Week 7.

WEEK 7 Orihime Inoue, Estellise Sidos Heurassein, and Kirei Kotomine all died this past week. One of your Coordinators died as well, leaving you with a new face but still no end to this. Several of you are finding yourselves at a crossroads: either keep moving forward, or accept the inevitability of fate. It's your own choice, your own decision; no one's going to make it for you. Over half of you are gone now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, a new floor has been opened to you; unfortunately, either this is a particularly strange reward or Jericho is starting to get downright sarcastic. Perhaps there's something in it for you despite the setup; who knows, though there's really only one way to find out. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 16

...You could be right. Full of their secrets, maybe knowledge about the other instances of this... "exercise" of theirs.

...I hope not. It's a lot of books.

It is.

...It makes me wonder why they've left these here, no mater what their actual intent is. If they really are hiding something important in these, it must be because they know none of us can even recognize the alphabet.

[Didn't Aligula find notes on Kimblee she could read? It doesn't make any sense.]

It's like they're just making fun of us.

Do you think it's a different language altogether? Maybe it could be a code.

It could be. Maybe a code would explain why its not readable. Maybe it was done deliberately.

[He looks thoughtful.]

There's one way to test this-- if we had one of the people here who don't speak English try and write something in their native language.

Did any of them ever...I think Hibiki might have sent out invitations once? I'm sure she only speaks Japanese, really.

....I think you're right.

She and Sayaka both strike me as monolingual. They might know a little English? But probably not nearly enough to hold a conversation.

Probably. I think they teach it a lot in schools, abroad, but that doesn't mean much. I had to take French in school when I was their age, and I couldn't say anything in it now.

By rights we shouldn't be able to talk to them at all... [it's weird to think about]

...I wonder what it is about this place. Something the Coordinators are doing, perhaps?

I suppose. It's just as useful for them as for us, not to have to translate all their rules and incentives into three different languages every single time. I wonder if it's something in this place, or something they've done to us...

It could very well be either, couldn't it?

...It's unsettling, either way. What else could they possibly have done to us?

It could be anything, in all the time it must have taken to gather us all up. I'd thought we were drugged when we first woke up, but lately...Alena and Hilda seem to be able to keep people asleep on their own.

[perpend]

...It must be some sort of power of theirs. We've plenty of evidence that they're impossibly strong, even compared to the likes of Elda, who should be a match for them.
