WEEK 6 You've lost a lot of people this week, haven't you? Katniss Everdeen and Weiss Schnee were killed for rule violations, while Chie Hori and Frank Archer were murdered by Mikoto Suoh and Yuuki Terumi. It doesn't really matter how they died, though, does it? After all, they're dead now and the only thing you can do is keep moving forward. It seems like there's no end in sight. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Changes were promised to you this week; while Sunday dawns seeming no different from the previous weeks, it seems one change is going to remain a constant - namely, a new floor has been opened up to you. Whether this is a promising sign or not is something that you're going to need to decide for yourself. The important thing, for now, is that you continue to do well. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 19

I suppose that if I was to put that aside, I cannot deny that I feel something for him unlike I've felt for anyone else.

We... can't abandon them. [She wants to bounce back with something, but she's finding it quite difficult to do just that. This seems to be her limit...]

[...That sure is a country she has never heard of, dang. She'll get her eggs started while she looks a little surprised.]

Really? Huh...I don't think I've heard about it, actually. It must be a very charming place, though, right?

[ Or at least he thinks he did, anyway. He'll move to lean against the counter, seeming more contemplative than anything. ]

When it was mentioned these guys had previous games going on, I thought about the idea they might try to start another game. But not like this, I guess.

[Estelle is strangely good at this kind of mood whiplash at times.]

Is that so? [She giggles a bit. Honestly, she loves hearing about other people's romance lives.]

So he is rather important to you.

Maybe we'll get the opportunity in the future. We'd need to get close enough to them, and not violate the rules. If that's even possible.

I'm aware that's not the most optimistic of things to say, but... I don't want to give up.

That's fine, make what you think sounds good.

If we get out of here, maybe I'll take you there. You'd think it'd get boring, with chicken being the only thing on the menu, but it's always been a favorite spot.

There are countless iterations of every person here, spread throughout an infinite number of universes. You, the Milla from your world, won't be the same Milla your hostage knows. The hostage you saw in the photo is very unlikely to be the same hostage you know from your world.

In other words, your hostage will be safe and sound in your world, most likely worrying about where you are and if something happened to you. Acting for your hostage's sake would mean sacrificing lives for someone you may not even meet, nor knows you.

[Kyrie shrugs]

But I suppose that doesn't make this motive any less awful.

Maybe we will be lucky and their building is right next door to ours.

[He seriously doubts it. But that's about the only way to make this situation any better.]

[The majority of them didn't take the latest "incentive" well, but Luca in particular had been... well. Distressing is probably the best way to put it.]

....How long have you been in here?

It makes me wonder if we are only here because someone we know was in a previous game of theirs.

[Luca can't think of anyone he particularly cares about who has been missing recently, though.]

[Given that it's so far out of the norm for him 'distressing' is probably a very good word for it.]

There is no clock in here.

...probably at least an hour, though.

[He always lost track of time during those impossibly long masses he had to attend back home, but he knows it hasn't been that long yet.]

Ah-- so you're saying they may very well be from another dimension.

[As she spoke it became clear that Milla knew what she was talking about. It hadn't occurred to her but as the woman spoke it began to make more and more sense.]

...yes, it's true that's quite possible. I have encountered such a thing in my world. If only we could speak with them. We may be able to see whether or not they truly diverge from the ones we know in our memories.

[Even so this... this is hope for her.]

M-maybe so...!

[Oh, she... really can't mood whiplash this conversation. It... just feels wrong with how down Luca seems.]

I wouldn't know, though I don't think it's likely. I haven't heard of anyone I knew up and disappearing to wherever.

We're probably mostly here because they thought we would make a good selection for 'playing' in this twisted game of theirs.

Yes. That is correct.

Do you have someone special like that, Estelle?

[Yeah, it's. It's not a great conversation. Luca falls silent for a bit after that, thinking instead of talking. But after a while, he will speak again.]

I thought praying might help, but it really hasn't.

The same is true for me, everyone was where they should have been.

[So maybe they're the first? And things will spiral out of control from there? So...maybe everything that is to happen to his loved ones is his fault?]

I could stand being here myself, I know I can take care of myself and stay alive. But Giovanni...he's six. How is he going to survive something like that?

[Estelle holds her hands up a bit defensively.]

I honestly don't. There are many people I care for at different levels, but no one special like that.

...prayer is a form of meditation, I find, in that we try to find hope within ourselves.

[She knows that fairytales aren't real, but that doesn't mean she doesn't like to pretend that maybe they're true sometimes.

[Milla chuckles.]

Well, there's nothing wrong with that. You're still young. I'm sure you'll find that person at the right time.

Perhaps I will.

[She smiles widely at this.]

After all, I still wish to travel and I think it would be difficult to do if I had someone like that.

[She's thinking of actually being settled and being married.]

[ Strange girl. Odd-tempered.

Could it be...? Alex sits there trying to...maybe communicate with them? Her eyes are narrowed and she's biting her bottom lip, but.

She shakes her head. ] They're...too tired for me to get any answers from. Well... I haven't... I didn't know they could like other people but I think...maybe... Wow.

That's not necessarily true. Jude and I traveled together for quite some time. Although it is not perhaps what is customary, I don't think there's any reason you should feel like you are bound to certain standards.

After all... travelling is best with good company.
