trustfell | RESISTANCE MEETING 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO

[Like last week, the conference room is set up with enough chairs for everyone (two less than last week) but there isn't any food provided because of the uh... dinner party. Hopefully that didn't go so poorly that the entire group has been split or anything, that would certainly suck.

But once again it's time to discuss the state of things here. Logan's in the same seat he was last time at one end of the table. He's particularly distracted today and he can't seem to focus on that book he's been carrying around, so he'll start things a little earlier today.]

As I'm sure you all know, this week's incentive could easily motivate someone to attempt to murder someone. We need to discuss the state of things here - has anyone found anything since the last meeting? Nighttime patrols have been discussed and I believe Giovanni was handling that. Do we have any other ideas for how we could prevent any more deaths?

I mentioned it to Jean earlier, but I wrote the Conductor sometime last week and he mentioned that we remind him of a group of people he used to work with. Most of them were scientists I don't know if that's actually all that relevant, though?

... And he also said the reason some people keep their abilities and others don't might be because of what species you are. Humans are shit outta luck, but since Kaneki wasn't human [ he's just not even going to mention Dio here ay ] he... retained some vital elements of his being, I think is how he phrased it. But he also said it's just a theory.

He told me that too! Not...about the scientists, but that's the feeling I got. Did he tell you anything else about his old coworkers? I'm waiting on a few questions myself.

Yeah, he said some of them were investigators and soldiers, I think? And then something like... they didn't have a common goal, they just kinda ended up working on the same project.

Huh. He told me, they all wanted to...affect the world, change something. He didn't tell you anything about the project, did he?

Nah, but I also didn't ask, so there's that. I think he did say it wasn't related to what's going on here, though.

... Still, that's really weird, isn't it? Like, this is a total fucking downgrade from affecting the world, isn't it?

Maybe they upgraded to affecting other worlds?

Or maybe this does have something to do with affecting the world... You know, I think I'll ask him something about this too.

I can confirm the powers thing. Although the thing is, like. Where I'm from, I'm not exactly . . . considered human. [Theoretically, mutants are human. In practice, mutants might as well be a whole different species.] So, like, in some cases I think it sort of has to do with, like, how much of a problem the power would cause.

Seriously, both you and Sol? [ What kinda backwards places is everybody living in. ] ... But yeah, that could be. Although I don't know kinda powers do jackass vampires have, so.
