Week 7.

WEEK 7 Orihime Inoue, Estellise Sidos Heurassein, and Kirei Kotomine all died this past week. One of your Coordinators died as well, leaving you with a new face but still no end to this. Several of you are finding yourselves at a crossroads: either keep moving forward, or accept the inevitability of fate. It's your own choice, your own decision; no one's going to make it for you. Over half of you are gone now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, a new floor has been opened to you; unfortunately, either this is a particularly strange reward or Jericho is starting to get downright sarcastic. Perhaps there's something in it for you despite the setup; who knows, though there's really only one way to find out. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 16

[ She keeps holding the girl, gently stroking her back. ]

People can live past the worst day of their lives. Even someone who has lost everything, for that person... maybe their strength is found with someone new, or something new. Maybe it'll take years, or maybe it'll be instant. Who can say, I can't. But everything, everything is subject to time. Nothing, not even pain, can truly last unchanging forever.

[bloodbiter]

[She shakes her head, but there's no energy behind it. She just kind of leans until her head is braced on Elda's shoulder.]

It should have been me.

[matchbreaker]

Don't say that.

[ That's her first response, one hand snaking up the back of the girl's body to get towards stroking her hair a little. ]

I know the instinct, but please don't say that.

[bloodbiter]

No, that's not... [A breath.] If it were me, she never would have failed. She never would have waited so long, she...

[She reaches up to wipe a tear from her face.]

If it were me, I would be fine, and so would she.

[matchbreaker]

You can't know that, Adelina. You truly, honestly, cannot.

[bloodbiter]

[It's good advice. Later, it'll make perfect sense. But now, her hands tense and clench together.]

She was a skilled warrior for years before I was. She would have never been stuck in a simple cave for an entire week!

[ there's no need to push the statement now. What matters is that Adelina heard it, and that she can remember it later. The main thing that matters now is being here, and she knows it. ]

[ Yuri has one of his grins on his face, evidently enjoying himself. ]

"Looks like we'll get a chance to get some good practice in at least, right?"

[ That's good. Yuri will finish his tea around this time. ]

[He definitely writes only one word down, but when it gets translated it becomes 'poor-quality coffee that has been prepared badly'.]

[ because... they're friends, and Aligula really does adore her, for better or for worse. ]

[ A totally great friend...? Holy shit, somehow that surprises her a little, and the vampire blinks once, and then twice. Ditty seems to find this amusing, transforming into a heart shape, like the ones Blue vocally ended her sentences with. ]

Good jooob, you solved my crossword puzzle! [ A few hearty claps. ] I was gonna let whoever won lick the bowl, but you don't eat that stuff, sooo...

... You know, you're decidedly not human. Your blood might not even be compatible with me...

[ However, from the way she blushes with exposed fangs? Aligula's overflowing with youth, the precise opposite of her blood affinity. But she can't smell or taste those here anyway, right? And what would the blood of someone five times her age be like? Would that surpass personality as a factor? ]

"Yeah, for you! You know my sword arm's lacking!"

[ Hmmm how can she represent something else here... Oh! Here we go. This sort of Y shaped piece, that can be a slingshot. She moves it over next to "bartlebee" ]

[ Oh no, a heart... Aligula's pinching him, she loves this. ]

So you really do want to! [ that's gay. Aligula drums her fingers on the counter, then laces them together. She's not wearing her gloves because, you know, cooking... so, hm... ] Do you have to take it from the neck, or can I just give you my wrist or something?

Oh please! [ Her cheeks color, but her mood shifts at least visibly, with her intending to push Aligula away from her a little by way of pushing on the mask. ] As if that could happen!

I-- did not say that. [ But despite that and her blush growing a little, she runs a nail over her own neck, considering. Susan asked the same thing... ] ... Neck would be safer and cleaner all things considered. It's what I am used to and I can promise that the wounds would heal instantly.

Hmm. She twiddles her thumbs, then turns to her. Okay!! ]

Right, right~! It has about as much of a chance of happening as, like, the dead coming back to life, right?
