Week 8.

WEEK 8 Regardless of what you think of the most recent deaths, four more people have died this week. Milla Maxwell, Angel, Susan Ashworth, and Aligula are gone now, leaving you with about a quarter of your original number. Thirty-five down to twelve - this can't keep going for much longer, can it? Is there anything you can do? Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Unlike the previous weeks, however, it seems that either you've reached the end of the line or Jericho has decided to stop rewarding you for your effort; where there would usually be a stairwell to a new floor, you're met with nothing but solid wall. Perhaps it's distressing; perhaps it's a good sign. Only time will tell, and time isn't something you have a lot of around here. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 12

Unofficially, I excel at a very specific kind of Sfeer Theory, one that most people don't try to learn. Outside of that I am nothing special, I can manage to make fire or gusts of wind. But in certain situations, that changes.

As admirable as that is, you probably would not be able to do much to him. He was a trained soldier, after all. If I had to fight with my own body, I would not have won either.

[ With a sheepish smile, Alex removes her hand from the radio and clears her throat, taking a little drink. ]

Yeah! Yeah. Sooo, uh...what brings you here tonight, just...casual bar-going?

[ She... she hesitates a moment, but that strange little thanks? She brushes up the girl's bangs, the touch now serving as something close to a head pat. It's nothing like that time when they first met - then, she had been trying to erase the girl's memories. She was nothing to her. This time, well... ]

Think nothing of it. [ Seriously. ] I did, after all, invite you to my Shihaba, even if there are circumstances that forced my hand there.

[ Her smile is gentle as she responds: ]

Anju did. She claimed it was a sleep aide for me that I should take to my coffin.

[The reassurance helps Rideaux finally allow himself to relax a little bit. He takes a shaky breath and loosens his shoulders. Not so subtly does he use his sleeve to rub at his eyes as well.]

There is not much more to say about my dream. As you can most likely guess, the dream itself revealed my fate. I...haven't dreamed it in full, but I am more than capable of filling in the blanks. I was taken to Bisley and killed. [His hand lingers near his midsection.] I would have never guessed that they could use my spyrix against me in order to drag me there, but...

[He ends up shaking his head, because it's getting rough to talk about again.]

That is why I have remained in here for today, though. [...] I did not take this news well, and I'd rather no one witness the physical evidence of that. It was difficult enough letting you see.

The way I see it, the way to victory depends mostly on who you kill, if you're doing it that way. There's... maybe three key people left. Actually, possibly less.

[ Still, that - ]

Not like you have those powers here. If they thought mine were unbalanced, no way they'd let you have those.

It...won't really work here, but I can explain some of the symbols to you, if nothing else. He left me with some notes on what they mean and what they do.

[Sayaka practically seems to beam with enough glee to kill a man--she's gonna have to clean twice as hard so she can, she's just so excited!]

[ Ha. Alex lets out an awkward little laugh, but it's not with the undercurrent of discomfort or anxiety that usually accompanies it. ]

Hey, Sunken-sans--can you please help Alex out a little? You guys are probably causing her a lot of stress by being like this, you know.

[She is promptly brandishing an almost 'disappointed mom' tone, maybe that'll do something.]

...He? Who keeps doing this? I'll find whoever 'he' is and give him a good scolding.
