trustfell | Week 7.

WEEK 7
Orihime Inoue, Estellise Sidos Heurassein, and Kirei Kotomine all died this past week. One of your Coordinators died as well, leaving you with a new face but still no end to this. Several of you are finding yourselves at a crossroads: either keep moving forward, or accept the inevitability of fate. It's your own choice, your own decision; no one's going to make it for you.

Over half of you are gone now.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Once again, a new floor has been opened to you; unfortunately, either this is a particularly strange reward or Jericho is starting to get downright sarcastic. Perhaps there's something in it for you despite the setup; who knows, though there's really only one way to find out.

I dunno about that. I might just forget and eat the whole thing.

[ Yuri rubs his nose one last time, but he's smiling. He's very much enjoying himself here, and let us say that they've settled in at the dining hall just because. Even after a spar, Yuri's still energetic to move from place to place. Lord help him after he downs all of this because of the sugar content...

When he hears that praise, his 'I'm a great cook' ego inflates. ]

Heh. I'll take the fact you're calling it a delicious mistake as another way of saying that it's about the best sundae you've ever tasted in your entire life.

[Rideaux nods, refusing to speak in the middle of another bite. He's had some decent cold treats of course, though they've tended to be more for special occasions. They're indulgences of the highest degree, after all. This, though...

Once he's done with that bite:]

I fear I will end up asking you for more of these in the future. That is why it is a mistake.

[Man, he's going to have to work out extra for this.]

Hey, that's a good thing.

[ There's always plenty of time to work it out, Rideaux. The Gym and dojo (as well as his sparring partner) isn't going anywhere anytime soon. There's also a bit of a pause on his end because even Yuri has even enough manners not to speak with his mouth full of food. ]

Just ask me whenever and I'll gladly whip up some for you. I don't get much of a chance to make this stuff for other people, you know.

[ The last time he did it was right after Estelle died. Welp. ]

Oh, dear- don't encourage me...

[He sighs at the possibilities, but at the same time he can't help but look at Yuri with an appreciative smile. It's one thing to have subordinates who will fetch anything he asks for (lest they regret it), but to have a friend who is willing to do these nice things for him...

He glances down at his sundae to root around for another spoonful, though the smile doesn't leave.]

I suppose I should consider myself honored. [...] I would like that, though. Thank you, Yuri,

[...Mmm. Perhaps he should treat Yuri to his own cooking sometime in return. A thought to put on the shelves for now.]

Too late.

[ There's a bit of a teasing tone in his voice, and he's going to be stuffing his face with more of the dessert because what else does anyone do with them. He doesn't think twice about what he's done -- the offering or making. Though, he's not entirely expecting to be thanked for it.

...Truthfully, he doesn't expect to be thanked much but just because he doesn't usually see the big deal in what he does most of the time. ]

Not a problem. If I can get someone else into being addicted [ a jest ] to sweets too I think I've accomplished something big.

You planned this all along. I can't believe I fell for it as hard as I did.

[He says it like he's been utterly betrayed, but he's not serious.

Once he's done with the next bite, he fishes his GHS back out of his pocket and powers it on.]

All right. Want to do this now?

No one ever sees it coming -- so don't worry, you're not the first.

[ Joking aside... Yuri will give a nod. ]

Yeah, I'm ready.

[ There's a reason why he hasn't finished his ice cream yet, though. Rideaux is right in that he's planning something ridiculous -- totally not an earlier replay of the nonsense he pulled, not at all. Actually, it is, and he's planning on flicking a bit of caramel at Rideaux's face at the right moment. ]

[YURI.....]

Good. Did you save the cherry like I asked? [He demonstrates his photo idea by scooping out some of the sundae with the cherry on top of it and holding it out.] I thought we could both have something like this in the shot.

[ Can't stop won't stop. ]

Yeah. What are we gonna do with it, put it on our heads or something?

[ Yuri is joking -- he figures it'll probably be just holding it out like it is now... or something else. He really knows nada about picture-taking conventions.

He'll take the cherry out with the hand he is not planning on tossing caramel with. ]

[Wow.]

Yes, Yuri. We are going to become one with the sundaes. It will make for a truly artistic photograph.

[But that aside, he scoots closer to Yuri so he can frame the photo. He's got his spoonful of sundae ready in his free hand and he figures Yuri has his cherry at the ready, so he'll go ahead and start counting down.

What can he caption this one with? #HomemadeSundaes #AfterWorkoutTreat #DontJudge... Well, this is before he discovers Yuri has other ideas in mind.]

[ He snorts at that. But...

As soon as Rideaux gets closer, there's a bit of a smile. Not that Rideaux knows it's his 'I'm-obviously-up-to-no-good-whatsoever smile' seeing as he's looking at the GHS and not his face right now. Basically at the last minute he flicks ~~skillfully~~ a bit of caramel at Rideaux's face, aiming for his cheek of course. ]

[The caramel splats right against Rideaux's cheek, resulting in his expression contorting into one of shock as the photo is taken.

He shoots a glare in Yuri's direction, dropping his spoon into the sundae bowl in the process.]

Yuri Lowell!

[But the spark of anger quickly dissipates into a disgruntled sigh, and he ends up flicking the caramel right back at Yuri....along with the cherry.

They're never going to have a serious selfie. But maybe it wouldn't be their selfie without Yuri's ridiculous antics. At least they look like they're having a good time...]

[ Yuri's busy laughing his ass off until he gets hit with caramel and cherry. He tosses his own cherry right back at Rideaux, still laughing with caramel on his own cheek too (and the cherry hit him in the face but didn't like splat or anything because it's a cherry.) ]

Pffhahaha, man that was hilarious! Bet you didn't see that one coming, huh?

[ It really wouldn't be their selfie without something stupid going on from Yuri's end, no. ]

[The cherry is easily deflected, and Rideaux just grumbles under his breath as he rubs caramel off of his face for the second time today.]

I have no idea how I didn't. I can't believe I've allowed my perception to become so lax...

[...

In all honesty, he probably kind of did. It's happened twice now, why would Yuri back down on the third? There's a part of him that won't admit out loud that he might look forward to the dumb stuff Yuri does in their selfies at this point.]
