Week 8.
Regardless of what you think of the most recent deaths, four more people have died this week. Milla Maxwell, Angel, Susan Ashworth, and Aligula are gone now, leaving you with about a quarter of your original number. Thirty-five down to twelve - this can't keep going for much longer, can it? Is there anything you can do? Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Unlike the previous weeks, however, it seems that either you've reached the end of the line or Jericho has decided to stop rewarding you for your effort; where there would usually be a stairwell to a new floor, you're met with nothing but solid wall. Perhaps it's distressing; perhaps it's a good sign. Only time will tell, and time isn't something you have a lot of around here. |

[OOC: Welcome to week eight of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Coordinators, you can do so through private meetings with Hilda!]

[It was probably obvious by the way she looked kind of struck, there, but she waves that away.]
Oh, of course! I'd love all of the hands I could get, honestly! ...I'd just be happy with the company, though.

[ Yuri is a bit conflicted, actually - he doesn't know if it's a good thing their souls have lingered here, but he is glad to know that they seemed to be doing alright. And to have seen them again. ]
Why not both, then?
[ He'll start to help her out with cleaning up a little. ]

[...Sayaka at least seems relieved, if nothing else, though she's smiling a bit more softly and averting her gaze--when Yuri speaks up again, her look snaps back and she beams.]
That works perfectly! Thank you so much...
[...]
...Actually, um...should I still call you 'Yuri-san', or would you prefer to just be 'Yuri'? [She seems genuinely contemplative, at least.]
no subject
[ Is it just him or is there something weird going on here? Sure, the first time he missed it, but the second time makes him start to wonder a little.
He'll get back to that, though, after the interlude here that's sort of making him smile a bit. He recalls a few days back when she had just used his name, without the add-on, and it was pretty nice. He figured it meant they became closer friends. And... ]
Yuri would be just fine. I prefer things to be simpler, you know?
[ Anyway- ]
By the way, is there something else on your mind?
no subject
[There's a small bit of 'lucky them' implied in her tone, but...no, they aren't lucky. They've all died in some manner to get there, after all.
...Even so, though, Sayaka actually smiles very warmly at that. She wasn't sure if that was too much of a leap, but you know? It's not bad at all.]
Yuri it is, then. I'd say we're close enough for that. [...] And it's...well, I know many people don't like to think about Kimblee-san after what he did. But...I'm actually really happy with what he wanted to show me.
And...in general, seeing them all again--it made me realize just how much I missed everyone. You know what I mean, right?
no subject
[ Yuri swallows down a "Well, most of them do, anyway." because he does want to keep this lighthearted. Anyway, he has probably started to help with earnestly cleaning up in here after she says that, and it's enough to keep a smile on his face at least. The talk about seeing those they cared about again and how it seems they've come to know each other well enough that their friendship has grown stronger. ]
And I think I know what you mean. I didn't know most of the people dead but for those I did, it was kinda nice seeing 'em around. I'm guessing Kimblee showed you something nice then, huh?
no subject
He did. He was...kind of teaching me how to make an array, so that I could try to do some alchemy for myself. It was...honestly really fun, and I've been doing everything I can to keep it up here. I've mostly been experimenting around with my own arrays, but...
He made one for me. Once we're done in here, I can show you, if you'd like--it's so pretty, and I'm absolutely stunned that he'd do something like that.
[Sayaka seems...genuinely happy, for sure, when she talks about it. That warm tone stays when she continues.]
Honestly, seeing some of the other notes, too...like Sigrun-san's, knowing that these people wanted to see us again, and being able to see them, it's...it makes it feel like we're only a little separated, and that maybe if we work hard enough, we can meet again.
no subject
Yeah, sure, I'm actually a bit curious about how it looks.
[ ... ]
By 'meet again' I'm guessing you mean the whole 'seance' thing in this library all over again?
no subject
[Sayaka practically seems to beam with enough glee to kill a man--she's gonna have to clean twice as hard so she can, she's just so excited!]
Well, that, and...I don't know. I...want to believe there's some way to...at the very least, maybe we could help them pass on. But...
[...]
It's just a minor hope, I think. I shouldn't get my hopes up.
no subject
Might as well. I'd have no clue what they're for or what they'd mean otherwise.
[ ... ]
Nah, there's no harm in being a little optimistic. There's a lot we've learned can be possible just by being here. Even for me, and I'm used to pretty weird things.
no subject
...]
Do you think...that maybe, we'll find a way to bring everyone back? I mean...they made it out to be a possibility before, didn't they?
[With the motive last week, and all.]
no subject
[ Yuri wouldn't have believed it earlier on in the weeks, but now...things are different. He's not going to be foolishly optimistic or anything, but he does have some hope it can happen if they try. ]
no subject
...As long as we keep on it, I'm certain we will. We're a determined bunch--we've already managed to do this much, so that must mean there's so much more we can do. We just have to stay determined!
no subject
Sounds about right. It'd probably take a hell of a lot, but there's no reason to think something like that'd be impossible.
[ After he's done cleaning up some of the library on his end, he'll take a moment to pause and put a hand on his hip with a smile. ]
Speaking of our hard work and determination, you all set with cleaning up over there? I managed to finish on my side of things.
no subject
[Sayaka smiles a bit, though, before looking around her side of the room with a nod of approval--it's perfect!]
Yeah, I'm finished on my side too! Heehee--we make a pretty good team, don't we? For mischief and good deeds!
no subject
[ ... Yuri will come over to her and raise a hand. ]
How about giving one here?
[ He figures that there deserves to be some high-fiving going around. They did just give it a big effort, even if Yuri might want to make it all a mess again. Oops. ]
no subject
Were you worried that I wasn't going to give you one, Yuri? I'd be absolutely remiss not to, you know! Especially after the wonderful job you just did!
[It's just obvious to her.]
