Week 8.

WEEK 8 Regardless of what you think of the most recent deaths, four more people have died this week. Milla Maxwell, Angel, Susan Ashworth, and Aligula are gone now, leaving you with about a quarter of your original number. Thirty-five down to twelve - this can't keep going for much longer, can it? Is there anything you can do? Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Unlike the previous weeks, however, it seems that either you've reached the end of the line or Jericho has decided to stop rewarding you for your effort; where there would usually be a stairwell to a new floor, you're met with nothing but solid wall. Perhaps it's distressing; perhaps it's a good sign. Only time will tell, and time isn't something you have a lot of around here. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 12

...You know, that's an absolutely excellent point! And that's absolutely unfair, considering everything the two of them do. Honestly, no wonder Alena-san said she didn't like him--he's probably a terrible boss who just sits there and eats sweets all day.

Exactly. And well, he's insufferable enough in the limited contact we have with him. I can't possibly imagine having to deal with him personally on a regular basis.

How much do you wanna bet they have to clean up after him, too? He probably keeps his own room a pigsty.

...I could understand why Alena-san might not, but no, I have to wonder the same for Hilda-san. [...she is never saying that again as long as she lives--] I hate to say it, but at least she wouldn't be so...I think smarmy is the word I want to use, honestly, for Jericho-san? Like, he just exudes it. Every single word he speaks, it's kind of gross.

No, I agree. I think a no-nonsense approach like hers would at least be more tolerable than some smug waste of space enjoying it far too much.

It likely wouldn't be good for anyone involved, but it's be a lot less...annoying, I guess, than having someone who takes far too much joy in all of this.

The rules would probably be stricter, I imagine, though.

They're fairly strict already, though. They're just enforced with a sense of flippancy that makes the fact that people get murdered over them more irritating.

...You know, fair point. I guess I'm thinking more...technical shemantics, I suppose, like--

You know, she was trying to think of rules that were different from Hope's Peak than here, but she both wasn't alive long enough to find any new ones, and they were pretty goddamn similar to what they are here.

...At least we don't have surveillance cameras with guns attached to them, here?

...Yes, well, there's always that. I guess there's always the possibility that it could be worse.

The fact that we can still fight is...proof enough, I think, that this place is still better than whatever it could be, and I'm glad for that.

[Alright, she's just about done...]
