Week 8.

WEEK 8

Regardless of what you think of the most recent deaths, four more people have died this week. Milla Maxwell, Angel, Susan Ashworth, and Aligula are gone now, leaving you with about a quarter of your original number. Thirty-five down to twelve - this can't keep going for much longer, can it?

Is there anything you can do?

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Unlike the previous weeks, however, it seems that either you've reached the end of the line or Jericho has decided to stop rewarding you for your effort; where there would usually be a stairwell to a new floor, you're met with nothing but solid wall. Perhaps it's distressing; perhaps it's a good sign.

Only time will tell, and time isn't something you have a lot of around here.

PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 12

[OOC: Welcome to week eight of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Coordinators, you can do so through private meetings with Hilda!]
matchbreaker: (Reluctant heroes)

[ She... she hesitates a moment, but that strange little thanks? She brushes up the girl's bangs, the touch now serving as something close to a head pat. It's nothing like that time when they first met - then, she had been trying to erase the girl's memories. She was nothing to her. This time, well... ]

Think nothing of it. [ Seriously. ] I did, after all, invite you to my Shihaba, even if there are circumstances that forced my hand there.
sleepytimegal: (▷ stay inside)

[personal profile] sleepytimegal 2017-11-02 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
[ Ha. Alex lets out an awkward little laugh, but it's not with the undercurrent of discomfort or anxiety that usually accompanies it. ]

I...guess I should probably ask more about it, your home. For prep, you know.
matchbreaker: (With a chicken wing...)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-11-02 04:38 am (UTC)(link)
Hah. You know, Sayaka's neglected to do that this whole time? I wonder if she figures because I am there it will be fine.

[ Elda pulls her hand back and then pulls over a stool to set closer to the girl, by the drums. She grins. ]

Shihaba's a small city in Japan's central region. It's bordered by the Okura River, Sanjou City, and Amamiya City. It's a quaint little place, but as far as humans are concerned, it's a warm city.
sleepytimegal: (listen close and don't be stoned)

[personal profile] sleepytimegal 2017-11-02 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
Sh- she hasn't...? [ Alex shakes her head a little, with a fond smile. ] Sayaka...

You know, I've never been to Japan in general...but it sounds like it's got some things going for it. How easy is it, to get to those other cities?
matchbreaker: (Notre Dame)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-11-02 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
Sanjou's easy to get to by train, it's the next station over if I recallright, and Amamiya... honestly, both are within biking or walking distance, if you're willing to go a ways. Nowhere in Japan is ever that far though. It's a few hours train ride - after a transfer or three - to both Kyoto or Tokyo too. It's a little less than a half day's trip up to where the Assembly is in the north too.

[ She shrugs. ] Not that I ever need to do it much.
sleepytimegal: (if you're wanting something else)

[personal profile] sleepytimegal 2017-11-02 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
Right... Can't go out into the sun? That's still a thing, isn't it, not just something people made up for stories?
matchbreaker: (Uses this a ton)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-11-02 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
No, that one's true. I've not seen the sun since I was thirteen - if I did, I'd be ash.
sleepytimegal: i just woke up feeling confused (the sun is down when i get out)

[personal profile] sleepytimegal 2017-11-02 06:00 am (UTC)(link)
...Do you miss it?
matchbreaker: (You no longer live as cattle)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-11-02 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
Not for a second. That world was never my world, even if I was allowed a glimpse of it in my younger days.
sleepytimegal: (outside your room your sister's spinning)

[personal profile] sleepytimegal 2017-11-02 06:26 am (UTC)(link)
[ Well. ]

...As long as that's the case, then... [ ... ] What other things are...you know, myth or fact?
matchbreaker: (the one below was the worse option)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-11-02 06:28 am (UTC)(link)
[ She'll list these off. ]

The running water thing's a lie. Crosses also don't burn us, I think it should be obvious why they're still infuriating. Let's see... Oh, we're born, not "turned" or the like. Like any normal mammal. A stake through the heart would kill anyone, so that's always confused me...

[ What else is there she's missing? ]
sleepytimegal: (what's that mean?)

[personal profile] sleepytimegal 2017-11-02 06:39 am (UTC)(link)
What about pictures? Or mirrors?
matchbreaker: (WITH CRUEL INTENTIONS)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-11-02 06:39 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, right, I always forget those are things. No, we show up in both of 'em.
sleepytimegal: (it's upon me)

[personal profile] sleepytimegal 2017-11-02 06:54 am (UTC)(link)
Wonder how those got started, anyway... [ ...Actually- she still has that D&D book, time to flip through it. ] Wonder if this has anything about vampires.
matchbreaker: (Captain Marvel)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-11-02 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
I don't really know. Wishful thinking, in a lot of cases, I'd assume.

[ Still, she shakes her head and leans in to look over Alex's shoulder. What's in here, she's curious too. ]
sleepytimegal: (what's that mean?)

[personal profile] sleepytimegal 2017-11-02 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
[ oh god now's the time when i actually don't have as much dungeons and dragons knowledge as i should and rapidly google ]

Looks like...there's a type of creature to fight, but race... [ Would it be too strong? ]
matchbreaker: (This is her son henru)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-11-02 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Pppftthahaha! That one sees them turning into mist?! See, mist and bats of all things?!

[ She looks it over though, taking some amusement in it. What a set up... ]
sleepytimegal: (▷ i always want you near)

[personal profile] sleepytimegal 2017-11-02 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
...Lemme guess, you can't do either of those either.
matchbreaker: (LAST ONE REMADE)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-11-02 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope! But I appreciate this idea of us having legendary powers here.

[ See the resistance, the movement, etc. ]
sleepytimegal: (listen close and don't be stoned)

[personal profile] sleepytimegal 2017-11-02 09:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I'd hate to go up against one of these.
matchbreaker: (wait that's the wrong lyrics)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-11-02 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
The unarmed attacks stuff is pretty real though.

[ She said, licking one of her long lady fingernails. ]
sleepytimegal: (and if i'm on the floor)

[personal profile] sleepytimegal 2017-11-02 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[ ...ELDA.... ]

Well...yeah, those claws, tho. Uh-huh.
matchbreaker: (Waffle Crew)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-11-02 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
What, do you doubt me?

[ And then, in an impossible swift movement, that claw she was licking shoots out to end up inches from Alex's eye? That's sure a threat she is casually doing? ]
sleepytimegal: (it's dragging me)

[personal profile] sleepytimegal 2017-11-03 03:31 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Alex shrieks and literally falls back from her chair! ]

N-no!! No, I was saying the literal opposite of that!
matchbreaker: (Is annoying!)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-11-03 03:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh good!

[ she pulls the claw back with a smile, seemingly satisfied that she can still scare Alex a little. But wow, that sure was extra jittery.

... Want a hand up? ]
