Week 8.

WEEK 8

Regardless of what you think of the most recent deaths, four more people have died this week. Milla Maxwell, Angel, Susan Ashworth, and Aligula are gone now, leaving you with about a quarter of your original number. Thirty-five down to twelve - this can't keep going for much longer, can it?

Is there anything you can do?

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Unlike the previous weeks, however, it seems that either you've reached the end of the line or Jericho has decided to stop rewarding you for your effort; where there would usually be a stairwell to a new floor, you're met with nothing but solid wall. Perhaps it's distressing; perhaps it's a good sign.

Only time will tell, and time isn't something you have a lot of around here.

[OOC: Welcome to week eight of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Coordinators, you can do so through private meetings with Hilda!]
bloodisthicker: maybe you shouldn't have gone all facist tarrlok (way to turn out like dad tarrlok)

I suppose so. Maybe I shouldn't be so worried about it, since I have a pretty good idea of what I did wrong, but I thought I was doing it right the first time around.

I think this time around might be different because now you know what not to do wrong.

[ Hmm, well - ]

Maybe the struggle here is not repeating those mistakes, and I guess that can be hard enough. But, you're determined to see it through, right?
bloodisthicker: no? well okay... (does this lighting flatter me)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2017-11-02 07:06 pm (UTC)(link)
...Perhaps. I definitely do want to do better, and I suppose I have more of a motivation for it now. At least, in comparison to before.

[ ... ]

That sounds like more than a 'perhaps' to me. I think you seem about ready to give it a try and it's good that you do, which is more than what can be said of some people anyway.
bloodisthicker: because cool kids keyword song lyrics out of order (you're not the only guilty one.)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2017-11-03 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
...yeah, I guess so. There's something to be said for actually having regrets, I suppose.

Yeah.

... Hey.

[ He'll come over to him and give him a nudge with a smile. ]
bloodisthicker: you sure about that (well this is awkward)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2017-11-05 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
[...he mostly just kind of looks confused, because what]

...hey...?

[personal profile] hesperos 2017-11-05 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Two men were working on a hill. One of them asked the other, "Are you sure we're going to finish this house by sun down?"

[ Pause. ]

You wanna know what his partner's answer was?
bloodisthicker: oh no, it's hot (guys... fucking...)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2017-11-06 03:58 pm (UTC)(link)
...

[he sighs and steels himself.]

I don't know. What was it.

[ Come on, have some faith!

Okay maybe he has reason to have none. ]

"Rest assured, we'll be able to sea this through to the end."

[ That sounded ten times better in his head, but oh well. ]
bloodisthicker: tenzin suffers (when dee bradley baker comes to dinner)

...

[he kind of puts his face in his hands to hide the fact that he's smiling, because he hates it.]

That was awful.

[personal profile] hesperos 2017-11-07 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
[ He'll be grinning, because he saw that. ]

But I can tell you're resisting the urge to laugh. You thought it was hilarious too, didn't you?
bloodisthicker: this is my likable face (here's lookin' at you kid)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2017-11-07 05:33 pm (UTC)(link)
...

Yeah. I hate it, but yeah, I did.

[personal profile] hesperos 2017-11-08 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
[ Success!! ]

Good. You looked like you needed someone to tell you a crappy joke.
bloodisthicker: this is my likable face (here's lookin' at you kid)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2017-11-10 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
...hah, yes, I really kind of did.

[personal profile] hesperos 2017-11-11 03:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Glad you agree, old man.

[ ... ]

Well, for better or worse, looks like there's enough time on our hands to do a lot of thinking, so there's that too. Let me know if you ever need any help too -- it's something you're going to need to mostly figure out yourself, but having someone around to reinforce your conviction to change for the better or start over can help.
bloodisthicker: this is my likable face (here's lookin' at you kid)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2017-11-12 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, of course. I'll keep that in mind. There's... a lot of thinking I'm going to have to do, of course. But... hopefully I'll reach some sort of conclusion at some point.
