WEEK 5 Tabitha Smith, Sigrun Eide, and Solf J Kimblee are all dead. Regardless of what you think of the trial or the events leading up to it, there's no denying that you can feel the dent in your numbers now. After all, ten people are gone now. It may be hard, but all you can do is keep going. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... What with Jericho's excitement at the last trial, it's evident now more than ever that the new floor that's opened up to you is a gift, a reward for a job well-done. Because while surviving is something that you'll continue to try to do of your own merit...well. Let's say that he's so, so very proud of you. I'm...I'm listing down the memories I have of everyone I know.

[Milla may notice a few names on the page--Elda, Alex, Kimblee, Aligula, Luca, and a few other names scattered throughout the pages. But Sayaka's tone--she's utterly furious.]

I won't let him take them from me. I never, ever will.

[matchbreaker]

[ . . .

Well then, she'll open it just a little. It's obvious that there's no lights on here. ]

So in a way he was a mellower version of the man we knew here. I see... [Kyrie starts reloading her crossbow] Do you know if he knew another version of you?

Elda...this is...

This is wonderful, how could you think that it was bad?!

[For a moment Kyrie considers walking away, but decides to try one more time]

Marker-san, if you'd like to be left alone, then don't reply. I just thought I should check on you, I don't mean to impose on you.

[What Sayaka passes in is simple; a blank sketchbook from the art room.]

...I'm keeping my memories of people in a physical place, so...so Jericho-san can't take you all from me. I thought...it might help you, as well. With your family.

[matchbreaker]

[ Oh. ... She has no idea how to react to this. She didn't expect Sayaka to think highly of it, and when the girl does, her eyes widen a little more. She takes a half-step closer to the girl, and she feels very dry mouthed. What is- ]

It's... [ How does she- ] ... You're a human girl, that's all.

[matchbreaker]

[ Of all things... she laughs.

And with that soft laugh, she doesn't take the sketchbook. She instead intends to grab Sayaka's wrist and yank her into the room. Surprise? ]

[spiritform]

[It makes her happy to see Sayaka fighting so hard. That she'd not only worry about the people in her life back home, but here as well...]

That's a good idea. Try as they might, we won't be easily defeated. And I'm sure everyone would be happy to know just how much you want to remember them.

[matchbreaker]

[ she would like to be left alone, honestly. She can't deal with all of these humans, the ones she's now counting on to not lose her family in her mind. Or she needs to kill them...

She snarls, but then something slips out under the door.

It's a sketch drawing - one of Kyrie as best she can do from memory. ]

...I know. And...I know how you feel about them.

[Sayaka wipes her eyes, but she...she smiles.]

I love it. I love...that you can see me like that. It's just wonderful...

Exactly. Even Kimblee provided useful insight to us before we died, after all. These alliances might be temporary, but we need to make good use of everyone we have for as long as we can.

[Just so long as they don't have to hold hands around a fire.]

[bloodbiter]

[She looks towards him with a nod of greeting as he enters.]

You can call me Adelina, if it pleases you. And yes, you’re right. I’ve known how to draw and embroider since I was young.

Is it the same for you?

[ It's not even a wish though, it's just a delusion. She bites her lip and then exhales a little bit. She...

She... ]

... I'm - quite fond of you. I've made no secret of it.

--Oh!

[INTO THE ROOM SHE GOES THEN, THIS IS MOST CERTAINLY HAPPENING--she's actually got two sketchbooks in hand, from the looks of it, but she's dropped the blank one out into the hallway.

...But congrats, Elda, you have obtained one (1) twig into the dark room?]

Likewise. It's been bothering me since we discussed it the first week.

[What with their unlimited funding, and Sigrun saying they're somewhere in a city. Is this just some business people walk by every day?]

[bloodbiter]

Yes, I could.

[A small pause.]

I am not as used to painting as I am drawing and embroidering, but I would make it look as lovely as I could.

[spiritform]

[Milla spends part of her day looking through the chemistry lab. There are a lot of clearly labeled toxic materials that she seems to be going through for the sake of awareness.

Later she visits the art studio. Although she has never drawn before-- she seems very dedicated as she attempts some sketches. There are a number... as well as a few poor attempts crumpled up all over the table. The ones that haven't been destroyed show a boy, his cat, and a young girl. The one she's working on now seems to recieve a lot of care as well and depicts another boy-- one she looks at quite fondly, whether she realizes it or not.

If you come in later you might even see her attempting to sketch some of the people here. She starts with those she's seen the most of-- Elda, Sayaka, Rin, Adelina... but anyone might find a sketch of them on her table. She would like to remember that all these people were her allies on some level.]

[She’ll see a few images of a young man and woman, both looking roughly around her age. The young woman, in particular, bears a resemblance to her, with an expression of determination or pride. The young man has dark, curly hair, and he wears a warm smile in these depictions. They’re both drawn skillfully; it’s clear she’s been practicing for many years.]

Yes. It might take a few tries to accurately portray their features, but... I would be glad to do so.

I have no experience at all-- spirits do not typically keep personal items, after all. However... I think it would be nice to have something like that.

[As for any concern that Milla might question her skill level--]

Your works are lovely, I would be happy to have one.

[ It's pitch black in the room for a long moment, though Elda can see perfectly. She reaches around a little, shifting the grip from her wrist to holding Sayaka's hand as she closes the door behind her. But then she reaches out and fiddles with the light. It's still dark in here, a blanket over the light but with the light increasing:

Numerous sketches are tapped to the wall now with duct tape. Dozens and dozens of them, featuring every member of Elda's family, Cecilia, Karin's boyfriend (Kenta), Sayaka, Blue, Fern, Rin, Adelina, Susan, Kimblee, numerous other Participants. She seems to have ripped every page from the notepad she'd worked in, and some she had worked on another sketchbook before now.

But there's other things to note about the room. Most notably, the bed appears to have been damaged - numerous claw marks on the legs of it and the mattress having been tossed into the far wall. She's got shit from her trunk strewn all over the ground. And the people-pire paintings from the other day are leaning up against the wall. ]

Even those areas must be areas they want us to see, though... Or else they would conceal the means to open them.

[...man at this point she'd like to forget some of the people back home.

BUT LET'S NOT TALK ABOUT THAT that's an issue for another day.]

Yeah. I just...I don't like the idea of forgetting people. Kimblee-san said that it was insulting to forget those who've had an impact on you, and the fact that Jericho-san is trying to do that...it makes me so mad. I hate that he's trying to do this to us, to get us to kill for it.

[She. Goes back to furiously writing, just...kind of shaking.]

I--I'm so mad, I could scream...!

...I know. You're...fond of Adelina-san too, aren't you? And Tohsaka-san, from the looks of it...

[Sayaka seems...happy.]
