Week 7.

WEEK 7 Orihime Inoue, Estellise Sidos Heurassein, and Kirei Kotomine all died this past week. One of your Coordinators died as well, leaving you with a new face but still no end to this. Several of you are finding yourselves at a crossroads: either keep moving forward, or accept the inevitability of fate. It's your own choice, your own decision; no one's going to make it for you. Over half of you are gone now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, a new floor has been opened to you; unfortunately, either this is a particularly strange reward or Jericho is starting to get downright sarcastic. Perhaps there's something in it for you despite the setup; who knows, though there's really only one way to find out. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 16

I didn't consider last week's, honestly. Naegi-kun's suffered enough at the school, but...I wasn't going to kill someone for him.

[She'll take the pill bottle, then--she only takes two, even if she doesn't eat them right away. She'll...deal with these later. She doesn't really look up, but she hands him back the bottle.]

...Honestly, it's not even enough. Especially when it's only for one person. [...] I realize it's probably terrible to say that, but...somehow, that's an even crueler choice than leaving someone you know to die.

[It is way too early to be awake and Rin is stumbling in like a zombie for her morning cup of tea. The sudden string of cursing gets a slow blink out of her.]

I didn't realize we'd set out to sea. [Rin yawns blandly. Where are the teacups?] Good morning to you too, sailor.

Maybe you can learn how to take care of one.

[ That's what he thinks. Or, hmm... ]

I could help by giving a few tips--maybe by writing them down for you or something to keep in mind if you ever want to seriously consider it.

[Something struck her as strange about the day, around mid-afternoon. It's not until close to evening that she's able to put a finger on what it was, however. It's a big hospital, isn't it? She might be mistaken, but...

Well, since she's in the dorms anyways, it can't hurt to check. Finding her way to Adelina's room Rin raps at the door, not really expecting a response.]

[Sayaka's look immediately brightens, and she seems utterly on board for this.]

That'd be so wonderful! If you have the time for it, of course!

A western breakfast...I see. I suppose it's possible the place you live at in your world has an equivalent in mine.

[Not that...similarities in breakfast food is a good base to make a guess]

We've had more access to nature as of late, now that we have begun speaking with our neighboring country Rieze Maxia again. But for the most part, the citizens of Elympios have learned to live without it.

Yeah, I imagine not many hypothetical killers are going to expect you to fight back as hard as I just saw you going. And since we don't have access to magic here, it's a good thing that combat experience cannot be turned off so easily.

[He hesitates there for a moment, before he speaks up again.]

[He glances at it, and...]

Unfortunately, it is not.

It's not just being around it, I think? Maybe it is more like a wall.

[So a similar start, is it... Rideaux smirks. Things have changed since their first sparring match, and Rideaux has been able to get his reflexes back up to snuff. Rather than jumping away, this time he waits for Yuri to get close enough before dropping down below the punch and swinging his leg out in an attempt to knock Yuri off his feet.]

[He takes the bottle back while holding back that trademark bitter smirk of his. Since Sayaka brought up the incentive, he's here to be Real about it.]

So what you're saying is, you've found yourself tempted but don't like the added pressure of choosing favorites. There is a simple solution to that then, isn't there?

That sounds like an absolute boon...honestly, it'd be wonderful to not have to worry about everything getting messed up when you can control everything like that.

[...This is clearly the hour of being Utterly Real, so. Sayaka looks up with a bit of a shake of the head.]

...Well, technically there's two that one could probably think of. I already asked about one and...received a rather colorful reply in response. [Pro-tip: do not ask Hilda about this shit, the woman will straight up eviscerate you on paper.] And the other would require far too much coordination, wouldn't it? If multiple people acted at once, in tandem.

[Rideaux's in the process of angrily attempting to salvage these eggs when Rin comes in. He grumbles something under his breath, but manages to recompose himself.]

Good morning. My apologies, there seemed to be a bit of trouble on deck.

[He'll play along, at least. But when he turns to Rin...wow.]

You look like something the cat dragged in. [No filter this morning, it seems.] Have a rough sleep?

[She'll be here all day, this is Fine.]

Guess that's one good thing--even if you guys are accustomed to living without that stuff, it sounds like a big pain.

[ Also, Yuri is really going to let Rideaux keep those flowers. He seems to like them well enough, and it can be technically like a gift. That said... ]

You know, I just remembered I got a bunch of stuff yesterday myself. You wanna come with me for a bit on the way back to see if I got anything of yours?

[It takes her a few minutes, but there's a call from the other side of the door. Her tone isn't the sure and certain sound it normally is; it sounds flat, weakened somehow.]

Who is it?

We just hadn't spoken in a couple days.

[Not since that weird night, with pillow fights and confessions.]
