Week 7.
Orihime Inoue, Estellise Sidos Heurassein, and Kirei Kotomine all died this past week. One of your Coordinators died as well, leaving you with a new face but still no end to this. Several of you are finding yourselves at a crossroads: either keep moving forward, or accept the inevitability of fate. It's your own choice, your own decision; no one's going to make it for you. Over half of you are gone now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, a new floor has been opened to you; unfortunately, either this is a particularly strange reward or Jericho is starting to get downright sarcastic. Perhaps there's something in it for you despite the setup; who knows, though there's really only one way to find out. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week seven of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Coordinators, you can do so through private meetings with Hilda!]

...Do you want to come in?
no subject
[She wants to make sure Adelina is absolutely comfortable with this, after all.]
no subject
[But she moves back from the door anyways to give Sayaka room to enter.]
no subject
[Sayaka will bow her head a bit and step inside with a smile!]
no subject
[She's not certain she deserves that kind of kindness right now, but she closes the door regardless and moves to sit down on her bed, setting the plate beside her. Her gaze is directed at the floor, still, and she pauses; she isn't certain what to say here, or how to break this silence.]
no subject
It's no trouble. If there's anything you'd like to speak of...feel free to, okay? Don't feel forced to. I'm here for you.
[It's at Adelina's pace. Sayaka has no desire to pry too much, but...if the girl wants to tell her something random, or about what's bugging her, either way is fine.]
no subject
I don't know what to do.
[She doesn't give context just yet, but she sounds lost.]
no subject
...You should keep going forward, no matter what. That's...the most I can say to that. But...did something happen?
no subject
Before I came here, I was... searching for something incredibly important. I found it's location, so I had been assuming that the situation I needed it for had been resolved.
[There's a real effort to keep her voice calm, but she can't manage it. Not now. There's a thick quality to her tone, like she's on the verge of tears again.]
But - I was too late. I found it, but I was too late. We were moments away from what we sought, and I made such a stupid mistake, and now...
no subject
[Oh, god. She doesn't know much, but...if it's that important, someone's life had to have been hanging in the balance...and...]
Adelina-san, I'm so sorry. That sounds so horrible...to have everything you worked for get lost to a simple mistake like that, it's wretched. You don't deserve that at all, after all of the hard work you must have put into that...
no subject
[There's a low, bitter noise of frustration as she reaches up to rub at her eyes frantically. With that and the words coming out of her mouth, it's a more open form of vulnerability than she's shown here before.]
no subject
[She remembers Adelina's secret. She at least can recall that much, even as horror settles onto her face at the realization.
Fuck. That's...Sayaka looks heartbroken for Adelina, standing up and walking over to just...put a hand on her shoulder.]
Adelina-san...

I thought I could at least do this. I thought I had changed, and I could at least protect one person. But nothing has changed. I'm just the same weak and inept person I've always been, and now an entire country will wait for me to lead it because the rightful heir to the throne is...
[She drags in a shallow breath, letting one of her hands rise from the bed to place it solidly over her mouth in some attempt to hold back whatever emotion she's feeling.]
Sorry, I'm - sorry. I shouldn't...
no subject
[Girl, you deserved so much better. And even Sayaka can say this firmly.]
You're...allowed to be weak, here, if only for a time. Let yourself have this moment of weakness. I know I can't say anything...to magically make this all better, for you. Because something like this, it's the kind of thing that's...all consuming.
[Sayaka's words are soft.]
Please, Adelina-san. Let it out. It isn't good to bottle things up like this...I of all people would know that.
no subject
[She sucks in a breath, trying to steel herself. She can't, she...]
It was too late to save her, but with what I found, it won't be too late to save other people. What happened to her has happened to hundreds of thousands of people before we were even born, and now... It wasn't impressive or difficult, I just kept getting incredibly lucky, but that doesn't change the fact that everyone is going to look at me like I'm a hero, and I can't - I can't let them down. Not the way I let her down.
