Week 8.

WEEK 8

Regardless of what you think of the most recent deaths, four more people have died this week. Milla Maxwell, Angel, Susan Ashworth, and Aligula are gone now, leaving you with about a quarter of your original number. Thirty-five down to twelve - this can't keep going for much longer, can it?

Is there anything you can do?

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Unlike the previous weeks, however, it seems that either you've reached the end of the line or Jericho has decided to stop rewarding you for your effort; where there would usually be a stairwell to a new floor, you're met with nothing but solid wall. Perhaps it's distressing; perhaps it's a good sign.

Only time will tell, and time isn't something you have a lot of around here.

[ ... Yuri will take notice of that even if it's ass o'clock in the damn morning to him. He's going to be, as opposed to her quick work, moving at what is normal for making that sort of stuff. ]

Yeah, it doesn't look like there is.

[ Anyway...he can't help but asking since he's noticed she's off and he just sometimes just flat out asks these sort of things. ]

Something on your mind?

It's frustrating that there's nothing else to be found in this place. Usually you'd think that'd mean the end of this nonsense, but despite that, we're still here and there aren't any other changes.

[Yeah, she was expecting new rooms or something, not a complete dead end]

[ That sounds frustrating to him--the only reason why Yuri's probably not annoyed is because he just got up and is too groggy to be anything. On second thought, he actually doesn't recall even looking around to see if anything new popped up but just yes anyway.

... He'll just keep that to himself, though. ]

I think any new room is probably just behind one of those locked doors that were found in the other rooms. But yeah, it's kind of a let down there's nothing else gonna be revealed by the psycho upstairs.

[ That said, he flips some eggs. ]

Could be on purpose, of course.

What'd make them change the pattern like this? We haven't done anything different, have we?

Maybe they just wanted to frustrate us some more? Could be some kinda psychological crap going on here.

They could at least give us another mechanical animal to coddle.

[Since everyone seemed to be so fond of the cat]

[ He snorts. ]

I don't even know why they even have one of those around in the first place, but I guess it'd be a waste to complain.

[ Ah, well... ]

If we look around hard enough maybe there'll be some kind of other hidden door somewhere we can actually open up?

...yes, you may be right. [That kind of improves Kyrie's mood. Yeah, maybe there are hidden doors somewhere!] Speaking from experience it's possible opening a hidden door will involve some kind of puzzle. The problem is finding where it is.

[ Where there's a will, there's a way! Or something. ]

I think there's only a few places we haven't exactly looked into yet, so it'd bring down at least the number of spots we could check at least.
