Week 8.

WEEK 8

Regardless of what you think of the most recent deaths, four more people have died this week. Milla Maxwell, Angel, Susan Ashworth, and Aligula are gone now, leaving you with about a quarter of your original number. Thirty-five down to twelve - this can't keep going for much longer, can it?

Is there anything you can do?

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Unlike the previous weeks, however, it seems that either you've reached the end of the line or Jericho has decided to stop rewarding you for your effort; where there would usually be a stairwell to a new floor, you're met with nothing but solid wall. Perhaps it's distressing; perhaps it's a good sign.

Only time will tell, and time isn't something you have a lot of around here.

PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 12

[OOC: Welcome to week eight of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Coordinators, you can do so through private meetings with Hilda!]

[Strangely enough, that gets a chuckle out of Rideaux. A very bitter one, though.]

...You needn't worry. We have a capable doctor and decently-stocked infirmary for such inconveniences.

Truuue enough.

But not all illnesses are so easily cured by medicine.

[Stress and trauma and all that.]

[Oh boy. I am so sorry Cabanela, that is like the worst thing you could've said to Rideaux right now. Though it can't be seen behind his sunglasses, he's giving Cabanela a hard stare for a moment before he turns to fetch his water.]

I am well aware of that. I've been in this business for over a decade.

[But he's been intimately familiar for much longer. They...are not speaking of the same sort of illnesses.]

[He looks startled for a moment.]

I... see. Post traumatic stress is not something that's ever easily dealt with.
evilfrenzy: (♟ not really feeling it rn)

Ah. You meant... [He winces a little behind the shades.] My apologies, I took that...differently. But yes, you are right about that.

...I see.

[He doesn't see.]

Whatever the Coordinators did to us, I want to get to the bottom of it.
evilfrenzy: (♟ ugh feelings)

[I am so sorry about him. He has a lot of hangups about illness.]

..."Did to us" in what way?

[He just is wondering if Cabanela is speaking of a specific thing, since the Coordinators seem to have done a lot.]

....For us to collectively have massive memory loss, it certainly implies some sort of trauma.
evilfrenzy: (♟ can we not)

[personal profile] evilfrenzy 2017-11-07 06:18 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, I see where you are coming from. You know, that seems to be the biggest link between us. Some have spoken of mysterious scars, lack of abilities...their own deaths.

[...]

But the memory loss is one thing that applies to all of us, as far as I am aware. It could be trauma, yes...but I wouldn't rule out an ability, either.
