Week 7.

WEEK 7 Orihime Inoue, Estellise Sidos Heurassein, and Kirei Kotomine all died this past week. One of your Coordinators died as well, leaving you with a new face but still no end to this. Several of you are finding yourselves at a crossroads: either keep moving forward, or accept the inevitability of fate. It's your own choice, your own decision; no one's going to make it for you. Over half of you are gone now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, a new floor has been opened to you; unfortunately, either this is a particularly strange reward or Jericho is starting to get downright sarcastic. Perhaps there's something in it for you despite the setup; who knows, though there's really only one way to find out. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 16

I'm...I'm sure that they could be fine, you know? They had an extra week on us, before everything gets started.

As long as they're just steaming mad and not sending anything after us, I think that'll be a worthwhile exchange. It's not like this was written in the rules or anything, you know?

[Sayaka smirks a bit, oozing confidence that isn't forced for once.]

I'd personally love it if we could get a greenhouse around here...it'd probably be a bit of work to take care of, but...I don't know. Those plants would be something else that's alive around here, you know?

MEETING

[welp. he's still having some misgivings about his role as leader here, but... you know. Meetings. He can do meetings. Notices go up in the same places, then.]

So, I know we've met our new friend in the new library, but is there anything else of note that people have uncovered?

Oh, yes. If we keep trying to pull out books, I'm certain we'll find a nice hidden passage in one of them. Maybe it'll lead to something useful, like Jericho-san's room.

[ You know, she had been holding this back for the meeting and all but now... huh, the mood's a little different so it takes her a minute for the big reveal, playing with Ditty on the table.

[--WAIT, WHAT. Hi, Elda, Sayaka practically jolts a bit at that.]

What? How--who are they? Are they anyone we can recognize?

Well, because they're dead and they're lingering about? There's several I've seen already, but the big stand outs I'd say would be Sigrun, Green, the bubblegum princess, the priest and... Kimblee.

[ She might be showboating a little, but even she can be more gentle throwing out that last one.

Oh god, that's...that's...hang on, she both looks utterly thrown and kind of...weird? Like she's not sure if she's happy or sad about this?]

[What's the nicest, most emotionally adjusted way of saying 'I think I'll legit cry if I see some people again?'? Sayaka has no clue, but...]

I...I am happy to hear that, and the fact that they still exist. I just...it's kind of unbelievable, you know?

Well! Maybe a little, but then ghosts are sort of normal when people die under traumatic circumstances or with lingering regrets.

I'm just glad I finally found 'em! Still working out if there's a way we can talk to them though, if anyone's got any suggestions. Oh, I guess Kimblee and Sigrun are on okay terms now.

[ Which is. Weird. But ok. ]

[For a moment Kyrie says nothing. This is...unexpected. Ghosts? In this place? What other crazy stuff is going to exist here? Is there no limit?]

Were they trying to get in contact with you?

No, they didn't notice me at all. Which I guess means either they can't or decided not to bother: I did sort of tell that Blue girl and Kimblee to haunt me.

[ Yuri's listening, and unsurprisingly he rolls his eyes. Nothing has changed in regards of his opinion of Jericho, nor would it ever.

[This is indeed a satisfying click! Eyes lighting up, Rin shoots Sayaka a victorious grin and pushes the door open.]

Mmhm! Sigrun and Kimblee seemed to be playing around together and the princess seems naturally skittish of your priest.

[ Which... again, that's sort of. Expected. ]

It's great, right? Means that their souls are still around!

[Mmm. Rin listens to Elda's response to Kyrie down there as well and...]

It's bizarre. [Rin says that very plainly, sipping at a cup of tea.] If they're ghosts, they're not typical ones.

Because they still seem to be people to a much greater extent? They had their normal forms, just not... normally visible. Also you can't touch them.
