RESISTANCE MEETING 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO

[Like last week, the conference room is set up with enough chairs for everyone (two less than last week) but there isn't any food provided because of the uh... dinner party. Hopefully that didn't go so poorly that the entire group has been split or anything, that would certainly suck.

But once again it's time to discuss the state of things here. Logan's in the same seat he was last time at one end of the table. He's particularly distracted today and he can't seem to focus on that book he's been carrying around, so he'll start things a little earlier today.]

As I'm sure you all know, this week's incentive could easily motivate someone to attempt to murder someone. We need to discuss the state of things here - has anyone found anything since the last meeting? Nighttime patrols have been discussed and I believe Giovanni was handling that. Do we have any other ideas for how we could prevent any more deaths?

I agree completely, but we need more than that. If any among us are rash enough to act without thinking everything through, we are still in a dangerous position. A solid goal to work towards would be more effective.

As much fun as that would be, we have no way to get at him.

I think you're incorrect, Logan. I'm not saying it would be simple; my estimation is that we'd need quite a fair bit of power to break through.

But what about that glass panel behind the thirtieth podium?

...Interesting. How do you propose we get up there?

[There will be another trial, there's no avoiding that. But maybe they can use that to their advantage.]

Well, if one of us is stupid enough to commit murder, there's that option. Alternately, we find a way to break through to it by force as well.

Of course, now that I've said as much out loud I don't doubt the Conductor's scrambling to take precautions against exactly this. Even so, I trust some of us are intelligent enough to plan for that as well.

[decrees]

I doubt any of us are strong enough to break down the door leading to the basement.

Ordinarily, I might have been.

[He gestured towards a crack in the conference room wall.]

As it is, that appears to be the best that I'm capable of now. So either we throw everything we have at our disposal at it all at once, or come up with another method.

[...Well, that's a thing.]

I somehow doubt we'll be able to get that door down with anything we've been given. He's most likely prepared for that possibility and taken precautions to ensure we will not be successful in attempting to break it down.

As I said, it's not something easy or entirely plausible. It's simply the most direct solution I've been able to think of so far.

Is that really the only way to get at him, though? I've been thinkin' about that.

Oh? And you can think of another option?

Mm! I think so, anyways. I've talked about with Logan before, but...he probably doesn't remember. Is it really safe to talk about it where he can hear us, though?

Not at all. It's incredibly stupid. But I don't see much of a better option apart from sticking this entire group in a bathroom.

We need to get to him first. There've got to be steps, otherwise... well, why haven't we succeeded there yet?

You want the simple truth? Fine--I'm not as powerful as someone like me should be.

[As much as he hated to admit it...that was just true at this point.]

I've seen another vampire before, and the power I have now doesn't nearly match up to what was displayed to me then. Were that not the case, that steel door in the foyer would have been simple to destroy.
