WEEK 5 Tabitha Smith, Sigrun Eide, and Solf J Kimblee are all dead. Regardless of what you think of the trial or the events leading up to it, there's no denying that you can feel the dent in your numbers now. After all, ten people are gone now. It may be hard, but all you can do is keep going. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... What with Jericho's excitement at the last trial, it's evident now more than ever that the new floor that's opened up to you is a gift, a reward for a job well-done. Because while surviving is something that you'll continue to try to do of your own merit...well. Let's say that he's so, so very proud of you. It's possible all of us do. We've forgotten enough that losing something like that wouldn't be unbelievable, and we still don't know how specifically we arrived here.

If that's the case, and Kimblee and three others ran an operation like this... [Also looking at you tbh, Kirei] Maybe they were unsanctioned?

[Rin taps the top of the file.] It says here he'd gone a long time without being caught, so whatever he was doing, they didn't find out about it until later.

That sure makes one wonder which ones among us would run a game like this one. There's no lack of candidates in here.

It's confirmed the other three are alive, though, or the Coordinator would have been cryptic earlier, before Kimblee-san died.

Even so, we should keep speculation on their identities to a minimum. We can't afford to lose focus and tear ourselves apart over something like that, with everything else that's on our plates.

[That's what the inventive is for. It's on the tip of her tongue, but thankfully she keeps that bad joke to herself.]

Likewise. It's been bothering me since we discussed it the first week.

[What with their unlimited funding, and Sigrun saying they're somewhere in a city. Is this just some business people walk by every day?]

... Industry? What the hell.

[ It sounds twisted, but maybe because it does it also is pretty believable. It's like, everytime he learns something new about these guys they piss him off even more? Wow. ]

If it's something like that, it wouldn't be just these two we'd need to figure out a way to stop.

Yeah. Sounds like he's trying to make sure the guy doesn't come back, ever. But I don't get why he needs to do it through this set up at all.

[ ...Has she run one and just not remembered it? This sort of thing seems like it'd be fun to watch; she hates being part of it, but she can imagine it'd be real entertaining, especially week after week... ]

I guess we'll know for sure if we catch another one and find another folder~ Once is happenstance, twice is meant to be, after all!

Yeah. Even those three probably wouldn't know. Whatever memories we get back, it's not going to be anything they don't want us having...

...unless this whole alternate universe thing is true? And then I don't see why they're taking it out on us at all.

I mean...alternate universes are definitely a thing. Different people, different versions. [ She says this with...some authority, honestly. ] That's what makes it even freakier.

I don't know how what one of them does is our problem, though? Unless he just means to kill every Kimblee, but there'd have to be an infinite amount.

[Infinite Kimblees.....Susan shudders a little.]

If Kimblee-san has died several times before, then that means he had the means to revive himself, or someone else has the means to do it.

[What could it be?]

I suppose it's not farfetched to think the Coordinators would erase someone's memory of directing one of these games to make him participate with the rest of us.

Correct. He already claimed to be dead during the trial, and I see no reason to think that was a lie. It's not beyond the realm of possibility that the Coordinators have such a resurrection power, which in turn means the power itself exists to be utilized by potentially more than them alone. And regarding the erasure of memories, there's little doubt what you're saying may well be precisely the case.

It almost makes me wonder if all of us have met that Jericho person before and we simply don't remember. It's true he referenced only four, but...he wouldn't set this whole game up if he only means to get those four killed, would he?

Well, I suppose he'd probably want to have a little fun with it. You know. Get about thirty one extra people involved just to have a good time.
