WEEK 6 You've lost a lot of people this week, haven't you? Katniss Everdeen and Weiss Schnee were killed for rule violations, while Chie Hori and Frank Archer were murdered by Mikoto Suoh and Yuuki Terumi. It doesn't really matter how they died, though, does it? After all, they're dead now and the only thing you can do is keep moving forward. It seems like there's no end in sight. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Changes were promised to you this week; while Sunday dawns seeming no different from the previous weeks, it seems one change is going to remain a constant - namely, a new floor has been opened up to you. Whether this is a promising sign or not is something that you're going to need to decide for yourself. The important thing, for now, is that you continue to do well. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 19

I'm afraid I haven't. Though a place of worship-- like for a deity of some sort?

[She makes a fist as she bumps it against her lower lip like she's thinking.]

It's been a long time since my world worshiped anything, so I'm afraid it's a foreign concept to me. Gods and goddesses are things of myth now.

Exactly the case, yes.

There are countless myths and legends about the divine for us as well--as many as there are people who choose to accept them as fact.

[firstaid]

Accept as fact...

[She has a hard time with this because, well, while there are beings of powers like Enetelexeia and Spirits, they aren't gods.]

...do you accept something like that, Kirei?

[blackmass]

I'm a priest, Estellise. That means my entire life and career is based solely around the idea that I do.

[firstaid]

[Estelle's expression looks as if something clicks...]

So that's what a priest does...!

[Yeah, she had no idea, I'm so sorry, Kirei.]

I thought it was something like a mage or something academic. I've never heard the term before.

[why this]

Essentially, yes. In my case there is some overlap with magic, but I am not exactly the standard for most things.

[firstaid]

[Because she's curious and she's still not determined that Kirei is an awful person.

Then again, unless someone does something like Mikoto did as well as their other remorseless killers, she won't even accept they're a bad person. Her life is full of naivete.]

What kind of magic do you do? Is it natural magic you can use or do you need a catalyst of sorts?

It varies; I've studied most fields of magecraft at some point or another, most of which require materials or at least magic circles. My innate skills revolve around healing and purification.

[firstaid]

That's my natural ability as well-- healing. Though people usually can't use magic innately in my world. They need a catalyst known as a Blastia and then study spells and magic to use it. For me, with a Blastia I can enhance my healing as well as use light based spells.

In theory, anyone in possession of a Blastia is capable of magic.

[blackmass]

I'm afraid I've never heard of something like that before. Elemental affinities are common for mages, but one needs to be born with the circuits to use magecraft. Rin would be able to explain in more detail than I would.

[firstaid]

I have spoken with her a little bit about that.

[Hmm...]

It's rather intriguing, however. Though, those of us born with the natural ability, unfortunately, we're also harmful to our world.

[She's referring to her secret here.]

Luckily, that seems to have been fixed thanks to a Spirit.

[blackmass]

...Sorry, what.

[firstaid]

Hmm? I said I'm harmful to the world at large, but a Spirit named Undine now resides within me and is controlling my powers. Well, obviously not here, but back home she is!

[blackmass]

[Because that's normal.]

I see.

[Guess what Kirei, it gets better...]

I had killed her with my power when she was the Entelexeia Belius, but with the help of my friend Rita, who is a mage, we used my power to revive her as the Water Spirit Undine! It was completely surprising when it happened since all Rita wanted to do was control my power so I wouldn't hurt myself or the world. Who would have thought, with the correct catalysts, it would raise the dead like that so long as we had their soul? We think it will only work with the Entelexeia, however, since when a human dies, we don't know what happens to their souls.

[So basically, Estelle is a secret goddess of sorts in the correct conditions.]
