WEEK 5 Tabitha Smith, Sigrun Eide, and Solf J Kimblee are all dead. Regardless of what you think of the trial or the events leading up to it, there's no denying that you can feel the dent in your numbers now. After all, ten people are gone now. It may be hard, but all you can do is keep going. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... What with Jericho's excitement at the last trial, it's evident now more than ever that the new floor that's opened up to you is a gift, a reward for a job well-done. Because while surviving is something that you'll continue to try to do of your own merit...well. Let's say that he's so, so very proud of you. He bribed the doctors to swap the babies. That's how he did it. That gave Asumu the chance to force him to marry her.

[To any person that'd mean Rudolf chose Asumu as his wife instead of Kyrie, but Rudolf's cowardice and attachment to both Asumu and Kyrie was extraordinary]

... That doesn't solve anything? That just means she was ignorant too. How could he possibly be blackmailed?

[ ... He takes pause as he realizes something. ]

Guess I'll be having two bracelets now.

Actually, the same. I was pretty surprised about that myself.

[ Last week seems to have just been bad memory week. Or at least from what Yuri could tell, anyway. ]

[ The beginning of the day finds Elda in the Foyer. There, she's dealing out cars to herself, playing ... some sort of game? Maybe she's just doing a long form shuffling of the deck, who knows. Curiously, it's not the decks in the game room, it's the scuffed up old looking one she got out of the vending machine. Alternatively, she might well be seen with all four queen face up, nudging them up one by one while muttering to herself. ]

So James pairs off Henry with pretty little Cecilia's daughter and intended to seduce her in the first place... was that an agreement he made with Daniel, or just something he did himself? Obvious she gets her body from the Armash line, but...

[ Mmm.

That all sucks.

But next things next, you might find the vampire anywhere around the building as she's planting... Bat Jerky in the far corners of it. Various rooms, different hallways. You might have gotten some of the bat jerky from the vending machine yourself. It doesn't smell that great. But she's sure planting it everywhere, this time with Ditty beside her, wiggling along after her.

But at the tail end of the day she makes it up to the fourth floor. To the art room specifically. Once there, she seems to be ... painting? She's much more used to being a sketch artist, but she seem to be painting - people? She's making a painting of some various people (Adelina, Sayaka, Rin, and Susan, among some others which are less clear) albeit - with some slight differences. All of them seem to have somewhere between brown and red eyes, pointed ears, and fangs.

... Yes, she is painting her favorites as vampires fucking sue her. ]

Guy Fawkes, he was a conspirator who tried to assassinate a king. Didn't work out too well for him, but was fun to watch.

[ I mean that sounds more interesting than Christmas! ]

INVESTIGATION

[ ...So, this week's starting off strong, isn't it? Alex isn't out with her photos this week, sorting memories, and that's...probably a little noticeable? It's how she's done each last week, after all. No, instead there's a strange mix of resignation and determination in her movements. There was yesterday, but it's more pronounced today. Odd, that.

She uses today to do a little more looking around the new floor. Notably, the chemistry lab, where she's investigating. She's not a science girl, but like...well, you don't have to know science to investigate a science place, right? ...Right. Feel free to come across her also poking around the chemicals. Not sniffing or anything just trying to see if she can tell which ones are...not...good. Gold star, Alex.

Outside of that? Well she's actually going to be in the woodworking room with a knife and a block of wood. She tried carving when she was younger so maybe this could be a fun thing to do to pass the time? ...Eh, she can try it, at least.

She disappears for awhile after this, but in the evening she'll be just around the foyer, with a towel over her shoulders and wet hair, which is not in its signature ponytail. Her roots, which have started to show this last week, are now that nice color of teal! Looks like she did some touch up. She's looking over the letters she received from Sayaka last week, kind of...thoughtfully, a gentle frown on her face. Doesn't seem like she's opposed to company, though. ]

[It hit her right then and there. That'd be impossible. But Asumu had to have done something. There's no other reason why he'd pick her! It just...

