's going to break into a run after that beckoning, coming forth and aiming with his left fist towards the man's stomach in an attempt to land a hit as well as to start them off. ]

What are the cards for?

[Oh. He didn't expect Sayaka to actually answer him. Good to keep in mind, at least.

He picks up a bottle of standard sleep aids, rather than the super strong stuff.]

If you think about it, it is very similar to last week's incentive. So if you considered last week's incentive, then considering this week's becomes all the more easier. We've all been in this high-tension environment for well over a month now. Of course people are going to start building relationships. Some, more strongly than others.

[He glances Sayaka's way as he says that, handing her the pill bottle so she can take however many she needs. He'll be counting, though.]

Even the most stalwart resisters of incentives are bound to be tempted by a way out without losing what they've built here.

[If she knew how to properly care for one, man, she'd be all over it, honestly.]

If I knew how to properly care for one, I'd get one in a heartbeat. I'd need to make sure I have a steady job, so I can make sure they're well taken care of and don't get sick...

But...you know, I'd love to have that chance. There really are no downsides. Just a friend, there for you through thick and thin.

[He might have already gone at it with a few people by the time Rin shows up.]

[ Well, that's...certainly a thing. He'll be looking on over to see what's going on with her here. ]

Wow. Where'd you get the idea to try this out?

[destage]

...If you do, and there's a way...do you think I could ask for your assistance in the matter?

[Sayaka bites her lip a bit.]

I don't know what you would need in return, but...Alex wants to see her family, and if all else fails, I...don't want to take that from her. I just...I don't want to leave either of them alone, you know?

[It's a hard decision to make, really, between the woman who's become her mother figure and the girl who's...well, become her girlfriend. It's a Lot.]

I-If it's at all possible, of course.

[ Well, he's peering his head in now when he spots someone in here. It kind of makes him a bit curious, and so he'll come a bit closer to get a better look. Don't mind him. ]

Those friends of yours?

[hesperos]

[ Sure--there's certainly a lot up there too. ]

Yeah, something like that. I thought it'd be a good idea to make things a little messy and a pain to clean up. Others thought to join along because it was a great idea.
