Week 8.

WEEK 8 Regardless of what you think of the most recent deaths, four more people have died this week. Milla Maxwell, Angel, Susan Ashworth, and Aligula are gone now, leaving you with about a quarter of your original number. Thirty-five down to twelve - this can't keep going for much longer, can it? Is there anything you can do? Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Unlike the previous weeks, however, it seems that either you've reached the end of the line or Jericho has decided to stop rewarding you for your effort; where there would usually be a stairwell to a new floor, you're met with nothing but solid wall. Perhaps it's distressing; perhaps it's a good sign. Only time will tell, and time isn't something you have a lot of around here. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 12

[Sayaka...pats the top of the radio, a bit, before moving a little closer to Alex.]

I'm sure it'll be fine, though. Just promise me you'll be careful, alright? I don't want something happening to you...

[ She grins lightly, but then, more seriously: ]

I will. I promise. I'm not leaving you behind.

[...Alex is far more careful than she really gives the girl credit for. That...causes her to smile a bit, and she'll pull Alex a bit closer.]

...Good. Good. [Sayaka breathes out a breath she didn't know she was holding, with a smile.] There's...I'm happy to hear it. I promise too. There's so much I want to see with you...

[ Oh, well... Since she's so close, Sayaka should be able to tell, Alex is a little tense, though she has a bit of a silly smile on. ]

Mm... Yeah, I...there's a lot I wanna see with you too. It...uh, that reminds me...actually...

[Oh, yeah, that's...that's easy to tell. Sayaka blinks a bit, for a moment, before tilting her head.]

Oh? What's up, Alex?

[It must be important if she's this tense.]

[ She's got one hand on her beer and she takes a swig before continuing. ]

There's, like...not much we can do here, but- I mean, we've been together for a few weeks [ almost three but you know who's counting, not Alex for sure, definitely! ] and... I still haven't...taken you out on a date.

[...Oh.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

You know, she should've expected that, in hindsight? Of course, she didn't, and here she is, kind of dumbfounded by Alex's words and she just. Kind of sputters for a moment, blush coating her cheeks and having to turn away.]

W...Well, would you...u-um...like to, then? I know there isn't much, but...I think...it might be fun, honestly. And it'd be...really nice to be with you and...feel like we can...do something, here.

[To her credit, she seems happy? Just. Utterly full of nerves and butterflies all the sudden.]

[ Now that she's gotten it out there, in contrast, Alex feels a little less...well, like a ball of nerves, glancing over to see Sayaka's (cute) blushing face. ]

...Uh-huh. Gimme, um...a few days to plan sometimes? But- I can... I would love to take you out "somewhere," Sayaka Maizono.

[ ...A little internal fist-pump. Aw yeah, that was kind of smooth. ]

[...That causes her heart to flutter a bit, hands going up and just...kind of clasping together over it, while a nervous grin spreads on her face.]

...Then...we can go anywhere we want to, as far as I'm concerned. As long as it's with you, I...would love it.

[ ...Don't giggle, don't, it'll ruin your illusion of being someone who can be romantic-- ]

Then...it's a date! [ god dammit i just said DON'T giggle Alex leans in and kisses Sayaka's cheek. ] I swear, I'll... I'll make it a good one.