Kyrie looks down, holding her head with a hand]

She's cunning enough to think of something. That devious woman...she must have thought of something.

[At this point that's no more than steadfast denial. At least she's not breaking down...? Not that denying it over and over is much better, is it?]

[ Honestly... it's a cruel thing. To point that out, or even to dig a little more on it, to question the ideas and the affections of the woman's husband, even if their family does seem a little bit dramatic. But it would also be cruel to get to the heart of the matter: and the heart of the matter is that Rudolf not only was an asshole in Elda's eyes but furthermore irresponsible. To impregnate two women at once, then pick one of them to marry? How...

Disgusting, really.

But she won't question that, no more than she would tolerate someone questioning the more obtuse actions of her James or how she wouldn't dream to question Aligula's perverse love either. In the end, she can just sigh a little, and drum her fingers on the table. ]

... You're in a rough position then, Ushiromiya. Jericho's secret outs your opinions, and you said yourself that the Battler boy's quite sensitive.

Good morning, Hibiki. By the way, you can call me by my first name if you want. I don't mind.

[ Yuri's sure not judging. He's probably about to make himself a heart meal too when she's done. ]

I'm doing alright. Got myself a lot of rest and didn't even fall out of the bed this morning.

[ He's joking a bit, but well. His dream wasn't bad this week, so that's actually pretty nice? The past weeks have been a lot. ]

[Sayaka winds up coming into the Dojo a little while after Yuri's in--she's not surprised to see him, admittedly, but she is surprised that she's not seeing him punch around a mat.]

Hey, Yuri-san. Is everything okay over there?

I guess we're finally getting something like a break. It's probably not going to last. But...at least we have a little while. Until Tuesday, maybe.

[ Yuri's got his character sheet out and he looks pretty damn psyched? As psyched as someone who isn't one to bounce around or anything can get anyway. He's glad that they managed to get themselves in here after all.

He takes a short glance over at Tarrlok before back down at his stuff and then at Aligula. ]

Yeah, me too. I'm sure whatever the hell it is though it's bound to be a blast.

Yeah, totally.

[ Yuri's touching at the walls ... intently. This actually looks kind of ridiculous, uhh. There's a good reason for it, though. ]

... It may not look like it, but I'm trying to check something out in here.

Huh? Are ya sure?

[Again, it's because he's a guy. She's bad at talking to people her brother's age, not that she'd ever admit that in a first real conversation with someone.]

That's good, though! Really good! Getting any rest at all here feels like a miracle sometimes, doesn't it?

[She's fortunate, too. Her own memory was more about bad news for someone else. It just makes her...worry about the state of things.]

I'm alright. There's always stuff to do here, so it's best to keep busy, right? [On that note, though.] Hey, do ya want me to make you something? I'm having egg rice, fish, and leftovers for breakfast.

I plan to. I think I'll try to include as many flowers as I can for everyone...

[Just make little gardens for all of her precious people. She doesn't know shit about floriography, but maybe she can learn.

...She will take peaks at Elda's paper from time to time, though, while she works. Mostly to see who she's drawing? She's curious.]

[--Hi, Terumi! Sayaka practically jolts a bit at the sudden response, just kind of looking over with a...bit of a smile. Slightly intimidated, maybe.]

Well...I'm trying to do something that would allow plants to grow in the area. I guess I'm just kind of babbling a bit to myself about what'd work the best for that purpose.

[He laughs a little.]

No, I'm not okay. Between what I'm remembering, and everything that's happened here... it does things to you.

Tch, life is enough of a pain in the ass already. If you provide some sort of energy it'll find a way to take hold one way or another.

[ slowly, because these are much older memories, she is trying to make an image of this woman. she falls silent when Sayaka makes that comment about flowers, because she considers that to be that and she needs to concentrate. She can't get the face right, and it's bothering her - she erases it several times, it coming out too mean or too severe... she also edits the breasts a few times, usually making them bigger ]
